Before i invested in a vitamix I found the magic bullet invaluable. It processed the greens added to a smoothie better than at least 4 well known brand 750/800w blenders that i tried out. I have however burnt the motors out in 3 bullets over the last three years (green smoothie making). It was my fault, i just let the motor run too long! If you process in short bursts, they work fine. I started with some raw gourmet, followed by the low sugar & fat wheatgrass/ sprouted seed approach. Then i discovered 80 10 10. Still work in progress, but it really suits me.

Several days have passed by now, still no craving for chocolate. Its amazing!!!!! i feel so much calmer and balanced. I'm very tired and sleeping lots. I'm waking up tired, even though i have had lots of sleep, so there are some huge changes going on as i normally have no problem getting out of bed and enjoying the day ahead. I'm not craving bitter foods but I'm making sure that i include

I think/ hope i have cracked it! I think it is the bitter taste of the chocolate that i am craving. I haven't craved it at all today, so i decided to try a little and spit it out. I just instantly knew it was the bitterness that i was looking for. Coco, If you are reading this, I did manage to spit it out! Without your input, i probably would not have plucked up the courage to put t

I have been high raw for three years. This is my fourth spell of totally raw. I have managed 2 x 6 months and a 3 month period on a totally raw diet. I have been totally raw again since August 1st. I have been doing very well. I had a couple of difficult detoxes at the beginning, but everything has been fine until about a week ago when the DREADED CHOCOLATE CRAVING returned. Its a s

yes regularly. I have monoeaten apples pineapples and bananas for days. I have recently been eating one type of fruit during the day, then eating a large green salad in the evening. small tip- make sure the fruit is ripe and that you have enough fruit ripening for future meals. It really is worth a little planning ahead. Enjoy L

Hello everyone. A good week so far. I have been eating pineapples for a few days now. I just don't want anything else. I had to freeze all my ripe fruit as i didnt want to waste it. I have also started oil pulling again. I tried it some time ago, but could not bear the taste or feeling of the oil in my mouth for 20 mins. I have definitely seen an improvement in my teeth since i reintroduc

Hi Mislu I have experienced insomnia on a totally raw diet, lots of energy, yet mentally exhausted. It usually settles down within two weeks. If you are eating onions, garlic, chilli, ginger, pepper etc it may well be worth removing them from your diet. See if it makes any difference. Also think about increasing the amount of exercise you do, perhaps 3 or 4 times a day. These simple st

Shazzie does look good. She is beautiful. She has inspired many. She also appears to be very 'speedy' and ungrounded. Unfortunately this does not do her any favours as regards being taken seriously. All that said, I dont think she really cares what people think of her. She is doing her own thing and appears to be happy, good luck to her!

pakd4fun holding you in my thoughts, hope you are ok. Khale good to hear that you feel refreshed. I hear what your saying. Having fun playing with 'monkey mind'! I think my chosen phrase is, I choose wellness. I walked my dog after writing my earlier post. I felt so good. It really did help to write my feelings down. It helped focus mm thoughts. Hi everyone Back on course today. The sun is shining and I'm going to take my dog for a walk now. I think i have been struggling so much this time because i have found myself in a place where i don't want to go backwards (cooked and ill health) and am not really comfortable with the level of raw i have set for myself! I suppose its all about balance. If I eat cooked grains or dairy then

Hi Ive had a few days away from home. I ate some cooked spicy veggies and rice at the weekend. Felt very dehydrated and bloated the next day. i have eaten a little cooked every evening since. Today I plan to stop the cooked again. Although i love the green smoothies and it takes the pressure out of thinking about what to eat, im probably being a little restrictive so i have decided to return

Hi Everyone Khale pleased that writing out your post helped. Still on the green smoothies and a few nuts. I also had a few bananas and nectarines today as i think i felt hungry. Today has been a strange day. I have found myself looking in the fridge and cupboards a lot, just looking for something, but i dont know what. It cant be hunger, as i can actually walk away without choosing anyth

Hi All Khale, 'bump in the road'? Yep scale it girl! When i was going through that initial detox, I considered not posting how i felt as i did not wish to discourage others/ put a negative spin on the thread or feel like sharing the misery of it all. As i mentioned previously it was hard to think clearly when in so much pain. Im pleased that i did document what was honestly happening,

Hi Everyone Khale Im so pleased to see your post and read that you are feeling stronger. I have pretty much stuck to the smoothies apart from a little cooked curry and rice on saturday night. ( Family takeaway) I thought i would love it, but although it smelt wonderful it actually tasted very oily and the rice felt slimy, so i didnt eat much (thankfully) I also ate a few hand fulls

Sun cloud, I will miss your posts Its 30 days since i set my goal to be all raw. Until i hit severe detox i managed to stick to it. I added in a few steamed veggies to my evening meal over four or five days of the severe detox period. Yesterday i had a totally raw day again. I am very pleased with the way things are going. After having a day on green smoothies yesterday, I have decided to
