What I have noticed with my own body--and I've heard others mention similar thoughts--is that after a while of eating wholesome non-processed meals, the body's internal thermostat is able to adjust quite efficiently even in cold weather. So even when the external temperature drops significantly it can be tolerated without the need for foods that promote & generate additional surface heat. No

I don't recall the source, but it has been said that if you consume the amount of calories you need via raw foods, then you'll also be getting sufficient amount of protein.

One silver lining in this situation is that we are reminded to be aware of the pros and cons of media interviews. If they have integrity, they will be unbiased and fairly show both sides of the subject. The other thing most people don't keep in mind is the editing factor. It is their show and even if they spend hours or days interviewing and following you around, in the end they are the ones

Maybe there are no 'dramatic' new stuff currently going on and the usual themes have grown stale. So creatures like Stossel in these instances likely dig up topics that may be known but are not mainstream and look for extreme cases and profile these as the norm. To protect people? No... For ratings? Judge for yourself.

QFP: I believe that Doug Graham has recipe books that follow his system which should follow the "rules" he uses. Also living nutrition came out with a book which pretty much does the same regarding food combining. Since you are already familiar with food combining principles, then based on these guidelines you could apply the principles to recipes you already have in your books or

I also like tabouli similar to the one posted above. In mine I also add chopped cucumber, and chopped walnuts. For variety, preparing it without dried herbs gives it a different, yet pleasant taste as well.

It may be uncomfortable for them to adjust to the new you, plus it will show them that change is in fact possible with a little effort. In case they too need to make changes, it will show them up as not having enough motivation to even try. Your making the effort and producing results could make them feel that they are running out of excuses to hide behind.

Some people who address their cleanup while outdoors use banana leaves straight from the tree, since these are soft and large as well. As a postscript to this subject I was speaking to a lady who grew up in the country without access to indoor facilities. She said there is actually a bug that would hang around where she would eliminate and as soon as she was done it would start to feast on

If there's one place to find 'creative' uses for irradiation services on a long term basis, food items would be a very good choice since barring a famine, eating will not be going out of style in a hurry. On rense.com there are links to several articles about this. Looking at some of the dates from one of the links, some aspects of food irradiation were approved back as early as the 60's:

On the question of whether organics were also to be irradiated, this is what I found in the first sentence of one of the articles covering it at Organic Consumer's Association website: FDA: Irradiating Spinach, Lettuce OK to Kill Germs By LAURAN NEERGAARD AP, via Google, August 21, 2008 Straight to the Source Web note: Irradiated ingredients and foods are prohibited by the USDA's

You could also make rice milk. The way I do it is rinse the rice then put it in my k-tec (you could use any high power blender) and strain it. Add flavoring* if you want to or use it as is. * such as vanilla, allspice, etc

Someone who used to post here years ago used pantyhose (brand new, of course) to strain the pulp. A traditional fine strainer should be able to do the job as well.

If before you embarked on eating mostly or all living & raw foods, someone who was convinced it was the best thing for all humanity tried to have you stop any and everything that didn't grow from the soil, wasn't pasteurized, non-gmo, without hormones, preservatives, etc and...deep down you weren't ready to change, would you be receptive? On the other hand, when you were in fact ready to a

It was good how call-in questions on cooked foods were addressed. Instead of jumping on the 'cooked food is poison' bandwagon, realistic practical answers were given. Also speaking about transition instead of going cold turkey was a good idea since the latter isn't easy for most people.
