i remember reading that in the first weeks of going raw, and i thought "hmmm, so its possible this diet is not sustainable for the long term. interesting. i'll check it out for myself and see." that's still the way i feel. i'm checking it out for myself. if there ever came a day when i experienced dis-ease or my teeth started falling out of my head, and i thought my diet was the caus

i can't eat more than a couple pieces of pineapple at a sitting, either. even the awesomely delicious low acid varieties grown here locally. but some people can seriously chow them. everyone is different on that score!

wow roxeli, thanks for sharing that. you're an amazing mom! good for you and all you are doing to help your daughter through this. most people would just keep trusting the doctors, keep treating the symptoms, etc. but you have taken your power and responsibility back and are really going for it! i really admire you. i would add that you should forgive yourself. you did the best you knew how to

yep, i'd go camping with all the fruit eaters and the veggie eaters too! people on this forum may eat differently than each other, and harbor beliefs that one way is superior to the other, but i don't think any of us has forgotten that we have much more in common than the petty differences over exactly which raw foods are optimal. its okay to talk about it, though. its useful, in fact. my

i just saw this video of tonya kay talking about manic depression and raw foods and thought it was so applicable here... i really like what she has to say about raw foods not being the cure for anything.

okay, i have to admit, the first two classes i was feeling like the person in the comedy club who doesn't get the joke. i had fun witnessing the human spectacle, and i did feel slightly energized by all the deep breathing, but beyond that, nothing. but my THIRD class -- wow. it felt like my old ecstasy and nitrous days! (isn't that a terrible way to describe an expanded consciousness experience

you don't have to be afraid, and i'm not saying whether you will or will not be deficient in calcium or B12 (or anything else for that matter). all i'm saying is you shouldn't feel like a scared child who disobeyed an authority figure. that should not be your relationship with your doctor. take 100% responsibility for your health. your doctor advised you to take supplements, you decided not to (a
