Do digestive enzymes make a person hungier? I have been taking them due to digestion issues and they work great but i feel like i'm always hungry. Anybody have any experience?

Good for you. Wow, you handled that situation so well. Think about how you would have reacted before 10 days ago and how you are now. I think you deserve a huge gold star. Hey, everyone has cravings, but your thoughts are now being programmed differently. I think that is an amazing step in progress for you.

curly girl, I just wanted to let you know that I understand your struggles. I'm going through the same thing right now, I'm here for you. I'm sorry that your work hasn't called you yet, I'm glad you realize that it's not you its them. Keep up the great work. I know all to well that a binge makes us feel nasty, but give yourself a big big big huge for not purging. What an improvement, I'm prou

I also agree. Raw food has definately helped my posture, even when I don't exercise or stretch. I find that when I eat purer and cleaner (I'm not 100% raw) I sit up straighter. I think it's because I feel lighter and more aware and open to the world, not sure if that makes sense.

156. Omega's
Hello Everyone, I'm curious as to the benefits of the omega's (3, 6 and 9). What foods supply them? Why do we need them? Are there symptoms of deficiency? Is it okay to take supplements and if so how much? I'm sorry for all the questions, but lately it's like my body has been thinking of them, and I haven't before, so I'm wondering if its trying to tell me something. I don't eat alot of fat. I

I'm not sure if I can ask this here, but I want to help people. I want to learn more about raw foods. Does anyone know of becoming certified in raw food nutrition or cooking? It's so appealing to me, but the things I see on the internet seem like a joke. Where can a person get an education for this type of thing? Any input is greatly appreciately appreciated.

I understand how you feel. My family thinks it's weird and it is a big life change. The hardest challenge for me is accepting that I know that this is right and will benefit me. It's hard being so different from others and not being "accepted". I'm just trying to adjust little by little and hope for the best. I sure feel better for the most part, and just try to keep my thoughts positiv

Thanks everyone. I knew I could count on you guys for support. It's just so frustrating when I don't comment on their food or bodies sizes, I expect the same respect. Can't we all just live in peace? Thank you all again, you make me feel so much better.

Okay, sorry to complain, but i just hate it when people comment on my food. I guess I will stop eating in the lunch room. How do you eat just fruit and veggies? That's why your so thin. Why do you eat that? That's all I hear all the time and I"m just sick of it. I just got questioned and basically made fun of by a lady in the lunch room who was talking about her diabetes. There is alot I cou

How about tomatoes and cucumbers? I just peel the cucumber when I'm having digestive issues. But I've been on a real tomatoe kick lately and just can't get enough. Papaya is good too, basically anything soft and lots of green juices to replace those veggies. Just my two cents, I am nooooo expert.

I know how you feel. Today I had some celery for lunch. I had a big salad at my desk at 10:30am and then went into the kitchen to eat with friends at 12:30. I was eating my celery and someone gave me the most disgusted look and said where's the peanut butter? I said, i like to taste my vegetables and they looked at me like I was crazy. I laughed and it seemed to make her mad. I kind of got a kick

I put spinach and romaine in mine. That's my favorite. I never put fruit, but I've seen recipes for romaine, spinach, and a banana. I believe people use dark leaft greens (kale, etc) and romaine. They are quite tasty!

I find that anything dark green takes away cravings. If I'm craving fries or something, I'll eat some spinach or make a nice juice and it goes away. If it's really bad, I'll heat the spinach up a bit and enjoy it that way. It really helps me. I find that fruit only increases my craving, and veggies take them away. Who knows, everyone is different!

It also takes your body time to adjust. I've read or heard that diarrhea is cleaning out toxins of your body. SO, I'd just give it some time. I think raw is right for everyone, it's just a slow transition. I've learned that I'm not comfortable being 100% raw. I still love my coffee and steamed veggies, but that's all I eat that isn't raw, and hopefully one day, these habits will die off to. I u

Did you have any bowel problems before you went raw? I ask because I have chrones disease (not to scare you) and have all of the symptoms you do. Raw helps, but I'm not 100% raw yet, so I still have quite some problems. Days were I'm 100% raw are perfect. If you didn't have problems before, I'd say take it slow and start eliminating some foods that give you trouble. I find citrus and alot of f

Hello All, I have seen this before but cannot find it today. How long can green smoothies stay fresh? I normally don't put fruit in my smoothies just greens, don't know if that makes a difference. But if I made one at 6:45am and ate it at 12:30ish would that be okay? I can put it in the fridge at work. Thanks everyone!!!!! Lizard

That's really amazing. Good for you, do you also feel like you have more energy? Or notice any differences in the way you feel? I also have been thinking about doing this the last few days, cause I love greens but I know they so hard to digest. I'm so happy for you! Lizard

Thank you Wheatgrass Yogi. Yes, you are so right. I've realized that. I try so hard to help her, but sometimes I feel like it just enables her more. She doesn't listen, I woke up Saturday to the sound of her eating cereal. It is disappointing, but she's happy that way, just suffers terribly physically for it, but its her life and her choices. Patty, I don't have any advise for you but I just wanted to say that you are doing a great job. You're trying your best to treat your body right and that's all that matters. It takes time and I think we all learn that. I've been 75% raw for about 7 months now. Honestly, she tries to eat healthy but a goal of eating fruits and veggies, isnt really it. Its more of her trying to rid herself of constant yeast infections, and "burning". She's dealt with this forever and antiboitics have stopped working for her. She really just desperate. I've read that raw can cure anything. I've been having her more raw and steamed veggies and she likes it. I'm

Hello Everyone, I'm so excited, my grandmother is going to try to go 100%. She has some medical issues going on and nothing has helped her after about 15 years of suffering. I often wonder this myself about the afternoon munchies. Here is my theory: Growing up we went to school and came home about 3pm. Then we had a nice snack, or at least I did of cookies, or chips, whatever was there. Usually cookies. Now its like imbred in us. Just an opinion, but I think that's true for me. Any thoughts?

Hello All You Wonderful People, I have been about 75% raw for about 7 months. The past week or two I have kind of fallen off the wagon. I've been drinking coffee, raw all day, until dinner. That's were I've been slipping craving salty warm food and I've been giving into it. I feel horrible and depressed. All of you are such an inspiration, but I need help and advice. There are two main kinds, Chrones Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. I can tell you I have Chrones Di
