Maybe Rosemary's question has to do with raw fooders (long term ones) thinking that only raw foods will do them well and not have to use other health practices? Could one's ego at being a long term raw fooder get in the way of reality? Just my guess at what she meant by her question. As for me..at my age of 54 and having loved the sun my whole life, and living in SoCal for most of my adult

Call your Dr. and ask him about the new pills..the pharmacy could have made an error..they do that sometimes. It's up to you to take them back or to another place to have them checked out. I'm sorry you have had depression in your life..I can't imagine what it must be like. I only had the normal grief and a bit of depression over my sisters death and really not too much over my mom's as she li

Lovely..nice that you enjoy making raw dishes. Try some coconut oil on your skin after bathing or showering..very conditioning especially for feet and heels. Had my molar pulled out yesterday..ouch...but not too bad today. I did blow all raw though..due to a class I had to atttend..ended up eating too late and then going with a small cooked meal. That's ok..all raw the rest of the day. Love

I'll certainly do that..that would be a cool youtube video..I might do that! Someone had a post recently about just using conditioner on their hair for washing..and I've tried that..been almost 2 weeks probably and I really like it. My hair is not so fried and awful when I wake up in the morning..it's softer and more conditioned. My scalp feels clean, my hair looks clean..so I'm going to keep doi

Wow Kathy, that's is some life story. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. You are an inspiration, for me, and I'm betting for others..not just for working on health issues thru raw foods, but for your heartfelf joy of life even when it was tough. I think people that keep love thru-out their ordeals, reap the benefit of good Karma, or their spirituality. Keep us posted..we'd l

I don't know that eating raw foods costs more..maybe in beginning because you are trying out new things, combos, and fancy recipes. I find once people are long term raw fooders they have really pared down the amount and variety of raw foods..just seems like that to me. I used to think eating healthy was costly because I was eating cooked, and in order to eat better on cooked you think of th

I had hypoglycemia before I went raw..it was really weird. When I got an episode, I'd get a feeling of paralysis, light headed, and feeling faint..all really fast together..I could be walking down the hallway and get all that in a second. If I didn't hurry and lie down, I'd have fallen or fainted to the floor. It was very scary..like having a heart attack or something. Once I started taking i

I also have sciatica, and I went to the chiro for a couple months for adjustments, and learned a couple things. The stretching exercises did more for me than anything, and they have this really cool styrafoam roll that you can massage your pain away. I planned on getting one for myself, you can buy them online (do a search). My pain radiates from my lower back down my right side just above my

I started feeding my dog when he was 4 years old the raw dog food from the pet store..and he's soon to be 8 years old..very healthy with no problems. My cat was 13 years old when my dog was 4, and I started him on raw chicken..which he loved much more then beef. My cat was very fat, he lost weight, looked healthy, and did really well on raw chicken. So, it's never too late. Love, Prism

My dog gets raw ground bone in his raw dog food that I get from the pet store, and once in a while a raw chicken wingett..'cause he's small, under 10 lbs. I'd look up some raw dog food recipes so you can add in some veggies, fruits, a little oil, some ground bone along with the meats. I don't make my own, so would have to research it all if I were to do it myself. Love, Prism

Even if a product says all natural ingredients, you can't be sure, as the rules for labeling makes it difficult to know exactly what is in a cosmetic product. I make my own soaps, with all the good oils, coconut, olive, sweet almond, etc..and use only real essential oils, and my new batches don't have any added color, unless it's from something like paprika, or orange zest powder. I also c

Oh..very interesting..love to hear about other peoples raw food experiences..hehehe..cashews clean me out when I eat them..and I do eat them..'cause I love them. I've been making smoothies everyday recently..I love frozen or fresh berries (raspberries my fav.) banana, whole mango, and a little bit of juice or water to get it thinner. It's very yummy. Yes, it's all pretty much estimated I think. You'd have to calculate your total days calories, or weekly or monthly, then find the percentage that comes from raw foods, which is TOO much math for me Consitancy would be they key also, which many people aren't. I like saying I'm high raw..which is 75% or more..and guess I'd now should say, I'm low raw..working my way up to high. Love, Prism

How about trying a liquild Vit B syrup..I have had great experiences with both my sons at different times using super B vitamims. My first son got what is called flat warts on his face (all over his face) when he was about 3. The dr. said that he could removed them with something..I forget what..a liquid substance that freezes them..but they would probably come back and could leave scarring. I

Ahh..poor hubby:-( I just think if it's hard for me, it must be really hard for a guy to go high raw or all raw..just the volume of foods they need to satisfy them in the transition period may break the bank! You might try some light smoothies for pre-dinner drinks, and lots of raw veggie and fruit platters for snacks..leave raw nuts around the house in bowls for munching. Make some raw coo
