As you go backwards into history you'll find that the human body could have handled cooked foods much better than it does now. They didn't have the health problems from cooked foods the way we have presently(and that's because of a number of factors). So they wrote what they knew.

See your local library. If they don't have it, ask them to order it. When they get it they'll e-mail or phone you. Usually it takes a couple of weeks.
Sometimes it's at a nearby district library and you can go there and pick it up.You can use that for the time being until you buy a used(or new) one. You can renew it too online and keep it longer than the original time.

Learning raw, you are right. I just saw a video where he claims he has practically gone on a diet of water, sunshine and air.
Paulie, I don't know about him lying, but I did read his posts on a vegan site where he said he was back to eating cooked foods(2005/2006).
I think, though, that after a little while he went back fully raw.

I am experiencing some of the same things Kit is going through. We had a huge layoff in Nov '08 and another one in Jan '09. Luckily I missed both. However, we are made to do jobs that are nowhere near what we were employed for.

Rawrnr, I see you teach in Brampton. I have a sister living there. I don't know how far away from her home is North Peel school though. She works at Scotia Bank, which sponsored the Half and Full Marathons(what I read from your link). I'll have to ask next time I speak to her about North Peel school, and the marathons.

here's the formula:
1/ original total amount of laundry detergent in ounces divided by original amount per laundry load in ounces.
That will give you original amount of loads.
(for instance, if your original total amount of laundry detergent when you were finished making it was 20oz, and your original amount per load was 2oz, then 20/2 gives you 10 loads.)
