Ate a banana, a few peanuts (tasted bad so I threw them away), and green tea for a snack. Like clockwork, I get hungry for a snack at 4pm. 1 piece of fruit and tea usually tides me over until dinner. I'll eat that bag of carrots and celary that I brought to school for dinner. Will probably buy another banana before class, so I can eat that later if I am hungry. Probably won't go home unt

Well didn't exactly stick to the plan since some things came up. However, I am doing well raw-wise. So far this is my day: br: few bites of an apple, mango s: melon l: salad -- greens, tomatoes, capers, asparagus I swam a mile. For dinner I plan to have carrots and celary. Might have a piece of fruit if I get hungry.

This evening I swam a mile. Had a very stressful evening on a variety of levels and gave into my cravings when I came home -- had egg whites with sprouted wheat bread (my "healthy" comfort food) and some OJ. Also some chocolate. I know that finals are going to be tough, since this is the most stressful time in school. Immediately following finals, I will visit my family in Chicago

I am getting kind of frustrated with the fact that I haven't really lost any weight since I have been eating raw. I think it might have to do with eating too many raw fats -- nuts, olives, olive oil, etc. and eating at night. I'll try to cut back on these two things and see how it goes. I think I also cheat too much -- a piece of chocolate here, a soy chai there. I bet it adds up. Will also

Well, I was hungry and didn't make it over to the grocery store. So I ate a Kashi bar instead. Not great, not terrible. Overall food and exercise for the day is as follows: Food: noon salad with hummus 4pm kashi bar Starbucks Soy Chai 7pm salad from a fastfood place (i am pretty sure the dressing had sugar in it -- won't get dressing next time) Exercise: hour of spinning

Last night I went over to a friend's house for dinner. I ended up just making a big salad, and bringing it over there. I also had some of her salsa from Trader Joe's, which was delicious and raw. I am thinking of making salsa like that. I had 2 flax seed chips. They were good, as well. Didn't eat at night :-). Today I went to spinning at 10am then I had brunch with my roommates -- a

Weezo, I think that is an excellent point! Replace the eating behavior with a hobby. I have gotten into piano-playing instead of eating at night. Another trick is to be reading a good book -- rather than bee-lining it to the fridge, just pick up that book and start reading as soon as you go home. It is good to know that I am not the only one who is in a bad habit of eating at night. It has

thanks for your support! My food goals to continue are as follows: 1. no food after 9pm 2. not eat when I am not hungry (ask myself "am I really hungry or just eating because it is there"?) 3. eat 3 raw meals (fruit/almonds, big salad, big salad) and maybe one snack of fruit in the afternoon. 4. continue my exercise - try to do spinning and swimming a mile each day (or at l

Thanksgiving started off going well -- made a HUGE salad that everyone liked, and ate only that. Also had a few of my sister's sweet potatoes -- I figured they were okay because at least they were vegan. I decided to have a few bites of pie, which just led into a downward spiral. It was way better than prior years, but I definitely didn't stick to being raw. Not sure how I feel about it -- on

Went to spinning this evening -- I LOVE IT! I get so much happy energy from all of those endorphins. When I go spinning in the am I am usually too tired to push myself too hard, so evening spinning classes are definitely the way to go when I have time. Okay, food check in for the day: br: box of blackberries & almonds l: 1/2 of my big salad Sn: odwalla bar sn (before spinning): oran

I ate an Odwalla bar, which is delicious and (seemingly) healthy. However, I think it has some cooked stuff in it. Not sure how I feel about Odwalla bars.

Oh, and I am currently drinking green iced tea. Also, I have decided to eat raw over Thanksgiving. No need to ruin my progress just because it is "turkey day," I'll be sure to make a big delicious salad, and bring some fruit as well.

In regards to your earlier question, I have decided to eat raw tomorrow. I just feel like I have come a long way and it takes me several days to feel really good & back to normal after eating cooked food. It is just not worth it for me. I think it would be a great idea for you to make something for your family! Why don't you make a really big and healthy salad with lots of fun ingredient

Last night I did end up eating when I got home -- was really hungry. I ate -an apple -a banana -carrots -almonds -olives Not so good. It all started with the banana and the I just ate everything raw in sight. At least it was raw! I know that I really can't even eat 1 piece of fruit at night, or it will set me off into an eating ramapage. Today so far I have eaten: box of blackberri

Well, my roommate's friend left for the day, so I made my green lemonade. It took me 21 minutes, including clean-up! Not too shabby. I bought the vegetables at the grocery store after spinning. I think I am going to try to make this my daily morning routine: -spinning at 6am -grocery store to buy veggies -make and drink green lemonade

Don't worry about the detox zits. You will just need to wait it out until your body fully detoxes. Think of it as a long-term investment with the payoff of beautiful, clear skin. Also, remember that eating raw will prevent wrinkles, so in the long-run your skin will be much better off. Sounds like you are doing great! Those lara bars sound intriguing, but I tend to be a compulsive eater,

I went to spinning at 6am, then did a few sit-ups and back exercises drank green tea ate a box of blackberries and 30 soaked, peeled almonds I really wanted to have green lemonade, but my roommate's friend is sleeping in our living room, and the juicer makes too much noise. I am going swimming at school at 11:30, so maybe at 10am I'll have some green lemonade. That is

Well, I came home brushed my teeth and made a big salad for tomorrow. Not eating at night when I get home is so difficult for me, so every time I am successful at resisting the urge is an accomplishment! My juicer cost $60 at Linens & Things. It isn't the best one by far, but it was all that I could afford. If you have the money, I would recommend one that doesn't keep the pulp inside of the mechanism because sometimes you have to clean it right in the middle of making yourself some juice. The $60 one takes a bit more work, so some day I will be able to afford the $300 one :-). Maybe afte

Yes, you are right. Seeing people putting poison into their bodies, just reaffirms my decision to eat raw. It is almost painful sometimes to see what people eat -- especially little children. I remember this one time on the bus, I saw these two cute little kids eating sweet rolls and grape "drink" (sugar water with food coloring) for breakfast. I wondered how those kids could learn

That first week when I was doing really well I lost like 6 pounds. I think I want to go back to what I was doing then: box of berries with 20 almonds big salad -- half for lunch and half for dinner water and green tea throughout not so difficult, i just gotta keep the goal in mind. that's the plan for tomorrow...

Wow, I was hungry when I got home and ate a lot -- green lemonade, apple, banana, almonds, and taboule (mostly parsley with bulgur onions and tomatoes). I guess it makes sense because I hadn't eaten in 6 hours, and swam a mile today. I am glad that it was all raw, but I don't love eating so much at night. This has been like a lifelong dilemma. I think I am going to try to have dinner at 8 a

I love my juicer! I can't get enough green lemonade, I am just worried about how expensive this is going to be to feed the juicer -- and my habit! Any suggestions? I don't know if I am ready to do a juice fast, actually. I like to eat, and have been enjoying my healthy meals. Maybe I'll try to incorporate more green lemonade into my diet but don't know if I can actually do a fast. Today I

For a lemonade fast, do you drink green lemonade? I am thinking of doing that as well -- today was the first time I tried the green lemonade recepie of Natalia Rose. I just bought a juicer for the first time yesterday. I loved it!! It consisted of: spinach kale apples lemon celery ginger I plan to do do that every day (Sunday-Wednesday), eat vegetarian but partake in thanksgiving, and

I think I am going to fast on green lemonade until Thanksgiving (Sunday-Wednesday) eat a vegetarian thanksgiving meal on Thursday, and then fast again Friday-Sunday. Next Monday (a week from this monday), I will reassess and see how much longer I will fast. I really like green lemonade, and am super excited about it! I bet it would be very tasty with mint!
