I love the MC. I've done 3 long ones.. 35-45 days each and 2 short ones. You have to do the SWF though... If you start getting headaches or cravings it's because you're not getting rid of the waste/toxins. I have no problem with the maple syrup not being raw.. Hey if it wasn't for the mc and maple, I wouldn't have even gotten to raw. The fast makes it really easy to eat healthy afterwards

Only you can really decide which is more important to you and which you will get more use out of.. What do you want? Smoothies or chopped food? Get something good like The Total Blender and it chops things anyway...

Hi Petals, I have 3 cats that are going to be 8yrs old and two 1yrolds. I've been feeding raw for about 4-5 years now so it's going great. Only one cat was a problem in the beginning with being picky and hating change. The 2 kittens were the easiest and went crazy with their first raw meat and they're not picky. "No Grinding Bones" is the only thing I'm not completely comfortable

The GreenStar is the most popular and what most use on here. However, it's a pain to clean and can take like a half hour to clean. 2life.com has the best prices.

I don't think you can really compare the 2. I like them both for different reasons. With juicing, you get a "rush" with them and can feel your body absorbing all the nutrients, it's like having an IV in you and feeling the cold fluids in your veins. Plus you can get some really nutritious combos that don't taste too bad or is at least easy to get down. The same combo might taste disgust

I was just wondering what kind of fast you were doing? And if you've ever done a longer one? Just wondering because for me personally, I have the best results with fasts over 35 days. My taste buds seem to change with each fast. I recently did my longest fast at 45 days and for the first time ever "SAD" food, even pizza does nothing for me. I took a sip of milk because I wanted to se

I'd delete this thread if I could. I ended that fast already. The charlie horses in my legs could be potassium, but I know from past experience and lots of blood tests numbness and tingling in my fingers/feet and my hands getting clamped and tight are calcium. And yeah, I was doing veggie juices. And yeah, I'm fine now. Had no problems whatsoever breaking which was odd. I didn't even follow t

I get it too. I think it's a Candida thing. Easy fix - Sit with your ear facing a heater. It melts it and it comes out easily. lol If you can go to an ear doctor they have a thing that sucks it right up. I went a few years ago and they sucked out a good sized nasty clump of wax. There's also something called "Ear Candeling" that can get rid of it. I forgot what it is, just Goo

Yeah, they were completely green when I bought them. And yeah, they're in a window because I noticed with direct sunlight on them they got yellow faster. But now they're like..multi colored. Oops. Ugh I can't win. I'm going to buy a pet monkey and teach it to fetch bananas and bring them home.

A couple weeks ago I soaked some wheatberries and rinsed and drained a few times for a few days. They wern't doing anything and I got annoyed and forgot about them. Just looked in the container today and they have like 1/2 inch sprout coming out of them. They're kind of dry though. I'm guessing they're useless now anyway. So guess I did it right? What was I supposed to do next? Normal to s

I know they should be freckled/spotted and covered in them but what about when there are black blotchy spots on it? My bananas are pissing me off again. They were turning yellow and getting spotted, now one side is half brown and the other still has some green. Should I be eating them like that or what?

Just Natural Zing and Raw Guru. I want to order from Raw Bakery. They have the best shipping rates and they sell raw grains/seeds cheaper than the others. Not completley raw..Mostly coconut oil and health stuff but I like this site too..

I don't think the acid in the lemons are good for the teeth.. I think in the original Master Cleanse/Lemonade Diet book they even recommend rinsing your mouth with water after the lemonade. I heard somewhere else that the acid sucks out minerals out somehow..not sure how true that is. Mixing it with other stuff dilutes it anyway so it can't be that bad. For me they'd get a yellow tinge to the

I have a 3+yrold gerbl. Over the weekend she got kind of lifeless and dehydrated, I'm not sure yet what caused it..I thought she was just dying from the tumors she has. I first fed her some maple syrup mixed with water to get some fluids and sugar into her. There wasn't much improvement. Next I tried coconut oil and that gave her some energy. It was solid and I got a few tiny specs in her mouth

You don't need a $400 blender to blend fruit and other basic smoothies. I spent my money on a juicer and am still using a regular Hamilton Beach blender I got from the department store for around $45. It has an "ice crusher" which is probably why it's good at grinding nuts/seeds into powder. Sure it's not as powerful as the expensive ones like "The Total Blender" but it works

Fasting usually means NOT eating anything, just drinking juices. The basic theory is that by shutting the digestive system down, your body spends all that energy on "healing" and "cleansing". This is a great site with lots of info - I like The Master Cleanse or "Lemonade Diet" just because it's easy and you don't have to wash vegetables and clean a juicer eve

No, gas isn't normal. Just because it seems normal for her and she otherwise seems fine doesn't mean normal. Gas can be from lack of enzymes or a digestive imbalance. Either of what you're feeding could be doing it, feed chicken everyday and eventually the fat/skin can do it and eggs are also a common cause of gas. Variety is important and you're lacking there. Is that really all you are feedi

How do you know if dried fruit is "raw" or even healthy anyway? I don't eat them.. I was looking at "raw" dried, organic fruits today to mix in my gerbil food. They're so hard to feed a natural diet because they wouldn't be eating broccoli and greenbeans everyday in the desert.:/

I use Oxypowder www.oxypowder.com. Both are good products. I researched them for a while before deciding to try it. Curezone.com has a good colon/bowel cleanse forum. Basically the main difference is Oxypowder liquifies everything so you pass mush, it's quick and no straining. Colonix is high in fiber so bulks it up. Colonix isn't good for people who are prone to constipation from fiber products
