Hello my dearest raw foodies!! I have been really really busy the last two weeks with dental school preparations, so I haven't had time to post, but now I have some time!! First some photo updates!! FRONT (not quite sure if I see much of a difference) SIDE (oooo, my little belly is smaller! I noted that when I lay down, it seems like I have no body fat. Perhaps this is just skin?)

Hey guys!! I want to give support to people who fear the gym! Serious athletes, body builders and trainers do not think poorly of anyone making the effort to improve their physique! And others at the gym who judge you are usually very insecure in themselves and NEED to think these things to give themselves the confidence to continue. It isn't such a mature thing to do, but guys!! Don't let

I also think they taste kinda bland and gross. Luckily I didn't spend a lot of money on a whole bag of them. Good luck with plumpling them though! xxpeisi

a 3 fruit smoothie with either sesame seeds, grapes, or spinach added for their good properties, a large salad of spinach, ruccola or watercress with red and yellow peppers, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, and tons of italian spices. (alt pears and walnuts), and a fruit (usually an orange) snack is a big bowl of dark grapes, a cucumber and an apple, or a cup of coffee with vegan cream and honey

What a great answer, Bryan!! I have to say that for some reason, when I ask advice, I tend to hope one of the people who replies is Bryan. He does give great tips, explains himself well, and I have learned a lot from his experiences. So a big thanks to him for helping me on my raw journey!! much love, xxpeisi

Hey earthangel! Been very busy this week and haven't checked my journal much... MMMmmm, I like low protein foods because high protein ones hurt my kidney. Also, lots of berries make me feel better. I think fats make me fatigued... Berries, salads and zucchini make me feel really good though. xxpeisi

This is interesting! When my brother was little (and even still), he eats a big bowl of broccoli while watching movies, as though it is pop corn or chips. Very sweet. xxpeisi

Gosia- I am gonna do the same as you and post what I eat, my exercise and pics every week instead of writing down a bunch of info every day. Everyone, thank you for the compliments! I wanted to put my pics up because I thought it might help others feel less shy and also to help the noobies take an interest in the trial!! Off to work now, good luck all you raw pretties!! xxpeisi

Hey!! I think I mentioned why I chose bananas. Cheap, high in energy, other people did the fast and said it worked well for them... That was about it really. xxpeisi

Hehe it rocks guys! Try this one: take a whole zuchinni and use the cheese graters largest nubs to grate it into "pasta" blend: 2 tomatoes, 10 sun dried tomatoes, clove of garlic, teaspoon jalapeno (optional), 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoons herbs (I like parsley and basil), 2 dates and blend until it forms a "tomato sauce". Put sauce on pasta and garnish with

I consider myself a raw vegan, and I eat honey only when I have a cup of tea or coffee with vegan cream. It isn't ideal, but I look at it like this: I eat raw cashews even though they aren't raw, but I don't feel guilt. I eat olives sold in glass jars even though I hear they aren't raw. Taste fine to me! I don't believe bees get harmed when their honey is taken, and I am extremely sensitiv

Everyone here probably knows this already though... But I just tested the grater to see if the noodles would come out right, and they did!

Do you love your "pasta" with zucchini noodles and fresh raw tomato sauce? Here is a tip: use your cheese grater on the fattest nubs to get "angel hair pasta", or on the back there should be one long slicer for cutting cheese- this makes awesome lasagna noodles. And chances are, you already have this in your kitchen! xxpeisi

meow and earthangel, thanks so much for the compliments! You two sure know how to make a girl blush!! So for those who didn't read on the other forum, I quit my banana fast after one day because it made me so violently ill. Either that many bananas isn't for me, or I have a lot to detox... Either way, the detox was too much and I do not believe it was in my best interest to continue. I

Hey guys! Well, on waking up this morning and knowing I would have to do very heavy work, I decided it was best to break the mono eating. I am surprised that it affected me so strongly- especially since I have been 95% raw for so long! Honestly, I am still very suspicious when it comes to the whole "detox" bit, and sometimes I wonder if it is just a cover word to put over the phase o

Bryan- can I really be reaching the height of the cleanse in as little as 10 hours of being on a mono-banana fast? I agree that it would be a waste of effort, but I can't do my job when I feel this bad. And I feel really bad. Has anyone else banana-fasting gotten really sick on the fast? Maybe I ate a bad banana or something. I am gonna try to get some sleep. My mind isn't made up whet

UPDATE: Holy hell! I was doing fine until about 6 pm today, and then BLAM! I have a mean headache. Can a detox come this soon? I really feel ill. With the fast I was expecting detox, but I think I am too wimpy to handle this while working. Also, the thought of eating one more banana at this point is making me extremely nautious. I am most likely going to stop the fast tomorrow morning

I didn't demand that you not be rude in a public forum or tell you what to do. I didn't take away your right to respond. I ASKED you to respect me enough not to be mean or say negative things without fully explaining yourself, because it is bringing me down. I explained how you came across negatively at the beginning of this post, but based on other posts I have read of yours, that is just th

Jaha! I didn't know that vegetables slowed down sugar absorption in the body! Why didn't I know that? Well, I guess I do now! Thanks! Heheh, see guys? This banana fast is teaching me stuff already! Normally, I am more of a veg. person than a fruit person, but I think this might have been what caused me to eat lots of greens and fewer fruits, feel less satisfied because my sugar intake w

From what I understood, you were being negative. You didn't show me any evidence that eating 10 bananas a day is high sugar and you presented yourself in a way that would give someone starting a fast a lot of insecurity- all this is negative. You didn't address me in the post or show any sign that you wanted a dialogue at all. I gather that your point was "it is wrong to do a banana fast&quo

Banana-fasting Today marks the beginning of my banana fast. I sat outside in the sun for nearly an entire day to deliberate whether I should choose bananas, grapes, oranges or pineapple, and I think I made the right choice for my first mono-eating experience ever! Naners. I chose them because they are not highly acidic like oranges or pineapples (while pineapple is my favourite fruit, I th

djatchi- hi there... I want you to know that earthangel is a good friend and valuable support to me on this forum, and I do not appreciate you posting on a thread I have started to be rude to her with the comment "can you think for yourself?". When you make mean statements like this, it makes it difficult for me to read what you are saying and take your advice seriously, as I don't warm
