Just a statistical question. Pls. give some details - perhaps something in this style (or maybe you can find a better way): Total (average) 8 pounds: 2 qt in blended greens and misc. veggies, 4 pounds in juicy fruits, 2 qt juices, etc. (I am just curious, since I always eat a lot (before raw - and the same after 11 months of raw - with my BMI kept into the "normal" limits).

I started a debate about this subject in this forum and I had as result the full spectrum of attitudes. This is the link: As you can see, I "survived" after a couple of debates, but I lost much of my desire of posting here. You understand that your question is vague and due to so many different parasites having their specific life cycle, you have to find as much info as you c

Even you did not have a full set of blood tests before you started your transition toward raw, you can be sure that your cholesterol level was higher than now. There is absolutely no logical reason to be disappointed, because you are still cleansing your system and your liver (and your system) is healing too. This process needs time. You made a great progress, you know this. You gotta kee

I don't eat much rice (and I avoid the white kind - for the above mentioned reasons), but when I do, I blend it with couple of the following ingredients: flax seeds, almonds, hemp seeds, nuts, etc + some water and I make a thick nutritious paste. This is one of the few circumstances when I mix things in blender and the main reason to blend them is that very little of those ingredients will be

Start your own thread, so we can "monitor" your progress. This way, other ppl. may benefit, observe or consider you as an + or - example. Start with a full set of (blood) tests - great for future references.

Maybe you should start asking yourself (and also let us know) how bad do you want to try. You have to find enough motivation to stop doing things YOU ALREADY KNOW that are not good for your health. Gradually, consistent. Can u do it? You got to prove to yourself that you can do more than finding excuses. Many individuals w. problems of this kind, are not really wiling to change th

Why don't you go first to a friend which owns one, see a demo, taste whatever you prepared with the processor - and then maybe decide if you are going to use it or not. (I seen so many ppls buying things and then never using them!) This way, you can eventually save money not buying something you will never use, OR going straight toward selecting the right kind/size/quality of tool which fits

Hi. There are circumstances when no blender will blend some of the flax seeds. I recommend the following steps: 1. Make sure that the container AND the lid are completely dry; (If are wet, some seeds will stick (to container AND his lid) so good - like glued, hard to remove even after blending. Some will eventually get lose during the blending or at the end of it - and here we are,

IMO, the Almond flour test (especially with such a large amonunt of almonds) is one of the harshest tests for a blender (the kiling one is if we put frozen veggies in container, sprinkle them w. water and let them freeze for couple of minutes and then try to blend them). I can tell that my Vitamix Vita-Prep 3 motor is screaming when I do the almond flour. It does works, but this is a task mean

Happy New Year to all! These holidays I ate/(will eat): about 2 pounds/day (each kind) - mangos and Bosc pears; 1/2 to 1 pound/day (each kind) - persimmons, apples, carrots, Roma tomatoes; 1 handfull each kind - hemp seeds + almonds (blended) w. some flax seeds; 2-3 tbsp of bee pollen/day; I also made a thick paste of cocoa (no sugar) as drink or instead chocolate. I drunk s

Do you drink your coffee black or with creamer? After a consumption of up to 2 liters of coffee/day + lots of creamer (the sweet and flavored kind) I switched to plain coffee (black), then I replaced with cocoa, making a thick paste like a drinkable chocolate - but with NO SUGAR at all. This chocolate was so bitter, I could only have a sip or two at a time - healthier too and very helpfull i

Certain web site mentioned that they are attaching small magnets to the container base (on the outer side) and that was supposed to have some + effects, but I never tried to do this and I don't know about the consequences or the impact of doing that. There is anyone using magnets this way or perhaps for water?

Hi. I own a Vita-Prep3 and I like the idea of using a smaller container (better size for 1 person -IMO), I have the tendency to add a little bit from everything, and I end up with 2 qt. of mixture - too much for one meal. I only like to consume immediately what I blend. Larger container leads to refrigeration and to a fast degradation of taste and quality of whatever was blended. Personal,
