yes, it is considered a dark leafy green. I recommend the book "Green for life" by Victoria Boutenko, and making green smoothies out of your greens. It is important to rotate your greens (spinnach, kale, parsley, lettuces, etc) because your body will be over taxed by the alkaloids in each plant by eating the same greens day after day. you will feel sick and not desire greens at all

before getting a Green Star juicer, I would make juice with a vita mix using leafy greens with an apple and 1/2 lemon and some water, then strain through a "nut milk" bag and it was fantastic. include the lemon rind.

I have a Champion (for sale) with a blank plate, made almond butter really easy. I recently bought a Green Star $415, almost twice the price, twice the parts, twice the cleanup time, but much more juice and drier pulp. very good for juicing leafy greens and not so good with the wheat grass. one thing I don't like about the Green Star is the fluffy foam on top of the juice, I filter it out after

make a green smoothie with parsley, banana and apple. Parsley or any chloriphyll rich leafy green will help your breath. brush your teeth, gargle, don't sweat it.

Since the fall has arrived, the cold and shorter days have had an influence on my 100% raw food plan. I'm now about 90% raw, eating a few cooked vegan meals per week. I too miss the abundance of fruits we had this summer. what helps to keep me motivated and on track: -watching inspiring and educational videos on youtube -making videos to put on youtube see: 2008Raw2008 -watching Rawkatho

Since it has gotten chilly (past few weeks?) I have had some vegan cooked meals, to feel grounded and more satisfied. I also discovered the great benefits of digestive enzymes. I take Digest Gold (quite pricey, but the best) by Enzymedica. At least the cooked food isn't robbing me of enzymes anymore. No digestive problems whatsoever. Also, a great anytime cleanser is pure water with organi

It wouldn't hurt to limit the fruit to 1-2 servings a day. Quit all animal products. also, read up on "food combining" simply put, only eat fruit alone don't eat carbohydrates with protein or fat eat less protein apples can be combined with vegetables aw, shucks, I'm not an expert on this. read "fit for life" for the food combining rules. I would h

What has helped me go raw: 1) believe it or not, there are tons of people going raw on youtube, i watched a bunch of videos by the well known people, they continue to inspire me... especially since I don't have anyone close to me who is on a raw diet ( where I live temporarily, there are lots of raw fooders in Ashland Oregon, where I visit a lot) 2) great books by Victoria boutenko, who liv

Maca is great for balancing hormones. (search for more info) radishes are greeat for normalizing thyroid. try that. also, try Emotional Freedom Technique, has helped with weight issues when diet & exercise alone don't work. www.emofree.com you can learn to do it on yourself in about a half hour, free instructions on the website. good luck, and please try to worry less.
