When I eat salad dressings, they are healthy. I make ones that contain no saline outside of what is naturally found in greens, no oils, and no vinegars. For a sample of the type of dressing I recommend, check out: Many people load tons of fat onto their salads as well in the form of avocados, which I don't recommend outside of an occasional treat. But green smoothies are fine if you're ge

loeve Absolutely. I make no bones on my site about the fact that it's Dr. Doug Graham's diet that originally healed me of my problems. I eat so many greens, and thrive, becuase I follow his recommendations.

The raw leafy greens I suggest are low in cellulose. I'm not suggesting broccoli, kale, etc.

Sorry about losing. I wrote that late last night after a full day as a reporter writing two stories, so the grammar wasn't at its best. And I'm really far more concerned with people who who askew fruit for fat and greens than those who avoid greens while eating plenty of fruits. Most fat eaters tend to have problems, but I've only received a few emails from the veggie avoiders with issues.

One of the questions I'm always being asked by raw fooders is about the place of greens in a raw food diet. I eat a lot of fruits, so people seem to think that means I can't have a lot of greens too. I'm constantly being emailed by people wondering where I get whatever their curious about without greens. I think there's a huge misconception about the caloric role that greens play in raw d

I do 80/10/10. I healed my colitis with it and lost weight. I have tremendous amounts of energy, and trained for a marathon over the summer (injured myself so I couldn't run it). I'm back training again and having a blast. My experience is that the only people who get sick on 80/10/10 don't follow it correctly (too much fat, too little fruit, no greens, etc). I have heard to people loosing th

I wouldn't agree that all food needs to be wrinkled, but certainly most people eat some fruits before they're optimally ripe. You can tell by taste when you're biting into a banana that the starch hasn't been converted into sugar yet. On the other hand, don't wait around for an orange to get wrinkly, because it'll be bad by the time you do. Same thing with an apple.

Most of the migraines disappeared after giving up meat, dairy, eggs, and processed food. After several months on a raw food diet the few that I was still getting went away. I sometimes will now get minor headaches if I eat too much fat. The diet I follow is here:

On a healthy raw food diet you've often got 100s of pounds of fruit in your house or apartment, and learning how to ripen it efficiently so it's ready to eat at the right time can be tough. I threw together this guide to help new raw fooders out:

When I was starting off as a raw foodist I had a hell of a time managing the sometimes hundreds of pounds of fruit in my house. Fruit flies, ripening time, and tons of other problems arose. I've worked out some good strategies that have helped me out, and I thought I'd share them with other raw foodists. This article: is on fruit handling. It's the first part of a larger series, foun

These cravings are signs. One or more of the following is probably happening: 1) You do not eat enough calories total in your day. 2) You eat too much fat (above 10 percent of calories from fat). 3) You're not eating enough fruit- the simple sugars in fruit send a signal to your brain that satisfies your hunger. 4) You haven't severed your emotional ties to cooked food. To figure ou

I'm afraid that I can just offer you one more opinion. I'd say avoid the pills, supplements and super foods. Eats a low fat raw vegan diet will give your body everything it needs. My recommendation for a healthy diet is better explained Here:

Hey guys. I've been toying with the idea of running a marathon for the last couple years, but I've always put it off. I'm been blandly running my regular 4-6 miles a day with no real change up or challenge. Well screw that. I want to shake things up a bit. I've got too much energy to just plod along through life, and a raw food diet is the reason for the change. Running marathons came up in
