sebzzz I had this problem when i first went raw. Its so uncomfortable! I did a short veggie juice fast followed by a couple of days on water, back to veggie juice then slowly added fruits. I made sure that i food combined for several months afterwards. I also did a lot of mono eating. The second time i started raw, the bloating returned. I repeated the above and it stopped immediately. I Agree with DMZ and la_veronique. Focus on what you are doing. I have made the mistake of sharing what im doing with others and often found that im just handing them a stick to beat me with! I know whats right,I eat raw i feel good. I eat cooked i feel ill. Simple as that. I just dont tell people any more. I just do it. About the only people i share with are my immediate family,

Hi Dancer I have recently returned to the forum. I share your appreciation of the people here. I appreciate the openess, deep understanding, willingness to share experience time and information. I would not have enjoyed my past level of health and wellbeing without the support i received here. It was revisiting this site that motivated me to return to raw. So a big thankyou to all here

Hi EZ rider Thanks for sharing. It will be a slow process for me too! Ive had a couple of all raw days (only because i felt like eating fruit and i find juices sustaining). I did A mono pineapple day. It was wonderful. Baked potato helped me transition once before. Maybe its worth trying again. I like baked sweet potato and butternut squash. Im aiming for high not total just now so that

Hi I have been high raw for many years now. I was very comfortable with it. I eat mainly fruit and drink green juices and smoothies. I exercise daily. Things were going reasonably well, then, in February, my brother suddenly died. The effect of his death sent me spiraling out of control. I didnt eat for three days, started drinking tea. I spent a huge amount of time with relatives dri

I saw Lowri on Tv this morning. She has decided to opt for botox. She said that she needs to keep her wrinkles at bay because otherwise it will shorten her tv career! Well............. I agree Azure, eating raw does need to come from a place of wishing to do something positive for your health and wellbeing. Ms Turner obviously wasnt coming from that place. It tends to be quick fix stuff tha

Azura Skye Thanks for posting the info. Im interested to find out whats actually discussed. I agree that it may not be a positive message, but like you im keeping an open mind. Lowerie Turner recently tried a short spell on RV food. She did it in order to write about it for the daily mail. Unsurprisingly, she is choosing not to continue with the diet now that the trial period is over. I

Hi zekezized I agree with the posts above. Fruit and greens. Green smoothies! Pineapple, romanie and ice does the trick for me. Mono eating pineapple also works. Keep hydrated. Plenty of water whilst transitioning.(especially if eating dehydrated foods) Been there with the laxatives too. After 6 months raw, i ate some cooked and spiraled out of control. Whilst trying desperately to ret

Hi Suncloud I have fruit 'fast' and juice 'fast' days. It works really well for me. Reading your post has made me think about incorporating a water 'fast' day. I also need to avoid placing myself into marathon type effort and risking the yo yo effect that can so often follow. You have inspired me to give it a try as i feel that i could manage a day a week. It could easily be incorporated

Wow! tastes great! I have just blended and strained half a large pineapple, a small orange and a stick of celery. I dont have a nut bag so i squeezed the pulp through cheese cloth. It yielded half a pint of juice. Im impressed. This will really cut down on juicer clean up time in the mornings for me and increase the amount of juice i drink through out the day! Thanks prism for that little ge

Hi prism I like the idea of making juice in the vitamix. So much easier to clean up afterwards! I will be trying it out tomorrow morning. I noticed a huge difference in quality and taste between the juice from a centfifugal juicer compared to a twin gear, so im curious to find out what blended and strained juice tastes like. Infact, im going to have to go and try it now! Curiosity just g

Hi Corizza I lived through over 10 years of anticandida dieting, avoiding fruit and sugar, plus antifungal treatments. I also tried gourmet and low fat low sugar approaches to raw. I then found this site. Bryan explained the same thing to me as he just has to you in the post above. It made perfect sense to me. he set me on the road to recovery. That was over three years ago. I did a s

Hi Lemoned If its any comfort, I have experienced exactly the same thing as you just described. I usually get the 'warning' music first. I dont actually feel that it is off topic, as these experiences became stronger and more frequent for me once i ate a Rv diet. I also felt the numbing in my limbs, especially on the left side of my body. Enjoy your travelling. Blessings Lorretta

Great thread Bryan At first i had great difficulty dealing with my abundant raw energy. I didnt sleep, became mentally exhausted and totally unbalanced. I appeared to be OK on high raw, but once i ate totally raw the energy rush just became too much for me to handle. I experimented with lots of different raw foods, then added some steamed and baked veggies in an effort to slow things d

To aid clearance of the mucus already present, maybe cranial sacral osteopathy as its so gentle and is very effective. My daughter had similar symptoms plus ear congestion and like you, I did not wish to dose her up with antibiotics. I found the cranial work amazing, it also improved her sleeping pattern. I followed it up with homeopathy which also helped a great deal. Lorretta

Hi Lemoned I have lived through similar experiences to those you mentioned. (OBE, plus visions, premonitions Etc) I had lots of difficulty dealing with it in my early teens, which took me on a number of spiritual paths. I did lots of work on it, came to a place where i felt comfortable enough to understand and work with it. I have been eating raw vegan now on and off for over three years.

Anyone purchased a Benriner spiralizer? Anyone offer some feedback on this model? There appears to be a horizontal (commercial model) and a vertical (domestic model) available. I have a saladaco. Its ideal for small quantities. Im just looking for something that can process larger items like whole cabbage. Thanks
