Acck! Your dad drives a hard bargain! But, as you said you can pay him off quickly. And, if that circuit isn't strong enough, you could have one wired in for not too much money. i don't know what CA prices would be, but in my area a competent licensed handyman could do that job for probably less than $100.00. I'm sure you will be very happy with it. Have you watched the "will it ble

Most "modern" kitchens have at least one 15 amp circuit, if not a 20 amp. I am not sure if Blendtec rates that amp as the max draw or not - it would be interesting to know. Also, you could get one of those "kill-a-watt" meters to connect in the line to determine exactly how much draw there is during use.

Well, It's settled then - the general feeling on here is not to do it. Although they would be ground to a powder & would most likely cause no problems, I imagine the taste would be "off", as prev. mentioned. On other forums, many do eat the hulls as well...

powerlifer, It's all about "spooky" "mystical" & all that third eye going crazy stuff... If anyone was under the influence of that stuff (providing it actually worked) or any other hallucinogenic chemical, they would no longer have a job when they showed up at my shop... But I suspect it's all just a bunch of hooey... or maybe your shipment got contaminated/x-

From the other sites I am reading they say to chew the shell up well before swallowing. Supposedly the extra fiber is good for you. I don't know all the details, and it seems many on the other sites don't either. Maybe it is just a case of being to lazy to hull them first, as they are a pain to break open, esp. if you plan on using many in a recipe.

"I think the only thing worse than NCLB is this monster called Race to the Top(RTTT). When you teach for test results, you end up with morons with no critical thinking skills. This is presently the only valid argument, IMO, against federally mandated curricula or means. But it can be corrected; the solution is not to hand over decisions over curricula to likewise unconstructive thinkers.&quo

I think the taste will probably be masked by dates, coconut or other stuff that we decide to throw in, lol.

I did a search on this & found about 1/2 eat the shells & 1/2 spit them out. I was going to make some raw cookie bars using sunflower seeds & am planning on grinding them up to a course powder. Sound okay to everyone?

Kidraw, I agree with Curator; Don't view yourself as "too old" to wear those clothes. If you "feel it" & like it, then wear it. My wife is "40's" & dresses exactly like those pics you posted. I think she looks young & very cute, er...hot! in those styles. Mature women look great in those "young" styles, even though many think that

Well, given their ages, I am sure she has an inkling of what is going on & what may happen. I don't know all of the details, but she must know that her husband at age 93 was possibly close to passing...? Either way it will have an impact on her to tell her, but at this point, I would opt to tell her before the operation. It is the right thing to do morally, and she may even be more upse

It's making for lively talk radio banter - I listen to a wide variety of talk/am/shortwave/internet stream & I am hearing a lot about it. Curiously, in liberal Boston the consensus is that it was a bad idea as well... One caller brought up an interesting point; What exactly was "educational" about this demonstration?

The topic of the day was bondage, swinging and other fetishes... Eh...? I wouldn't want my child attending classes where they promote deviant sexual behavior...but then again, this is my conservative point of view.

Well... You are missing out on the fiber, of course... And, the vit/minerals/etc that are thrown away with the pulp. That never bothered me very much. I juiced for years before ever making smoothies. Nowadays, I like to do a mix of both - although I must say...now that you mention it, I believe I prefer juice to thick smoothies... I got spoiled over the years by making juice with t

coco, It's not that "Us Americans" don't care...well, maybe some don't... But the majority of us are completely disgusted with what is going on in this country. The only solution that many of us see would be for a coup to occur... And, so many sheeple are brainwashed by the mainstream media that they wouldn't go along with that. I don't know which group of people the militar

I heard on the radio last night that the Hasbro Easy-Bake Oven has been redesigned & now features a heating element inside. Previously, it used a 100 watt bulb to bake the treats... I am fairly sure that everything incandescent will be gone. I noticed the trend in my shop a few years ago. All of the tool suppliers started selling the LED type shop lights instead of the standard dr
