Does being raw help decrease the chances of having complications while getting breast implants or does it actually increase chances of complications? Have any of you`ll had implants or know any raw food people that have? Been wondering this with a few friends for a bit...

Sooo profound and incredibly practical ( I loved the part about being grateful for this breath of life, this miracle!) am gonna write it down and put it on my bedroom wall, i will look at it first thing in the morning! I think many people go through a stage where they lose a lot of weight and then they rebuild their body with lovely raw nutrients and slowly gain weight again. This is a slow process but it`s worth it. Same goes for muscle mass as well. You will lose it and then gain it back-only it will be all better. I`ve learned many new things-for example after a while you can gain weight and muscle even o

Hi all Usually I`m thinking about what food to eat, what will best " purify" my body etc. Tonight I have different thoughts. I don`t know, maybe it came from taking a step back and observing myself as well as others. Eating " naturally" etc is great but it has its drawbacks or rather we create drawbacks for ourselves. Many people I`ve talked to feel a lot of isolation eating

You simply peel the top brown layer off and eat! It tastes soooooo gorgeous. No raw food recipe comes close to the delicacies that nature herself has come up with!

Hiya! I`m very inspired by your passion for green smoothies! I was wondering: do you think a cooked vegan ( my friend who eats a small amount of raw food) will benefit by drinking a green smoothie with one cup of greens in it everyday or does the amount of greens have to be much more than that? Also how many cups = a pound of greens? Thanks so much!

A lot of raw food recipes can be used for transistion and then an occasional treat. You`re right. A lot of them are in fact unhealthy and not " natural" It`s not natural to consume that much fat, so many nuts etc. If we loved in the wìld we`d mostly eat greens and fruit, not so much fat. Need to be super creative to come up with healthy recipes. I think Frederic Patenaude has a book

Hi all I went out to a friend`s cabin and found so much clover growing everywhere, I ate so much of it! ( I used to eat that when I was a little girl as well) Was wondering if anyone else likes them and what nutrition they might contain? Thanks!!

Mark Thanks for your reply. I am quite new here and I`m not 100% raw or a fanatical raw foodist. I believe in the power of raw foods and am trying to eat a plant based diet with lots of fresh, raw foods.. I know what you`re saying about people twho live long but are unable to do anything-I see it all the time! I`m simply trying to be a little more skeptical and curious in my approach as I`ve

What puts me off about raw foodism is that there is so much talk and so little evidence. We cannot base our scientific sources on one person who may have lived a long time. What about so many SAD eaters who live well into their 90`s and some longer. I honestly don`t know what to think. Here is some information from Dr Joel Fuhrman-a wonderful vegan doctor. "I was taught cooked foods stic

try mono eating your fruit including lots of greens ( esp green smoothies) cutting down on fat ( fat makes me sluggish and most raw foodists eat too much fat anyway) good luck!!

Carrots juiced will be stripped of its goodness and fiber and will leave you with sugar. You might not want to drink a lot of it...

Yes I really think so. Fruits are great but they basically shouldn`t make up the bulk of what we eat. Greens should. And the more amount of fruit you eat the more greens you need to buffer all that. Fruit, in moderation is great. In excess it can create all sorts of problems. Some people do fine on a fruitarian diet but most people in the long run need to eat lots of greens, it`s only natural. I

honestly, I`ve done both and did not notice much difference. I think a diet with some healthy cooked vegan foods with lots of raw, fresh vegetables and fruits is better than a 100% raw diet with lots of dehydrated food, lots of nuts..etc Don`t push yourself if you don`t like it. Simply adding lots of raw fresh foods is a big healthy change! I`m simply not convinced that a 70% raw food diet ( e

beware of any one food that is touted as a miracle good. Physical health is about boring old fruits, veggies, exercise and good mental health. No cacao is going to change that.

cacoa is good as a treat. Certainly not a good to eat all day especially when you feel sick from eating it!

I think it`s fine and hope you enjoyed it. As for myself I allow myself to indulge in pleasure foods as long as they are vegan. It`s just food after all. I mean raw food is great and all but it`s not the reason to live. All animals eat raw and that in itself doesn`t make life meaningful and wonderful. ( I might get bashed for saying this!) There are more important things in life than food.
