It would be more effective to take a seaweed such as kelp nori or dulse or one of the others for iodine,as seaveg has high iodine content,as it is natural rather than a supplement,

Interesting link on B12, I get the feeling, that it is true, despite all the evidence of B 12 deficiencies. I feel there less known about B 12 than known about it.

Great thread, I sometimes feel nervous about posting what I want too on some topics partlicularly my support of fruitarianism, or low fat raw vegan as the way too go. I really admire those that are following this and have been succesful with it and have spoken out because I feel mislead in the past too. There is so much contradictory info and most of it is negative against a natural raw

Yes I agree, best get you gut functioning right, and your gut will make b 12 but for those who have deficienc,y or are in transition, or in doubt go for highest quality supplement, b 12 cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin and hydroxocobalmin are all synthetic, the nano b is naturally produced.

Algaes or sea weeds aren't effective forms of b 12 as they contain analogues which block the absorption of natural b 12 and actually contribute to deficiencies. Nori has been found to have small amount of active B12 From what I understand B 12 is synthetic and then they often add exipients and flowing agents such as magesium stearate which destroys t cells (primary immune function. I ha

>>Every person who I have met who had orthorexic or anorexic tendencies who got to the point of starvation had a spiritual malady, and when they were at the dangerous low weight, they didn't want to live or they thought they didn't deserve to live. The only way a person can turn this around is to become aware of the unconscious desire to die and to make a conscious decision to live.>>

>There isn't a single civilization that is/was vegan or even vegetarian. I know of lots, David Wolfe also encountered a vegan maori. It is a myth they do not exist. The link below shows a 5000 year vegan tribe in the himalayas, if it were true about the deficiencies, they would have died out long ago, and yet many are still active at 90. I don't care what people choose to eat but get

Thanks for posts, I think everyone agrees we have evolved to eat animal products. No one is saying that, that is misinterpretation. I have been aware of this info for a long time on primates and it is something that has interested me and wanted to know a little more about. Although I'm sure there are others that know far more on them. I posted a link by david jubb a physiologist, extremely e

A link below details what our natural diet is and it isn't designed to digest meat as we do not have enough acid as other meat eaters do. Also listen to Dr David Jubb on what we are designed to eat, he is a physiologist and blood specialist and microscopist studying human cells. He believes we are designed to be frugivore His studies and observations show animal products to be not goo

Thanks for info on bonobo, the info I saw on a wild life documentary a few years ago that studied them for a year or so this particular group of bonobos was not seen to kill during this particular research study and it was presumed at the time they did not whereas it was well known that chimps ocassionally did. Oh well it seems they may do then as well However Primates do not need meat to

Not all primates eat small mammals and eggs, the chimps are known for killing monkeys occasionally when they stray into territory looking for food. They only do it a couple of times a year. It is not essential to their diet\however. Bonoboes similar to chimps do not kill other animals and eat them and are non aggressive. A study I heard of in Tony Wright's book stated that we are actually m

Wow Debbie, sorry about your experience, I don'tknow any raw companies in the UK, was it in the UK, that sell muesli with roasted hemp etc but sounds really irritating. It sounds fraudulent if they are claiming to be raw without understanding even basics. hugs

Great Posts and thread. I follow veganism as far as I can, for so many reasons, animal cruelty and waste of resources etc, The rain forest is being destroyed to grow soya for cattle food, and it takes 10 pounds some say 16 pounds of grain protein to make 1 pound of animal protein. 50% of grain grown is fed to cattle. It just seems to me the better direction to go in as far as one can

You can get vitamin d3 in this supplement from the yeast saccharomyces cerivisiae. . Itis at least all plant/food based and cold processed, I think you can also get the vit d seperately. Sunlight is the most efficient source though!

Human's can eat whatever they choose to eat. veganism is a choice as any other, I it is not a modern fad as some believe. The fact that human beings are natural frugivores by design because humans do not synthetise vitamin c but they do synthetise vitamin d and I feel this is a clue to our original origins. Also one of the arguments often used is that we originally were hunter gatherers an

I love your posts Frutarian one, they keep me sane. Most of my food is blended and has been for the last 2 years,I guess that is not quite liguidarian as it does have some fibre, and I do still consume some food in form of fat. I don't even want to tell people in case they make the sort of remarks you sometimes get, I'm too easily influenced on an energetic level by what others say not only to
