I agree as well with Jackie and Ally. This idea of a "miracle food" isn`t very accurate. It`s about a varied amount of fruits, veggies, nuts etc.
And local is best. Nothing like eating locally produced food and supporting hard working farmers!

With all the global warming and abnormal weather patterns ( read terrible heat) I am really grateful to have an A.C at home. I do love getting fresh air but when it feels like 42 degrees I`d rather sit inside with my A.C

33. B12
Hello
Can anyone who takes B12 supplements recommend a good one for me? I feel off lately-not physically so much but emotionally for no reason and I think it maybe a good idea to make sure I`m getting B12 whether that is the underlying reason or not!
Thanks.
Cheers.

Fruit is a great cleanser and it is fine ( temporarily) to okay to forgo greens. It`s only worrying if you feel this way in the long run as a low green diet can be deficient in many nutrients.
For now though enjoy!!

sure-I think you can try a lesser quantity of green smoothie. Your body has to slowly heal and be able to absorb all that green goodness.

40. ejuva cleanse?
I purchased the ejuva cleanse a coupla years ago and neatly tucked it away in my cupboard. Thing is, I don`t even believe in it the way I used to and I think it was an unncessary purchase on my part-I could have spent that money on exotic fruit, organic greens and a spa! Does anyone have positive feedback on the ejuva? Thanks.

it`s far better to eat healthy vegan cooked foods than drink alcohol-it kills brain cells to say the least.

I know this must have been discussed many times but I`m so confused about this and will really appreciate the input of other wise souls here.
I have a vitamix and I love it. But I`m also attracted to juicing. Whenever I order some at the juicebar I feel really great and it does look so pretty and clear-it does make me want to drink a lot of it!
So, as long as one gets enough fiber and whole foo

Lifting weights is absolutely incredible and helps buold strong bones, strong bodies and strong minds. There was a recent article about how it helps even with meditation!
Any aerobic exercise will do for cardio but by all means look into lifting weights,

I agree with Fred about not eating too much fat etc but the idea of adding no spices or condiments makes raw food blah for me. I think it`s fine to add spices and be creative. Raw food is already so hard, don`t need to make it unneccesarily difficult.
I do love mono-eating fruits alone. But often I add spices to veggies and it feels goood..

I looked at www.totallytraci.com and I thought that the lovely traci has implants or something cos she her top bits have ballooned over a period of time. Of course it`s none of my business but I agree that people look so much better natural and healthy.

ooh thanks so much for all your advice. I gently told my friend everything you`ll have said and what I think and she said she will wait 6 months in order to think about it,. I think she is seriously reconsidering it!!
Cheers!!

fruit can make you spacey, definately, try adding more greens. Also did you have a proper transition into raw food? Going from 100% cooked to 100% raw is not recommended. Be gentle with yourself..

It is ok, fine and healthy to blend fruits with greens. Why don`t you try blending fruit with fresh greens? Add as many greens as you`re comfortable and progress from there on? They actually taste good.

My friend is into raw primarily to look good ( better skin, clearer complexion) and I suppose the road to perfection for her includes implants.
I feel bad about it because she is an amazing and totally beautiful ( inside and out) person and it surprises me but there is only so much I can say.
It`s hard tho, in this world, this crazy world of implants, botox and the like..

thanks for your responses! The implants were not for me. I was just wondering about it as one of my friends is considering it, she is already 50% raw. She hasn`t fully made up her mind either. She was wondering about how food affects implants and I was curious as well. I wouldn`t like something artificial in me that could cause health problems and affect the children I will have someday, I think
