Actually coco...it was my boo boo, lol

banana had quoted kidraw's post & the emoticon didn't display...

I mistakenly thought that banana was trying to use the emoticon, but I don't believe she was...

Of course, I didn't realize all this until after I had made the post & couldn't edit it, lol...

Can you follow all that, or did I just add more to the confusion?!

Better buy a gas mask if you live on the left coast --

oh @#$%&... a gas mask would not do anything against that, not a normal one, there are special, very expensive ones, that protect against that sort of stuff... Kidraw, when you post scary @#$%& like this, could you at least post something with it, like "this is how it COULD be if the place explodes" or "its exploded and this is what is currently happening, here is a link to some official sites and their recommendations"

Ditto. This is scary enough without going so far overboard. I have family and friends along the coast, I don't need to see this crap if it isn't even happening. Geez.

I spent every summer from when i was around 6-7 till I was 15 hanging out with him when he would come to stay with his grandparents who lived 2 hops (over two tall fences) away from our backyard... I learned my sense of adventure from him...I use to just kinda sit around in my front or back yard, or inside watching tv, me and him, when we got a lil older (starting aruond 8 or so) he led me on adventures...searching for pirate gold on the beaches, climbing giant mountains (cliffs at the beach...crazy dangerous, lol) traveling through dark jungles in search of various things, often treasure...lol... im still kind of in shock, I just found out it was him minutes ago...I really hate the month of march.

I just heard on the radio that some "experts" are saying that this quake has shifted the Earth on its axis...I thought everything looked like it was leaning at my house...lol

Seriously thought, the earth shifting on its axis...now that's a scary thought. I don't know if it is speculation or not - will have to wait for more news stories to surface on it.

I saw that too, 4 inches. What will it take to make people sit up and take notice of what we are doing to this planet? I highly suspect all our drilling and sucking out the planet's blood (oil) and digging out her bones (minerals) contributes to this sort of disaster. I won't even mention messing with the weather, cloud seeding, HAARP etc.

(((hugs))) to you Curator. There are an estimated 10,000 dead in a single town in Japan. How crazy that the ONE person to lose their life outside of that country is your friend. That is very sad.

First of all, sorry about the loss of that man you knew...It's amazing how small a world it is and he just happens to be the only American victim so far. It must be kind of freaky to you, in addition to the sadness of having known him. Here's a story I just saw regarding the fallout from the nuclear issues:

Gee, I thought it would be of interest, because some people are worried about the radiation getting over here.

Maybe I should run my posts by you and Curator for your approval before I post them to save you the trouble of insulting me.

Maybe you could check things out first and see if there is a credible source for scary info like that before frightening all of us with it. It's not too much to ask that people post things that are actually true and not just fictional worst case scenarios is it?

it was of interest! I just asked you to post a link to the information rathER THAN JUST a scary photo with no other info! ya know, like banana who just did, stop being so emo just cause I asked you for more info than a picture with no real explanation or info behind it... I never insulted you, I asked for more info, but if you are going to act like this, I just might start now because your whiny pissy attitude for no damn reason other than I asked for a link to the info is annoying me, you are acting like a kid.

Sorry for wanting more than a scary photo,Like a comment, or a reference, or something more with a post, if you cant understand why anyone would want that little tiny bit of extra info, which would have taken you less than 5 seconds to give, then I will be quite happy if you stay out of my threads then, or at least the ones that are about important things.

You've probably noticed that I always post links to articles that I refer to, but there wasn't any here - just the photo. I believe I got it off Twitter. It was just very shocking to be vilified for posting a chart that would be of interest to us if we're worried about our health from the fallout from the nuclear explosion. I had been asking my husband and intelligent friends if we would be experiencing any effects of the radiation, and I was happy to run across the chart, and thought I would post it, so I was shocked at the way I was treated.

coco,

So the radiation spread-a-gogo map isn't just not the worst case scenario map from Australian Radiation Services, it's not from Australian Radiation Services at all--it's a fraud?! Oh my goodness, laughing so hard, I no longer feel frightened! I needed a good laugh--thanks!

KidRaw, this is why it is so important to do your due diligence in assessing the source for the scary information, see? I know you, like us, do not want to be scared about things that aren't real. That's all Curator was getting at: verify, please.
