Don't worry too much about the reviews, you never really know what drives people to say what they do and what their "true" experiences were, outside forces that influenced them or the person's background. At any rate, the book should be considered in any raw foodists' collection at least. The concept is a major influence on "alot" of people and the information alone is valu

Weight loss can come at different times and different degrees also for people. It's not uncommon to lose nothing for months then all of a sudden it drops off seemingly overnight. So many different scenarios are out there though.

Hmmm, seems like you are all over the place to me. One thought I would consider strongly is contacting Dr. Graham and setting up a consultation and just dealing with it correctly and be done with it. You can consult via e-mail too and at least contact him with your troubles. Getting erratic help from others(which can be very valuable at times) but most don't have your health history in adequat

A good rule of thumb might be to look at it this way - If you have to do "anything" to the food other than pick and eat it you are compromised to a degree. It's up to you to decide where you want to draw the line then. There is no wrong or right actually. David summed it up perfect I feel: -Don't get hung up on the word 'raw'. Think 'fresh, unprocessed fruits and vegetables'. Anyth

If I'm reading your description correctly, it does sound "raw" as most would consider it - There are better choices and there are worse choices to make, depends where you want to draw the line, or if you feel it makes a difference or helps. I'd be more concerned with the better choices usually than how truly "raw" something actually is myself. Usually the best choices are o

So with all the fasting discussion, I might have missed it, how would one re-enter food after say a beginner attempting a 2-3 water fast?? I could see keeping activity in check as mentioned.

I have been dealing with the same jokes, the same old lines for years now. You can't let it get to you. I just learn to laugh at myself from their perspective. From their point of view they have no clue and I can see how funny or odd it is to them. I would have thought the same years before myself so how can I blame them?? Feeling bad or hurt is hard to imagine. I made the choice to do this, s

The Fruitarian One Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > wikipedia is not a very good or accurate source to > get your raw vegan info from, anybody can write or > re-write what ever they want about it. > > F1 Very good point and I imagine most that contribute to that page aren't experienced raw fooders anyhow.

I'm pretty sure she has been at it and teaching for over 20 some years and obviously has been successful. Which in the RAW world I think means more to me than being schooled. I think many assume alot about her without reading her book which surprised me after a read it actually. She has a very common sense and intelligent thought process with her approach. She seems to attract alot of high nut

Be careful with David's book though, good info for Colitis & Crohn's perhaps, but some of the advice should be taken ONLY as guidelines, which he states also. So other issues, even digestive, can be aggravated by his advice if you don't watch. Anotherwards, go slow and find out what works for you :O)

I'd surely consider option #2 first, BUT only if you have someone to guide or help you through it correctly. The wrong choice of fruits or veggies may irritate things the wrong way for you.

Usually Dr. Graham is always recommended as one at www.foodnsport.com I would imagine. Don't be put off by his listed fees, contact him and see what he will offer first I'd suggest.

Whatever you do - DO NOT ignore it if it persists. Do not take other peoples opinions on your condition either as truth. There are too many other unkown factors that may be involved they are unaware of. Digestive issues are also very individual. The consequences can be life changing. Don't mean to sound dramatic but stay on top of it. Digestive issues are still a mystery for the most part a

It's not really "always" considered a cure, but a very enjoyable way to eat and has many other benefits for anyone I feel. Be it grape, orange or banana, etc.

Bananas might be too heavy for a morning smoothie for some. Keep it really simple and try no more than 3 and just water. Better yet, wait an hour or two and just drink water and let your system wake up first.

I DO NOT want to stir things up but - Taste and appetite satisfaction may or may not be indicators of lower quality. Also, what does nerve damage actually feel like, can you feel such a thing?

If too sweet, add a little celery to it also :O) I've heard by some Juicing Enthusiasts say that 12-15 ounces at a time is best. Anymore doesn't add benefit. Is it true?? Who knows.

I don't think they are singling out Dr. Graham I think it's due to him making a statement on his board about fruitarians not being a wise choice. He states he's known quite a few that have lost teeth, died, etc. Made me think twice I gotta tell ya. Dr. Graham is pretty well respected by many.

I use the apple cider also for a daily rinse. Every couple days a mix of baking soda and water. Over the years I get closer and closer to a water only regimen :O) I also use distilled water daily which has worked better than anything. I'm a guy and my hair is pretty long also. Brushing I have just been using water, sometimes baking soda. Forgot to add, I use no deodorant.

I would suggest thinking VERY HARD before considering any type of cleanse though. They can cause serious harm. If I would have done any during my hard times it would have come closing to killing me. Even while stable I wouldn't touch that for no money. Maple Syrup, Honey, agave can bring about severe pain in some conditions. Fiber can be anti-productive. Insoluble and soluble should be at mini

I have done this and yes the key is just trusting it and knowing yourself. Easier said than done by most. Forget everything you have heard, even from the raw food guru's. It takes TIME and PATIENCE and being very diligent and finding out what works for the individual. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT and REACTS DIFFERENTLY TO DIFFERENT FOODS. This is so true and must be understood I feel. Fasting is the
