Some people might experience a clearance of psoriasis by decreasing arachadonic acid production. This can be accomplished by increasing omega3 intake while decreasing omeg6 intake. On a raw diet many people still have too much omega6 and not enough omega3 so raw by itself will not always work: one still has to choose (concentrated fat sources) wisely. Sometimes psoriasis is a cutaneous manifes

One of the most blissful things I have experienced is a greatly diminished drive. On the rare occasion when I encounter somebody who seems even remotely attractive, I can easily brush off the feelings if they seem inappropriate in any way. When I was younger this was not so and I was miserable most of the time.

morning: salad, lately greenleaf lettuce + radicchio + arugula + alfalfa sprouts + tomato + green bell pepper + shredded broccoli + onion + beans + scallion + walnut + tiny bit of olive oil day and evening: fruit + nuts/seeds. I used to make fruit salads but now I just eat apples, grapes, peaches, etc. throughout the day with a brazil nut or two and a tbsp or two of flax ground. I still do

Spices are different from coconut oil: they can offer significant protection with minimal calories. No, you can't live on spices alone but they can be a part of a healthy diet. When somebody isolates and markets the protective phytochemicals present in unrefined coconut oil the result will not be significantly different from spices.

> Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil helps loss bodyfat. Do you have a reputable source to confirm this? What clinical trials have shown this? Have repeatability been demonstrated? 28 g of it has 244 kcals and no minerals, no vitamins except for very small traces of E (nothing to contribute in a meaningful way to your E status), no essential amino acids, and only a very slight trace of 18:2 es

I'd rather take a b12 pill than eat an insect. I can't imagine why anyone would prefer to eat insects, or any animal, for that matter. I thought this was a vegan forum. Why all these animal-eating people and posts?

Use the nutrient search tool at and search on the vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds highest in iron and eat a lot of those. One caveat is that the goosefoot family members (spinach, chard, purslane, beet greens) are high in iron but the iron is bound up by oxalic acids and so will not be very available. Lettuces and cruciferous leaves will have lots of available iron per kcal but you have

I don't understand why some people would rather eat eggs than take a methylcobalamin supplement once a week. I thought this was a vegan forum. I should say, I guess I would not have a strong objection to egg eating if I took care of the chicken myself and treated her like a princess. But that is usually not the case for egg eaters.

You don't need to add any animal products but you would do well to pay attention to your fat sources. See this: and this: If I were pregnant or lactating the only thing I'd do differently would be to add a 200 mg per day algae-based DHA supplement, just to be on the safe side. I already supplement for B12 and D2. I also take cooked beans but that's not necessary and will not

A lot depends on your size and the rest of your diet, the acid/alkaline conditions, the other minerals you take in, and so forth. 1000 mg per day is on the safe side for most people, but a tiny person getting lots of weight bearing exercise on a high vegetable diet such as an Okinawan elder will probably be ok with an intake in the low 400s. It's probably safer for most people to aim higher th

Eat some cooked beans and take a b12 tablet once a week. I haven't had any problems but I am really scrupulous about meeting my daily values for all vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, and aminos. There are lots of online calculators for this and it's easy to do now, no excuses! I would not be comfortable with eggs and dairy unless I was the personally caretaker for the cow or chicken and providi

Vitamin pills have minimal calories so they probably aren't a factor. If you haven't lost weight you are either retaining water (is your sodium intake too high?) or your intakes are not less than your expenditures. It isn't necessary to weigh portions and count calories to be certain you've intakes have stayed below your expenditures. If you are currently maintaining, a very simple thing you c

It would be a lot easier to do if one used a dehydrator. Fully dehydrated veggies can be reduced to 1/5 of their original size so that amounts to eat are more manageable. One could make vegetable patties with a number of grated root vegetables. These are some of the more energy-dense vegetables that can be eaten raw to diminish reliance on sweet fruits and fatty foods" sweet potato co

I don't understand why magnesium is a problem for you. It is one of the easier requirements to meet on a raw diet. How do you know that your diet is deficient? If you are taking in around 2000 calories and eating a wide variety of fruits, nonleafy and leafy vegetables, nuts, and seeds, you should not have any problem getting more than plenty magnesium. It's easy to get enough magnesium even with

It isn't perfect if you're missing anything. You can use the tools at to see if you are missing any essential fats, amino acids, vitamins, or minerals. The trouble spots are B12 (supplement), D2 (supplement, although mushrooms make it when they are exposed to UV), omega3 fatty acid, alpha linolenic, (flax, hemp, walnuts, certain fruits and vegetables), omega6 fatty acid, linoleic,

I can't understand how a depressive person would feel compelled to eat a chicken or an egg. It depresses me immensely to think about how those poor chickens are treated, tortured, and killed and those things are not food to me. But if you can learn something from your trangression and it helps to keep you from repeating it, that's a good thing. I wouldn't beat myself up over the rest of it.

I can't understand why anyone would rather kill and consume a sentient being rather than take a pill once a week. Even if it weren't for the killing of a sentient being, we are killing the oceans, not only polluting them, but also overfishing, and it isn't right for all of us to feel that we can take what we please from them when they are in such a precarious state. You can get this: Cut

I agree with the flax suggestion also. Many people who don't see a change in their skin with usual tweaks in the diet do see a difference when they take in adequate amounts of clean essential fats in the right proportions. This basically means no more junk food, no more processed or refined oils, no more trans fats, but adding flax is a big step because it means you might, for the first time in y

Rice protein powder has the same amino acid profile as regular rice. It is somewhat (but not completely) deficient in lysine. Many other plant foods are also somewhat deficient in lysine. You might have a lysine deficiency. You can take a lysine supplement and it might solve your problem. Or you could examine the vegetables highest in lysine and add more of them (a lot more, since they tend to
