Raw Carrots and beets and their juices are staining (especially beets). Probably some fruits too like mangos and blueberries. Maybe greens as well.

Hi Gosia, Yes, I have found the exact same thing. I find frozen durian to be very dehydrating. Have not tried fresh but my guess would be that the effect would not be too different, since the frozen durian has retained its water content. I have also found that in general, durian digestion is much more difficult than other fruits. Cheers.

Yogamama, do you have any Thai restaurants near where you live? If you do, a Thai person working there might be able to help you find durian locally, if it's available. Cheers.

I would NOT recommend bringing durian onto a plane. The odor is very strong and people on the plane and in the airport might jump to fear-based conclusions. Also, IIRC durian is banned in Singapore from being brought onto planes, subways, and maybe even into hotels. Because of the strong odor!

I actually know a rawish guy just like your description who lives in south Florida. Not kidding! We were friends when I used to live there. He doesn't live in Coral Gables though -- Broward County. O.J. Simpson is in Coral Gables though if you're really hard up.

deemel, can you give me an idea of a sample day of eating this way? Do you gravitate towards the more filling fruits? Thanks.

Hi deemel, That is very, very interesting, and makes me want to try it. The challenge for me is that I have used avocado every day for years as the main source of satiation in my raw diet. I find that it relaxes and grounds me. How do you achieve satiation and satisfaction without the overt fats? Thanks.

Hi, Do you think a diet consisting of fruits and green-leaf vegetables with lots of avocado, but with no nuts, seeds, oils, condiments or supplements, is a healthy long-term diet? Thanks!

Jicama is grown in south Florida IIRC. I like yams/sweet potatoes very thinly sliced as "chips" with guacamole.

< Carrots used to be tiny little things, but with selective breeding we made them big.> Same with avocados. Wild avocados are the size of olives.

You can try ordering from "Robert is Here" fruit stand, Homestead, Florida, if it's in season. You may like to know in advance that it's not a very sweet fruit, however the texture is like chocolate pudding.

My lips were very dry and cracking recently from the weather. I coated my lips with flax oil before bed and during the day between meals, and after a few days my lips have completely healed. Good luck!
