i think that diluting the grass juices with water is best in the beginning. they are really pleasant to the taste and the after taste is really nice too.
sows and horse grow quite well from this kinda food so there must be huge nutritional benefits with it.
i'm thinking about doing a fasting cleanse with grass juices. i also throw in a few dandelions and other herbs which i am familiar wit

would you believe...?
the grasses (all differnt kinds)in my yard taste better than any wheatgrass i have ever juiced. it is a tiny bit sweet but not bitter and it goes down smoothly. i dilute it with a little water as i am getting used to it and its freeeeeeeee. just go out and cut it with a knife or scissors. wow!!!!

try offering it to horse or a cow. also you could just trust your sense of taste as yogi recommends. if it looks like normal blades of grass or wheatgrass ....chances are that it is ok.

i think chewing on some the grass you are thinking of juicing would be an excellent way to test.
nature has a way of warning us with the way things taste and smell.
another good way i think would be to try feeding it to a horse or a cow ....and if they like its likely to be juicable.
there are many many grasses in nature and no doubt each is slightly different.

the best apple i have ever found is called...honey crisp.
it is juicy and crunchy and has a perfect balance between tart and sweentness.
it is relatively obscure...i saw it for the first time at a local apple orchard this past fall...bought a small basket and trekked back to pick up a bushel before they were all gone. definitely the best i ever tried.

update on my "experiment"
i cleaned my juicer yeaterday after 3 days of putting it in the cooler instead of cleaning it each day.
results was that the fine screen needed alot more extra to get it clean. i would say that if needed you could postpose cleaning it for a day or two by refrigerating the twingear housing with all parts intact or simple put the whole machine in if you ha

you just put the housing with the twin gears inside ...not the whole machine...unless you wanna park a mack truck in your fridge. i have an extra fridge on my porch, so there is enough room for me to park it....evan outside on the porch,.. while the weather is cool.

maybe someone will come out with a glass straw for us juicin' people.
the straw also comes in handy when i get too much juice in my juice cup its is ....if i use the straw i can avoid spilling juice from the too full cup as i'm removing it from under the juice hole.
the strw also helps mix more saliva with the juice when drinking it. it helps you "chew your juice" as many expert

although this may not be for everyone.....some may welcome this information as being useful! i have been experimenting with storing the greenstar juicing chamber ( all parts intact.... except the motor housing) in my refrigerator overnight so that i do not have to clean my juicer all the time. undo the latching arms and remove it all in one piece and place it in a tray of some kind to catch any

great idea. could have a small sized brush with a long handle to keep them clean. i keep using my plastic one over and over it cleans up pretty good. the foam looks like alot of foam before applying the "straw method"....but it disappears almost instantly when the straw is applied. the foam breaks down very quickly once it hit the saliva in the mouth. it looks like much more juice that

update on green grass:
i went out again and harvested some more of the free sprintime fresh grass growing in the country side area where i live. i juiced it easily in the greenstar within minutes of harvesting. it actuall has a miloder taste than wheatgrass......very easy to drink. i added a little apple again but actually it doesn't need apple to make it taste good.

i was think in terms of not wasting it. it is kinda hard to get to if you are trying to drink it or spoon it it out ....so the straw is fast and gets it all.

recently i started drinking my juices through a straw so as to allow a better mixing with the saliva in my mouth for best digestion and assimilation. in the process of doing so, i neatly discovered that the "foam",especially from green juices, is very easy to drink by using a straw. it disappears from the juice cup very quickly.

i am familiar with torpedo "grass". it doesn't evan look like grass! most grass that i talking about here, actually has a remarkable sililarity to wheat grass. in fact i learned about juicing these wild grasses from a guy out in california who is a wheatgrass expert. he is evan listed in one of the books as the wheatgrass messiah.

as ia m writing i have a fresh made pint of celery kale parsely romaine lettuce and apple, i will have another pint in an hour or so and probably through the day another 3 pi nts of the same combination. i plan on starting some wild greens and grasses in a day or two...not quite tall enough yet.

i agree..... the price of produce is quite expensive and the waste generated by centrifugals is really quite significant. most any of the stuff about juiceing has alot to do with one's m"mental phrasing" as i call it. that means you can make things difficult by thinking about them as such and vice versa.l
cleanup is a pain with any machine....but if you dont procrastinate with it,
