I will do that. I have to call stores back to see if they'll try to help me get signatures to help Millions Against Monsanto. I do have room to grow things here in TN. My lot is about 55 x 110'.

Hi, I recently gave up all vitamins, minerals, hormones, and other supplements I was taking, in favor of organic herbs and organic foods. I'm feeling more balanced, and it seemed like such a great idea, and then I hear the bad news that the US Gov't seems to have "signed a deal with the devil". I thought I'd be safer with organic foods than supplements, because they've threatened to

I've read some depressing articles lately about Monsanto dropping the ban on GMO alfalfa, etc., and I'm not sure what to make of it. Right now there seem to be several good sources of organic foods available. Do you think this will change in the near future, or later on, or maybe not much at all? Some people say they're going to plant a garden. I've never had my own garden, or done too well at

I've had many bad ones and have taken them back to the store for credit many times. I try to stick with green & red mangoes that feel close to ripe. I often smell them to make sure they don't smell off, because if they do, they tend to often taste poorly, like pesticides or something. If they're dark / blackish on the outside, they seem more likely to be inedible on the inside, and tend t

You put the lime in the coconut, you drink them both together, put the lime in the coconut, then you'll feel better. His sister had another She paid it for the lime. Isn't it hard on the juicer to add frozen stuff to it,

Thanks again. I've made frozen banana *ice cream* many times, but with a small old Oskar food chopper that used to be my Mom's (and it's a miracle it still runs after what I've put that thing through). I used to add yogurt or some other liquid to help blend it in, but with the 8004 I can probably make it with no added ingredients, although I do like frozen blueberries a lot and will probably try

Thank you! I value your replies. I pushed the button on the 8004. The other functions the 8004 does may come in handy sometime too, as I plan to get more and more into raw foods eating, so much that I want it to eventually take the place of all supplements. I have a SLEW of supps that I'm going to toss someday.

Update : I called the company that makes the organic carrots that have tasted odd to me lately, and she told me that is NOT contamination, but lowER sugar content and higher Turpenoid content of the carrot. they seem to have a good, caring quality control dept in that company and I was glad I called her. She said she's going to send me coupons for free organic carrots. :-) So, don't let the t

Thanks. I really think I'll like an Omega 8004. I've seen youtube videos on them and I love how slow and quiet they run, and the 15 year warranty is awesome. That's really quite a machine and not really that expensive. I want to make sure to get one that does well with greens, as I think greens are where most of the nutrients are at. I didn't want to go an extra $90 to get a Omega Vert, a

I've owned Juiceman Jr, LaLanne, L'Equip, Acme, and Champion juicers but I don't own one at this time. I don't think I want to get another centrifugal juicer, and I don't think I want another Champion. I don't want to spend more than $250. I'll be juicing a mixture of things like celery, cucumber, greens, carrot, and fruit. I'm thinking an Omega 8003 or 8004 would be a good choice. Are they more

It's hard to believe that so many of the general public are buying commercial apples and other produce every day and actually think they taste good! I think they are pathetic tasting -- very un-natural tasting. People have gotten so used to pesticides that they've gotten immune to the taste of that garbage. It's sad, because that stuff isn't healthy, IMHO.

I believe it. It probably includes a lot more than just root veggies. I can't stand the taste or commercial apples. I tried a couple of them a while back, just to see how they'd be, and I ended up throwing them both away, a Granny Smith and a Gala. They had a weird chemical type taste. I'm used to organic apples, but when I often ate commercial apples back in the 80s, they didn't seem to tast

I don't know but offhand I'd say that commercial USA grapes are a low pesticide food, and I may just keep on eating them. Like I said, they taste quite good, and not noticeably better than organic grapes, so there may be little difference.

>Candida and other opportunistic pathogens flourish in an alkaline intestinal >enviroment. I agree. Acidity prevents it from getting out of control, which is why I don't agree with the alkaline fad because I think pH needs to be balanced, not lopsided.

I bought two brands of organic carrots a while back, washed them, and put them together in the fridge. Then I noticed that some of them had a taste that reminds me of diesel fuel, especially at the first bite , so I would spit it out into the garbage and sometimes throw that carrot away. Anyone else ever notice this? They say carrots are earth cleaners. All I can think of is that these were plant

I used to think they were high in pesticides but lately I seem to find info that says USA grapes are good, but grapes from South of the Border should be avoided due to pesticides. I've bought commercial USA grapes a few times lately and they sure taste good.

PS - I found the info on Adzuki beans here in another section. Red kidney are the ones you really need to avoid, and mung & lentils are the safest. I'm not sure about Pinto and Black beans.

Looking for good tasting things like low heat cooked beans, barley, oat groats, etc., that are a protein source. It will also help if they taste good. I've seen some raw grains taste poorly, so much so that I couldn't eat it (sprouted wheat comes to mind., tasted like and had the texture of hay). Thanks.
