Re lowered glutathione, it might not be a bad idea to do coffee enemas along with supplementation of the predigested form of Vit B-6 (as well as zinc). What do you think? Whenever I hear about things like heavy metal toxicity, I suspect that poor liver function could be a factor. So, where does one start. Depends on what kind of practitioner you consult with, I guess. By the way, re &quo

Janetc, you've just described exactly why it's impossible to design a juicer that does all vegetables and fruit well. It would appear that it's just not doable, except maybe for the Norwalk. Anybody have $2,000 to throw around? Me, I have an ancient Omega, the 8001. I think it was the prototype for the single auger style, but not sure. It's a real pain for hard vegetables such as carrot and

Well, maybe those Pussy Rioters should not have entered private property, disrupted the religious service and made vile, slanderous statements right there in the church. Try that in a mosque, girlies, and let's see what happens. One of those poor dears previously had stuffed a chicken up her tw*t right in a supermarket. So, maybe they are not being treated well in jail, but they need to s

Yes, it's true that if we are very well nourished we will be able to handle cold temperatures with greater ease than if we are malnourished. However, there certainly is some point at which you can be expected to have to dress up warmer - what point do you think that would be? By the way, regarding low thyroid: if this is indeed the problem, you will feel cold virtually all the time, not ju

I just recalled that various health practitioners tell you to mix your carrot juice with some bitter greens (a lot isn't necessary, just a bit) to make it a healthy drink that doesn't zap your liver and good blood sugar challenges. For example, fresh dandelion greens would be good, or even the green carrot tops. For me, pure carrot jce is just too sweet anyway.

I think powerlifer has it pretty well summed up. That carrots are a high source of oxalates is actually news to me. I know if foods are high in oxalic acid if I get cramps. No cramps = good food to me, anyway.

Celery, both the seeds and the stalks, are an old time remedy for HBP. Don't let anybody tell you that celery is "full of sodium". It does contain some naturally bound organic sodium, but the problem is not with this form of sodium, it's SALT. Sodium Chloride. These are not the same thing. If you can stand to eat about a dozen stalks of celery a day, this might work. Who knows. I

"I personally rather focus on restoring the gut flora and stomach acid when it comes to digestive health. It is largely the gut flora which controls peristalsis." Not disagreeing with you, but I always thought it was bile flow that got things moving. Good bile flow = good peristalsis. Of course all parts of the body work together, don't they.

They make all sorts of claims for Holy Tea, but I dunno. I tried it a few years ago. It's basically just a cathartic, it makes you "go" like crazy.Yet they promote it as some sort of cleanout formula. Re triphala. Good thing it comes in capsules now. I tried it years ago from an India grocery store when it was just in powder form. I assure you that nothing in the universe coul

To: michelemm: Dr. Weil says, "Following a gluten-free diet will usually greatly improve and may even completely resolve symptoms, heal existing intestinal damage, and prevent further problems. Improvements can begin within days of starting the diet. Healing completely involves a restoration of the intestinal villi that can absorb nutrients from food into the bloodstream as well as kee

I sometimes wonder why (some) people struggle so much to find a way of eating that'll keep them feeling great - as if your diet is all that should matter. If you have to watch every molecule you stick into your mouth, something is wrong somewhere. We were designed to be more flexible than that, we should be able to depart a bit from perfection in daily life, without collapsing into symptoms of

If you should find the hen, I hope you will put her in a safe place, away from predators. I've seen hawks attack hens and I thought it was a cruel death. Domesticated animals are helpless, and dependent on us to keep them safe.

Oh yes. It's true. Unless we are rigid (orthorexic), we are shifting our diets all the time: you eat unusually salty food (just because it's there and it looks like it might be 'tasty'), then you will want to drink more water or juice than you normally do. But I guess you are talking about more dramatic shifts. I recall an old Asian herbalist saying that you sometimes have to make the body &

Well put. Cannot disagree with that. He'd likely have died a long time ago if not for his healthy way of life. So, why doesn't the family come out and say so? Probably because when it comes to non-standard diet and lifestyle, we are judged by the rest of society by a different set of standards. We are expected to live unusually long, incredibly healthy, lives (never get sick!) if we want to be

You are most welcome! Well, Andreas' "ener-chi family" - whoever that is - has posted the following, now. It is pretty vague as to "cause" of death in the accepted, physical, medical sense. Their message - that your soul finds a way to hasten your "transition" when your duties and purposes in life are complete - is something I've certainly heard before and do not q
