veggiefreak, Hey, I am interested in you're candida problem. I want to see if i can help at all, just by discussing things. I was wondering, have you read 80/10/10 or no? I tried it for a month but started getting some weird symptoms I didn't like. What exactly do you eat let's say over a few days or so? Do you eat avocado in the morning, or at night? Do you eat only mostly sweet fruit?

i mean it's not like there's a specific amount of time everyone's different, and if you aren't getting energy you're probably not eating the right things. unless you want to wait and see for yourself if energy randomly just shows up

Yeah, things SHOULD taste delicious; it's a part of enjoying life, I think and eating is such a world wide thing...so relatable..incorporating so many senses..it's great

i do not agree that food is only emotional; it's important for survival, and something like that would not be based on emotion anything can be based on emotions if you make it so

Things tend to taste better at night, that's probably why you may get hungry at night. Fatigue can also be confused for hunger.

I do think that hunger is not always hunger in some people; i don't know if it's due to over feeding when they were little, though. Though it could be. I think maybe overeating has more to do with an obsessive disorder in the brain. Maybe thinking you have to get more and more of something until you can't stand it anymore is more of a brain problem, you know? Taste is something connected to b

some nutritionists say you will gain weight if you don't eat at least an hour and a half before you fall asleep, because the metabolism will slow down or something i know animals do fall asleep because usually they would eat a looott more then us; you get tired when your stomach is extremely full and you have to digest a lot - hence getting tired after thanksgiving (it's not because of the try

well, I mean you said if you drink tea in a large amount, which would be getting an awful lot of caffeine. >overstimulates the kindeys from stress on your body, making your heart pump harder. If you go and work out right after, it would probably be ok. But I mean if you're not experiencing any anxiety or anything bad from it, I wouldn't worry about drinking it if you feel fine.

are you sure it's the steamed greens that make you feel different? Because I started steaming things and I felt no change. Could be all in your head. It could also be that if you're eating something with a certain diet, it will have a different effect in that environment. like think about it -- if you're on a diet of like mostly meat and fat, and randomly eat fruit with it, you're pro

I was just asking the question to see what debbietook knew about it. I know about it, i've read articles. I've also read articles to the contrary discussed by many hygienists which seem to make more sense. The enzyme theory is not provable or probable in my opinion and experience, and shouldn't be the reason why someone would switch from cooked to raw food. I try to get a good balance of view

I think there are less raw-foodists, which is why it seems safe to say cooked food causes most of the problems. But most people that eat cooked food, in america at least, and are unhealthy, are probably eating some pretty bad-for-you cooked food, and highly processed. Simply grouping everyone who eats cooked food into a category is not sufficient. There are plenty of raw-foodists with health p

some of those toxins in the bean could be changed if heated- just like in spinach or chard which also both contain oxalic acid..but I'm sure there are other things that share the toxins in the bean because most food we eat has an amount of toxic compound in it; i would say if chocolate does anything it's the caffeine that stimulates the kidneys. Too much and you'll probably get something going o

I've read a few things about carcinogens. First of all, carcinogens are in everything. Raw food, cooked food. And second, you'd have to eat a whole lot of something to probably get cancer, disregarding where you live, and your lifestyle. Carcinogens are found in charred things - usually charred meat - at high levels. But that's about all I believe when it comes to carcinogens...Any other

You may just think you know what you feel...or if you actually documented what you are eating, perhaps your calorie recommendation is right on -- so you have no need to count them if you are in a routine of what makes you full and what is correct in terms of energy, sure. But calories can certainly play a role, no matter what diet...I mean just because someone is counting calories, doesn't mean

more vitamin C cures warts; warts are part of an immune defficiency most of the time I know, I started eating mega amounts of fruit and my wart disappeared (but in the transition it did, and I was still eating like 40% or so cooked food), but I'm going to have to say it's probably not as simple as "just raw foods" that cured it. It could have been a certain THING I was eating befor

If you're constantly hungry, and it's hard to maintain weight, I mean obviously you need some more food. Calorie-dense food! Might be why the cooked food made you feel better -- and also it does take a lot of energy to digest A LOT of food. I mean 5 strawberries vs. 40 will not digest in the same amount of time. I know, I get the same feeling when i eat huge meals of fruit. It happens in chi

I have to say...I don't see this as a very sound experiment. First of all, the body is smart. If you feed it less calories then it needs, it's metabolism will slow down and adjust and store as much food as it wants away as fat as to not die. There are many complaints of people often "plateau"ing on diets -- or starvation diets. If the body thinks it's starving, it will store more fa

And what I'm saying is that not everyone is diseased and unhealthy that isn't on a raw diet..haha. You also can't assume that an accepted range of healthy pH is only from the study of people that are unhealthy. You would think someone who wants to help people or test pH would want to know what a healthy range is...I think they would try pretty hard to find out, you know?
