I see that the new/60th edition of the "Apple Cider Vinegar Miracle Health System" was published on 7/2/2020 & is available for sale for those interested. This seems to be the first book published by Patricia Bragg's new company, "Patricia Bragg Books, LLC" since she sold & split from Bragg Live Foods last year. I have a copy of the "Thirteenth Printing 1972&

Why do you ask? Off hand, never paid much attention to them. I imagine their popularity ebbs & flows, but don't know what story is now current.

Maybe JR I should have been a professional fact-checker in my past life. I don't recall that that requires giving speeches. Hopefully fact-checking keeps people on the straight & narrow. With all the red letters & capitals you use, I would think that you'd at least read what you post about before posting. For example, your post, still re Dr.Kass: "who gave a very very famous

Gee I just read Dr. Kass's very very famous speech given in 1970 to the Infectious Disease Society of America. You might try reading it JR. Not quite like youor Robert Kenndy make it sound. I personally had two cases of (infectious) TB in my immediate family, but there was no deaths directly involved, only long stays in TB sanitariums. My brother, who was 5 at the time, is very much alive

I think you promoted Dr. Edward Kass to "Head of Harvard Medical School at the time". I just read his obituary & he was "a Professor" at Harvard Medical School, not the "Head". Or did Robert Kennedy get that wrong?

JR Will you please enlarge, so its readable, the article/study per "The Pentagon" where it says that a person getting the flu vaccination was 36% more likely to get the COVID-19 virus. Because that's what I asked for earlier. And since you mention it in this posting series, I presume its available to you.I don't know what "SLIDE" means, but that is the same study I found on

Oh yes, one thing I forgot to mention from my conversation with the COVID-19 recovered lady in front of my house on Sunday (I guess I got carried away by the subject of "cheese", was that after she recovered (took about 6 weeks), she was reading up on the subject (of COVID, not cheese), & came across the idea (now just an "idea", mind you), that she was low on "zinc&qu

Actually, the ONLY UNBELIEVABLE part of our conversation was when she said she was a 7-year vegan and I said I could easily be a vegetarian, but never a vegan, mostly because I love GREAT cheese too much, and then she claimed she could make me a vegan cheese that would change my mind. How silly can you get? But she was a Good Sport about it.

Understand that I am long retired & don't belong to any organizations or church group, etc. so except for my immediate neighbors, meet few/new people. I guess I'm a happy sort of hermit. Anyway, a lady(maybe 40) walking by admired my stone fruit trees in my front yard, I told her to pick a few nectarines, and we had a pleasant chat. She told me she was visiting from out of state. She also

Please---it shouldn't be difficult to get Dr Cousens' source on what "The Pentagon Report" actually says without getting into Bill Gates et al. That's getting boring. So exactly where is the Pentagon Papers (is Nixon still alive?) that makes the case that if I get my annual flu vaccination this coming Fall, that I am 36% more likely to contract COVID-19 following. DUH!

Since Dr. Cousens' "Fact essay" claims "A Pentegon study shows those vaccinated against the flu are 36% more likely to contract COVID-19" and since I get a flu shot every fall & am in that high-risk age group for COVID anyway (I'll admit to having a 83rd birthday next month), maybe John Rose would be kind enough to give a "reliable source". I did find an on-

Geez Louise! All I did was try to straighten out Dr. Cousens (& maybe JR). Now under that same heading, "Inefficacy Of Masks", there is a reference to an article in the New England Journal of Medicine"(May 2020). I didn't find/read the original article, but I did read the followup letter to the editor from presumably the same three doctor/authors explaining further. You w

Well, the first item I checked in "Inefficiency of Masks", has already been retracted "By Authors" themselves in "The Annuals of Internal Medicine" on July 7, 2020. Have to look further to see how the others hold up.

Sounds like a Good Plan---for you. However if I were to make my very own vinegar in my very own kitchen, I'd choose something more exotic Maybe a "peach Vinegar"? The commercial wine ones we buy are quite suitable. On the vinegar subject, I finally purchased an apple cider vinegar (raw, unfiltered with "Mother" from a company in Virginia called "White House since 19

Personally I prefer wine vinegar, though I don't attribute any such nonsense to it. It also has "The Mother", but I hate "her" because "she" keeps clogging up our 40 year old plus vinegar dispenser.

BTW, I see recently a few photos from the Patricia/Robert Bragg 1955-1956 divorce have been put on the internet. For the one that includes Paul, Patricia & newly ex-husband, Robert, google "Bragg Settlement, Jan. 16 1956 Getty". Since Bragg cut his son out of his Will, I doubt his smiling face lasted much beyond the photo.

Tai: I don't know how many dollars in sales are/were made from the Bragg health books vs. its "product line". "Bragg" is, of course, and always was, a privately-held company. I seem to recall, just generally, that its yearly sales was around $100 million, but unknown if this number was "total" or even remotely accurate. I have been curious if the new owner grou

But back to Jack LaLanne's oft-told story, most often by him, of reluctantly being taken to an Oakland lecture by Paul Bragg by his mother due to his extremely poor health. After finding in the Berkeley, Oakland & San Francisco sports pages of Jack's participation in various sports events prior to any of Bragg's lectures---there were 5 or 6 evening lectures that October 1930 week---without s

By the way, I don't know if, in the past. I recommended an article from the Los Angeles Times dated in March 2000 & written by Charles Perry, Times Staff Writer. It's a blast to read since Mr. Perry has my favorite dry sense of humor. Its title is "The Vita-Veg Days", and I checked and its still available for reading on the internet. Unfortunately Mr. Perry didn't do all his ho

Well, first of all, Paul Bragg never grew up on a farm. Never, Ever. Although that is the story he told. I have a copy of his "booklet" Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar System from 1972, wherein, on page 12, he states that "My father was a splendid farmer and many times I would watch him add cider vinegar to the feed of ailing cattle. It acted like magic." Paul Bragg's father

OK I checked on Jack's mother's actual age, and it was 89 at her death Jennie Garaig LaLanne was born in France on October 28, 1884 & died in California on December 14, 1973, so she turned 89 less than 2 months before she died. I have a copy of Jack's last book, "Live Young Forever", copyright 2009. On page 22 there's a photo of Jack and his mother and a handwritten notation adjoin

BJ: I've done fairly extensive research on Jack LaLanne & his connection with Paul Bragg, and his story about attending a Paul Bragg lecture in Oakland in sad shape which turned his life around don't jibe with some facts that I gleaned from local newspapers (I am well acquainted with Oakland & Berkeley California.) First of all, Jack was born on September 26, 1914 in San Francisco, an

BJ:You are correct. The fictional sister of Paul Bragg WAS named "Louise". Better memory than mine! Actually I do believe that Paul Bragg legally adopted Patricia as his daughter. Oddly, one of the few true things. As far as Jack LaLanne being a protégé of Paul Bragg, I greatly doubt that story, which was probably dreamed up by a Hollywood press agent. By the way Jack died at

And, by the way, I seem to recall that The Miracle of Fasting book was where Bragg created a fictional sister (I don't have a copy--I perused it in a health food store once), who, by using his fasting method since it repudiately also "worked" for the underweight, changed from a skinny, unpopular girl to the local Belle of the Ball, had many suitors, successfully married & had many c

Oh dear, how easy we excuse sociopathic liars. Paul Bragg definitely raised the bar on that subject. And it was "financially lucrative" too, which always helps. And since he didn't live "past 90", no "huge achievement" there.

Interesting article. I actually contacted Vicky Uhland, its writer, when I first read it on-line in 2008, & she contacted me. I think she was surprised to find out that a lot(not all) of Patricia's version of both hers & Paul's life stories were fabricated. Ms. Uhland did not seem to be happy about this turn of events. In the meantime, after publishing the Uhland article (as originally

I should add that fairly recently I ran across an advertisement in one of the old Washington D.C. newspapers from, I think 1912, when Paul Bragg would have been about 17 years old. He was advertising giving exercise (or maybe bar bell) lessons at the D.C. address which was also that of his parents (as shown in census records & city directories for many years back in the day). That may have
