i did a 21 day juice (feast? fast?) recently, and i was going gangbusters until i hit the wall at about day 12... from there it was a total struggle. but i was only consuming 2-3 32oz jars a day, i wasn't limiting myself either. the global juice feast website says up to 4 32oz servings/day, but i was too lazy or too full of juice to drink that much. the good news is that with the juicing (and

my advice is... don't go looking for a fight. the way you hold yourself and present your "argument" when you believe the other party is going to attack you does more to invite the very attack you are expecting. just assume that you have the right to raise your kids how you would like, because you do, and strive to keep an air of calm confidence around the issue. and once you and your h

we've got the sweetest little thai watermelons and honeydew melons in season right now on maui... i've been juicing a whole one or the other rind and all each day. YUM! the watermelon is delish, but the honeydew juiced is just ridiculously good.

light is a wave AND a particle. a coconut is a fruit AND a nut. when the meat inside is soft and jelly-like ("spoon meat" i consider it a fruit, when its firm and crunchy, its a nut.

the vitamix and juicer didn't just fall into your hands by accident. the universe knows you're up to something big, and is right there supporting you. just trust that the way will make itself clear little by little, or in great leaps and bounds! and keep learning about raw, experimenting when you can. you'll get there!

sorry for the late reply lanie, i didn't realize this topic had been moved! i get my herbs loose from my ayurvedic practitioner, she recommends soaking triphala overnight to release its goodies. (buying it loose this way is, for me, about 1/3rd the price of a bottle of capsules.) i don't like to take any kind of capsule, i always open them up and dump them out into some water and chug it that

i used triphala after i came off a master cleanse and was transitioning into raw to help increase absorbtion of nutrients in my colon. i used it for about 30 days, 2 t in a glass of water left overnight to soak, then down the hatch in the morning. the cool thing was, when i first started the herbs tasted really bitter. my ayurvedic practitioner said "when it starts tasting sweet to you,

imagine you had a beloved relative, an aunt, a cousin, a nephew. would you ever want them to come over to your house and eat what you are eating if they knew it was going to make them feel sick or deplete them? no! don't assume that you are "making problems" for people or being high maintenance. bring your own food, eat it with joy, don't judge others, and generally you will be totally

c'mon in, context, rawrnr... the water's fine. my original goal was just to stay 100% raw and drop all questionable raw things from my diet for the 60 day period. but recently i've upped the ante to a 21 day juice cleanse and no overt fats for the 60 days. its amazing what a team of support and a good coach will inspire you to try!

> In my book, broccoli and blueberries are not superfoods! she's reading a different book than me. eating raw is about getting the body to its natural state of health and ease, so that we can become AWARE of the superbeings we already are. there's no pill, drug, magic potion, or "superfood" that will take us there --that's such a backwards way of thinking. we're there already.

fresh dill is a staple in my house. i like it blended up with soups (cucumbers, tomatoes, celery, dill, and lemon juice is one of my favorites) or tossed with some olive oil and lemon juice and fresh pepper over zucchini and/or cucumber noodles. yummy!
