djatchi- high dose of sugar? I'm only planning on eating maybe 10 bananas a day. How much sugar do you eat every day? Earthangel- thanks love!! I feel pretty good about doing this fast. I even ate 4 bananas today just thinking about starting the banana fast tomorrow morning, so I think it will be good. I am going to aim for 7 days, eating maybe 10 bananas a day but if it starts to feel stra

Hej guys, I think I am gonna try 3 days of mono eating bananas. I might aim for a week, depending on how I feel, but I have never done this kind of thing before and I don't know what to expect. Has anyone here done a banana fast before? What was the experience like? What should I be prepared for? -thanks xxpeisi

Hey! I will read those links later this afternoon! Thanks I think I definately agree with not having overt fats every day. I guess I just wanted some verification from you because you are more experienced with raw than I am. I do use calculators- both fitday and nutridiary- to get an approximation of where my fats are coming from and how much the percentages are. I am a bit paranoid about th

I am thinking of trying this fast, but I don't want to hurt myself. I am kinda skeptical when it comes to fasting, and I don't really have any liver or gastrinomical ailments, so I am not sure how the grape fast would really benefit me. I need to do some more thinking about this. I also don't want to damage my metabolism... I also wonder if the hunger you were feeling was a craving for vitami

Fresh- thanks! Yeah, the nuts I get (walnuts and almonds) are fresh. I invested in a handy little nut cracker, and I am fortunate enough to have an excellent farmers market on my street. I know I could eat more fruit, but... I feel like I am already eating a lot of fruit. It isn't that I don't like fruit, because I really really do, but... Well, I don't know what it is. I am going to try

I am interested in the 80-10-10 approach, but I seem to be stuck on a 60-30-10 or so, 30 being my fats. Can you give some advice on how to eat ca 1500 cals on a 80-10-10 diet? I feel like I am already eating tons of fruit, and I am afraid of becoming tired if I drastically cut back on nuts... Recommendations? thanks in advance, xxpeisinoe

Hey sachelle! Yes, I have been working hard and going out a lot with my friends. I made some raw lasagna in front of my neighbour and she thinks I have totally lost it. "Lasagna? But.. It has no meat? And... It has no noodles!!!" "I never understood why vegans say meat disgusts them, but then they eat food that is supposed to mimick how meat tastes" "That looks like

Does anyone here notice that in the warmer months, the need for outdoor cadio dominates and lifting weights indoors nearly ceases? Just wondering if anyone else was going through this. During the winter, I am usually pumped to lift weights, but now that summer is coming, I found it very boring and I just wanted to be running around or cycling outside in the sun instead! xxpeisi

Hey guys! Had a wonderful zombie jesus weekend with family and friends! It was really great and I am in such a good mood! Spent most of the weekend with my bro, and he is one of my favourite people to spend time with!! Made a really gross smoothie... I didn't have any bananas, and the shops were all closed on account of jesus dying, so I made: strawberry, coconut, dates in a smoothie. blehk

I don't have/can't afford a dehydrator... That is why I want to order the cookies. I read this one though, and it got me interested in them. When I saw a photo of them, I decided i had to try them!! Now it is just about finding relatively fast and cheap shipping...

Any Europeans got a hookup for raweos or raw cookies? I have the chocolate fixed, but I think those raweos look so yummy, I want some but I don't want to pay insane shipping on it. Advice?

Hey guys! Just got the results of my last exam, and I passed!! I am doing pretty well, but I have been working a lot and it seems that when I get home, all I can do is sit on the couch with a bowl of grapes and fall asleep while watching tv. I feel like a middle-aged man, but with grapes instead of beer, haha! yesterday, I worked for 7 hours outside delivering mail, so my shift was almost

I actually have the same kinda lump inside my mouth on the lower left side of my lip. When I close my jaw, it would be about the same level as my lower first molar. It is just kinda a hard mass of skin. I thought it was just from biting my lip, but I have no idea now... xxpeisi

Hey!! I am originally from Canada. Today, at work, a priest (of all people) critisized my vegan diet. (he doesn't know I am raw, he would have probably made a lot of jokes about me then.) He remarked that I didn't eat "real" food. He didn't understand how I could run around as a mailman only eating "rabbit food". Isn't it strange to hear this from a preist, who pus

Just want to add (dental student here), check your calcium intake... Most rawgetarians don't get enough minerals and this is crucial for strong teeth. I agree with the flouride bit, which gets me a lot of critisism from my classmates/collegues. I do not believe it works, never use it, and I don't have any holes. I brush with a tad of baking powder and rinse. So far so good, I have not had

Sachelle- my opinion about working on the island changed today. 10 hours straight of work. I am totally wiped. This is the first time I have been exhausted in a long time. Too tired to make dinner. Just cut up leftover cabbage (green and purple) and threw it n a bowl with some lemon juice, nama shoyu and pumpkin seeds. I have some grapes in the fridge as well. I was thinking about making a &qu

Hey guys!! Made the switch to a "milk replacement drink". It is a "milk" made with raw oats, cacao and vitamin B12/B1/B2 and calcium supplementation! It is so perfect for my needs, I think, as these are the vitamins/minerals I am usually a bit short on. Anyway, for dinner tonight, I made Julianno's "Strawberry Romanov". Slice lots of strawberries, and layer th

Sachelle- I know there is bug and nematode cysts and bacteria everywhere, but... I would rather not have a very concentrated and large amount of feces in my food. Ew ew ew.... At least fruits and veg i can scrub. I bought some nori paper in the end, anyway, and I made some really yummy sushi!! This stuff is so filling: Ingredients I used: Nori Paper Portabello Mushrooms, diced and marinat

Hey guys!! Just want to post about how mortified I am! I saw the movie "Junk Food Nation" and I feel like I am going to throw up. After seeing this film, I don't know how I can shop or consume animal products with a clear conscience. Honey is perhaps the only exception... But no more leather products, milk or cream, eggs or egg product, make up tested on animals, and the li

No, he is not raw. He eats lots of thai food. But I love him lots no matter if he eats bugs and worms. Today I had: Banana, cup of frozen strawberries, a big piece of coconut meat for my breakfast smoothie. MMMmmmmm it was so creamy and good, I am definately gonna make that one more often! But now I must study. 3 days left until my exam! Eeep!!
