QuoteHoping since I'm new it's ok for me to jump in and share Of course! QuoteFor breakfast, I typically like (soaked overnight and drained) oat groats with oatgurt (fermented oat groats) and fresh oj Fresh batch of "oatgurt" It's always good to hear of people fermenting their grains. How do you make the oatgurt?

QuoteHere's an interesting abstract on phytic acid: Note the high phosphorus content of phytic acid, as described in the abstract. Phosphorus is the P in ATP, which is the main active source of energy storage in the human body. Suncloud, phytic acid is very high in phosphorous, however the phosphorous is bound up very tightly and near-impossible for us to utilize. Plants with phytic ac

QuoteDoes anyone take a trace minerals supplement? Is it necessary? If you feel the need for a trace mineral supplement, add it to the water you soak and water your sprouts with. It will be much more beneficial that way. Quotewhat other route can I go to get trace minerals? Seaweed, algae, grass juice, microgreen juice, sprout juice, weed juice, and sprouted fermented seeds like sesame,

QuoteWhy, just the quoted part. Haha. Perhaps you can understand my confusion, as that would imply you have gone through a period of sprouting + fermenting your seeds and nuts while drinking large quantities of fresh green sprout juices, including but not limited to fenugreek sprout juice *cheeky grin* You gave me another good laugh with that reply haha

Gourmet raw is good for introducing new people to a raw vegan diet, but it is a travesty in my opinion because it leads to people eating improperly prepared unfresh foods in bad combinations.

QuoteI saw how a high fat raw diet can actually be debilitating when one might be suffering from a sluggish liver and gallbladder and a lingering viral infection. Maybe if the restaurant owners had perfected the vegan seed cheeses of Ann Wigmore, higher fat wouldn't have been so bad for them and their employees. Yes, large quantities of vegetable oils and soaked nuts are bad news. Nuts should n

Yes, I've seen that study. There is no doubt broccoli sprouts are a very very potent detoxifier. For detoxification get on the broccoli sprouts, get on the chlorella, get on the grasses and the fenugreek sprouts and the clover sprouts. And if you really want to do everything to the highest level, throw in the seaweeds and the fermented foods and do the grass juice enemas and implants and see how

QuoteTHe original query of this thread was to find other raw krishna devotees. I have a funny story to share. I have a friend who has struggled to be all raw for many, many years. His teeth didn't appreciate too much fruit and his energy didn't overflow with too much fat. He greatly admired a raw vegan family and claimed the wife and mother had an all raw vegan pregnancy. We once ate at a kri

Hahaha Panchito, I laughed long and hard at that one. When you live in the light you know no fear, as fear comes from darkness.

Quoteah, the insanity of nutritional "science". "eat the unripe ones for the "benefits" " We're in 100% agreement here. So what if the unripe ones have higher levels of one beneficial tannin??? They'll also have much higher levels of many more detrimental tannins and other antinutrients and lower levels of nutrients. Studies can by very misleading because of th

QuoteA few spices are pretty potent: just a teaspoon of fenugreek or mustard seeds has as much as a few tomatoes. This is extremely interesting, it means that fenugreek sprouts *might* have high levels of melatonin in them...this could account for some of their impressive benefits. Of course we can't draw any conclusions from this, but it is certainly something to look into. Benefits of Mel

This morning it was below freezing out (30 degrees) but that didn't phase me, I just sat down in the frost and sunbathed. The one concession I made was to wear pants instead of shorts lol, but once again I barely felt the cold...it felt like it was 50 or 60 degrees to me. I could see my breath but I could have easily sat out there for 2 hours without becoming cold. There is something very very

QuoteUV damage (radiation) is hard to undo and messes up the DNA. Actually we have many enzymes and mechanisms that exist solely to repair damage to the DNA. The trick is to to get proper nutrition and eliminate toxicity so they all work properly. Interestingly, it appears that vitamin D may play a vital role in various DNA repair mechanisms. Coincidence? I think not

I used to get sunburned when I was out in the sun for a long time when I was SAD, but now I never seem to get sunburned no matter how long I stay in the sun or how strong it is. Very interesting, because this tells me it isn't genetic or because of my skin tone etc.

QuoteYou may want to get a UV meter. They are cheap. Thanks for the suggestion, however UV light doesn't bother me at all. The dangers of the sun are vastly overhyped and if your diet provides sufficient antioxidants and healing compounds then UV damage isn't a concern (unless you overdo it and get burned). Like any powerful healing tool you will want to work up to large amounts of sunbathing g

The sun did come back out, so I got in another 45 minutes of sunbathing today. And to top it off, I came across a beautiful patch of dandelions on my way back....free lunch! -------- When I go there and sunbathe all sorts of animals will approach me, I will have birds coming within arms reach to check me out and at various times I have had deer and even a fox come up to me and say hi. QuoteDo you do sunbathing on cold weather? Oh yes! I try to do at least half an hour everyday that the sun is out. Yesterday I did an hour of sunbathing, and I did nearly half an hour today despite it being very cloudy. Even though I didn't get much sun I still got the benefits of being out in nature, breathing fresh air and touching the Earth with my bare skin (I go to a grassy area in a near

Incidentally, I am very doubtful that fermented foods contribute to parasitic infection. The overwhelming consensus and common sense is that they are one of the most powerful tools against parasites. Fix the cause, not the symptom. Most people will think the symptoms are their poor health, and the cause is the parasites. But you need to go even deeper than that. How I see it is the parasites a

If you take all of that advice to heart you will never

Global Frugivorism and global Sproutarianism are both hogwash Why did I say the tipping point won't happen, and why did I say we won't be seeing any global food forests anytime soon either? This brings up two other very important points I plan to discuss shortly: 1. Why John's "tipping point" and NuNative's global food forests are not feasible on this planet at this current time. 2. QuoteThe Sproutarian's post My take on it: Humans are not hard wired to eat any specific diet because we all have different requirements depending on the development of the soul. Some will thrive as meat eaters but be unable to sustain a raw vegan diet, others will be able to live on little to nothing. Some humans have the ability to live off the cosmic vibrations, but most will not have tha
