Hi Rawrr! Yes she can eat seeds thankfully, mainly wondering if nut allergy would decline along with asthma if one goes raw. My suspicion is, of course it will, but wanted to know if anyone had experienced it happening... Thanks, Anna

Would appreciate experiences for friend with asthmatic, nut allergic vegetarian child. When would one take the chance of exposing yourself to nuts again, if indeed ever? Any nut allergic rawers out there? Thanks in advance! Anna

Hi, Try either: Juliano's Spicy fruit soup. The choc brownies on the recipe forum, but add a few drops of water to the base or it will be too crumbly. Or sushi is SOOOoo easy and always wins people over: Untoasted Nori sheets from a health store, stuff with alfalfa, avocado slices, sliced sweet pepper or carrot ot cucumber... what ever you have. They take MINUTES to make. Take some was

Hi Luciano, I am glad to hear that you have so many families transitioning to raw. Another thought:- Do your families make raw tomato/marinara sauce? Kate Wood author of EAT SMART EAT RAW says her children happily eat the raw sauce on spelt or kamut spaghetti. And the adults can make the noodles/pasta from courgettes. Do you have the spiralizer / spiral cutter / saladdacco in Italy? For

Hi 75%Guy, I think it may have been on this forum that I read about 'oil pulling' It is supposed to be great for receding gum, making the teeth firm. After tyring it, my guess is that the action is fantastic exercise for the jaw, even more than chewing. The first time I tried it my cheeks were aching and red! So blood comes to the area, allowing healing and repair to take pl

Hi, When i was a cooked Vegetarian - dairy, brown rice, white sugar and alcohol consumer, I desperately needed 12- 13 hours sleep. At High raw, except for the odd bit of tamari, braggs or macadamias, I sleep average 6 hours, but feel better with 7 hours, which is adequate for me. As a cooked person my sleep was restless and disrupted. Now my sleep is blissful. Anna

Just another thought Luciano, have you read EATING WITHOUT HEATING by Sergei and Valya Boutenko? Victoria transitioned her children overnight when they were about 8 years old and they wrote this child friendly book of recipes when they were teenagers. Victoria Boutenko has a book, 'RAW family' about how she transformed her family's health. gardendiet also have an ebook on raising raw children

Hi, I make energy balls/fudge balls, whatever you like to call them; ground dates, apricots, goji, figs, almonds, seeds, whatever is to hand. Then flavour them with either raw choc, carob, vanilla or spices to make them christmassy like; ginger, cinnamon, mixed spice etc. Freezing them gives a chewier texture. As mentioned in earlier post the brownies in the recipe section never fail to delig

Hi Luciano, Well done for your good work! Whilst I am raw, my children refuse to be raw, (too much pasta and pizza when they were younger). I find these steps work: Vegetable soup; gradually cook the soup less and less. By the time it is blended they don't know it is semi/mainly raw. Or 1/2 cooked soup and 1/2 blended raw veg. Dhal; stir in sliced fresh raw spinach and grated carrot a

I have a wooden back stretcher as above. I used to have chronic back problems. On the very rare occasion that I get a twinge now, 10minutes on this and I am as right as rain, saved me a fortune in osteopathy over the years. A rapid back strengthening tool is the wonderful Flexi-bar, quite expensive, but works pn the principle of deep vibration to the muscles. I don't get back problems since

Modern typical sun protections often contain nano molecules that are absorbed into the blood stream, surely these are carcinogens. This year we tried Yaoh's hemp sun creams. They were great, chemical free, no burnt kids, no sore eyes. My problem is I am ADDICTED to the sun and battling it, I am better able to control it as a rawer, but it still niggles away at me when the sun is shining and I ca

Wow, this is going to be a fascinating thread. 1> Have you thought of asking Jinjee of the garden diet re the childhood illness's. I believe in Chinese medicine that Chicken pox is the body ridding itself of toxins...Do less toxic children not have need of this? 2>When I went through detox I was aware when old viruses were being ejected. For a couple of years I had a virus in my foot,

As well as soy milk not being raw, it contains plant phytoestrogens and most soy, especially in the USA is GM. This article is enough to make any sceptic run for their nut milk maker. Almond milk is a wonderful, alkalizing and protein rich milk. If you eat cooked food such as soya products, they should always be from fermented soyand eaten in small quantities. Soya milk is not ferment

Purenkind said: "i keep dreaming about a raw food commnity where like-minded people can live together and grow their food in common gardens, raise their children, live simply and peacefully and just be good to one another.." Dear Purenkind, do you get the daily inspirations from the garden diet? Storm and Jinjee are talking about setting up 2 raw vegan communities in the States.

The kids are still cooked, we are working on this, but I figure that as they are exposed to the importance of living Raw Vegan foods, that it something they will embrace as they get older (wishful thinking?)
