The things is, all this seems to come out now that I'm raw. There must be something wrong somewhere. This way of eating is not supposed to leave anyone behind.

I really hope all this nightmare is just a big detox. Now it seems that I get this dry mouth at random times even when I don't eat fruit and I'm still losing weight and at 129 Lbs and 6' tall this is not really good.

The what goes in must come out is logic but it's not that when what goes out is more than what goes in and you're thirsty as hell and have a dry mouth. However, I'm putting faith in the fact that it might just be my body adjusting.

I tend to disagree with you guys. It's not a good thing to advertise eating so much fruit especially in the beginning of a raw diet. I've taken this advice in the beginning and I loved eating fruit all the time so that's what I did since I listened to the "listen to your cravings" advice but some bad things happened to my teeth in just 3 months. I now hope eating mostly vegies will f

Hi, I recently posted about frequent urination crisis resulting in dry mouth and dehydration on high fruit. Someone pointed out the possibility of diabetes. I'm 21 years old and this scares me because I never thought I could have such a problem. I hope eating raw food didn't cause such a problem while it's supposed to help. Anyways, considering the possibility of diabetes, what should I

Hi, Here I am, at three months and a half 100% raw and still confused as hell. In the beginning, I took the advice to go low fat seriously and ate large amounts of fruits and some vegies and nuts for the first two months. Maybe 80% fruits, 15% vegies and 5% nuts and seeds (by volume). At first all seemed well and I felt what is usually known as detox. I actually loved eating those savory fruit

I recently saw the movie "Off the Grid". It's about Les Stroud (Survivor man) and his family building a self sufficient house in the woods and going to live off the grid (not dependent on water or electricity). After seeing the film, it made me dream of a life like that. I would push it to even further independence and grow all of my food. I also realized that a lot of people in the

I bought fresh today for the first time since I started eating raw food and I'm impressed. It reminds the smell and taste of those dill pickle chips and it will for now on be a great addition to my salads. It also smells so good. It's refreshing to discover new tastes and smells on the raw food diet everyday!

I've been looking into that subject since going raw because my gum live is already very low. Be sure to include lots of greens for the minerals, don't brush immediately after acid fruits (but rinse your mouth), you can eat a minimal amount of fat but be sure to eat some as it helps assimilate the fat-soluble vitamins. Finally, regular toothpastes are known to be bad for the teeth and gum. E

I'm a little confused about the potassium / sodium balance. I heard it's really important to have those nutrients in balance and that it's easy to fall under high potassium and low sodium on a raw food diet. I also heard that an imbalance can cause serious digestive troubles. Now, I noticed how much fruit I was eating and I incorporated more greens in my diet. I also try to incorporate more ce

I bought some yesterday (Seaveg brand) and I'm eager to eat some right now! I tried it right off the bag after buying it but it was way too hard, I'll let some in a glass of water for a bit before eating. What are the other benefits of seaweeds? Should we eat them in a controlled amount? I wasn't interested in eating that but I now am.

It's true that we're making our own path. The law of attraction brought me the raw food diet and the raw food diet is opening the doors for yoga and meditation in me already. I'm glad I'm alive in such an exiting life!

Oups, I bought the Desert Essence's natural toothpaste today before reading it and it does in fact contain sodium Lauryl sulfate. I think I'll have to discard it. I can't mess with my gum anymore. Lanie, in the beginning of the study, he talks about treatment with essential oils explained in an other study that can not just prevent disease but also heal the gum. That could be the answer I'm

I'm interested to know the difference and the advantages of a home made toothpaste. I've been raw for 3 months now and starting to worry about teeth problems. My gum line was already very low even before starting raw to the point where I have to brush with a toothpaste especially for that, sensodine. It works fine and since I use this paste my teeth and gum don't hurt anymore (but it just masks t

No, really, they are regular bananas I bought at the grocery store. They were in a cool dark room, so it might be the reason why. I was googling around and found a study that was talking exactly about that as a common problem or something, but I had to pay to download a pdf to know more so I stopped there.

Hi, Just a couple of weeks after I went raw, I discovered that I couldn't eat very acid fruits just like that because they burn my tongue so much. Never had this before, hell I didn't even know they was such a thing as fruit acidity. At first I was a little discouraged about it but then I thought that my mouth is better of burning to tell me I'm eating fruits that are too acid than just eat

I heard sweet fruits are a bad combination with fats. I wonder what to do with salads. I like to put sweet fruits in them but also like to add flax seeds or hemp seeds so I now wonder if it's a bad thing to do. Do you separate your fat intake from your fruit intake a 100%?

My god! I'm such a sick person and I didn't know. I eat only raw foods and, like la_veronique said, I avoid mass medias and bad news. I'm on such a bad way of being! Ahahah, Seriously, sometimes it scares me when my family or friends think this way about me. For those who have seen the movie The mist, all the disinformation we see today makes me think about the religious lady in th

I'm a little confused here. I've been 100% for 2 month and a half now and I'm loving it so far but I'm not sure what water is considered the best one. I live in a rural town so we get our water from our own well so I was raised with the idea that this is the best water I can get. Now, I often ear that water without the minerals would be the best. I wonder why because, in my thinking, gettin

Hi, Just wanted to know, when eating celery sticks, is the fibrous part still in the mouth after chewing it all is worth eating? Or is it just more work for the body to digest and not more nutriments. Thanks
