Some of them are very pretty to look at. I think that some of them feel improved on a spiritual level. But no it will not make anyone a career physicist or mathematician at the top of the field. To do that one has to be weaned from an early age, put in a special school or have special training, be competing with people on the same level or slightly higher from an early age--those things de

There are a lot of cooked food vegans who are addicted to their cooked food. So I do not think this is a matter of meat/dairy only. But considering people who have spent their entire lives eating only garbage including copious amounts of animal foods. These people generally are not motivated enough to overcome their addictions unless it is a matter of life and death. Their GI tracts are ac

I think he is going with what he knows. He deals with very sick people. Extreme restriction is what saves their lives. There are times when the difference will be life or death. But maybe his advice is not appropriate for all people. If you are not sick or mildly sick you have more leeway. Yes, he assumes that people on raw vegan diets are overdoing it on fat and juice (or blendi

He's worried about nitric oxide production, which we need to keep our endothelial function at peak and prevent heart disease. When you don't chew your greens, your saliva can't do its magic and make it. So you won't be getting the full benefit from the greens. He makes a good case here: And here is what he has to say about raw food diets: He doesn't think they are helpful if th

If I was to eat things whole, I feel I would replace a decent amount of my greens intake with fruit. Would this be bad for health? This is why I concentrate on salads. I try to get a lot of greens in, a pound of romaine plus 1/2 to 3/4 pound of other greens. If eating a smoothie is the only way you can get more greens in then that is probably a very good choice for you. John Kohler

NHANES 2009-2010 shows that most people are getting no more than 13% of their calories from f+v and most of that is french fries and processed juice. Have you seen the veg source videos on our obesity "experts"? Most of them are obese. Our Surgeon General is obese. I can't stop watching this video: 40% of Americans will develop type II diabetes in their lifetimes. Not

LaV, if the final pH is 4.0 it is essentially gone. Since pH scale represents powers of 10, the difference between lye (pH 13) and the finished olive (pH4) is that 0.000000001 as alkaline as pure lye Anyway I found them at my local independent grocer. They taste very FRESH! I never had an olive taste so fresh. Fruity. Not briny at all, and screamingly green.

It makes sense to me what he says. But rather than saying smoothies are bad, do not eat them, it should be put in a relative context. best-salads and whole fruit with fiber intact not as good-smoothies worst-juice and oil, much of the goodness is removed and too much fat and sugar get dumped too quickly. Eat a whole-foods plant diet for maximum benefits. Of course fresh plant smoot

I don't think it's an indictment against veggies. The subjects were not eating as many veggies as fruits and there were smaller percentages of people with high intakes of veggies compared to fruits in the study. So they probably didn't have enough data to see any significant trends with the veggies. Here is what they said about not finding associations with NEAP: Our separate analysis did n

If you spent a long time working on a product, such as systemic enzymes in Lou Corona's case, I'm sure you would enjoy being able to support yourself from the work you put in. And I am sure that if your "degree" had given you a rigorous scientific background you would be skeptical of such claims. HCL secreted by the stomach breaks down proteins into amino acids.
