Not to make to fine a point on it, but it is a raw vegan forum, not simply a raw vegetarian forum as Rocketship says. Honey isn't vegan. As such, it is inappropriate to print a recipe with honey or suggest it. IMHO. Kref

Second what Suncloud said. Vegan is vegan. Plenty of Weston Price/Paleo forums for those kind of things. Btw, cheese is one of the worst things you can put into your body. Much more saturated fat than beef or chicken. They also use aluminum in processing it. The antibiotic and growth hormone residues from the cows... you get the idea. Kref

Twin gears are generally more expensive, more difficult to clean but can produce a higher quality juice. Single auger juicers are less expensive, generally easier to clean and produce a good quality juice, albeit not quite as good as the twin gear. As usual, John Kohler has a great video comparing a single auger juicer (the Omega 8004) and a twin gear (Greenstar Elite). If you watch the vid

if there are risks to reducing DHT, I'm not aware of them. I've been on propecia for 12 years without incident. Best decision I've made. I'm sure I'd be as bald as a billard ball without it. DHT is a mixture of cholesterol and testosterone. It makes your prostate enlarge and cause hair follicles on the scalp to age and die. I'm not aware of any risks with blocking it. Kref

saw palmetto supplements are reported to block DHT hormone formation (the main cause of male pattern baldness). But if you want to hedge your bets, get a propecia prescription and buy minoxidil. You probably will never grow back what you have lost (if the follicle is dead it's dead). But you can keep what you have and then decide what works best cosmetically for you. You can cover with pro

Dr Michael Greger, a vegan MD who works for the Humane Society, just opened a new website www.nutritionfacts.org Greger is not a raw vegan and strongly supports a science based approach to vegan nutrition. Nonetheless, he provides some interesting insights you won't necessarily find elsewhere.

that many perfectly healthy people and some not so healthy benefited from a human intervention for a system - the immune system - that you claim does not exist. For many of these poor souls but for the vaccination they would be victims, not victors. On Ebola, my point. Over 90 percent die, some of the decedents perfectly healthy. Nothing in your article to suggest superior nutrition was t

Fresh, Your whole approach to risk and threat of substances is too reductionist and lopsided. So you can drown in water and sometimes anthrax doesn't result in exposure, does that mean we can't view the human response to a toxin or pathogen in terms of an immune system? I don't think so. If we are all eating as well as we can and we are exposed to ebola virus, we die under just about

I haven't heard Wolfe put anyone down, that's true enough. However, he has sued Harley which if is to intimidate is worse. Harley doesn't seem intimidated in any case. But defamation is serious business. To prevail, David Wolfe would have to show harm to his reputation and monetize it. Not the easiest thing in the world with these kinds of videos.

How much does it cost? You haven't mentioned price. What's your second alternative based on what everyone has said? What are the trade offs? I don't know you but you've certainly but a lot of thought in blender choices. Kref

First, you want D2 not D3. D2 is vegan, D3 comes from sheep insides, I think. Fuhrman sells two formulations, one vegan, one non-vegan. Choose the Osteo-Sun vegan. Same price. about half way down the page. For fatty liver disease, Milkthistle is supposed to help. Chris (Powerlifer) probably has better advice herbally. Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease. It's amenable to improv

They claim up to 4 pints a day. That sounds a little unrealistic. Just wondering if anyone on the board has any experience with blueberry bushes other than BBG. I don't want to end up like whatsherface on Willie Wonka and the Chocolate factory.

Harley, I just watched your video. And I guess my question is what is your point? If this is our "natural diet", which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, it would be fun to see how we lived and evolved moving into temperate climates with all of those date and banana trees along the way. Lots of people thrive on a raw vegan diet without a staple at all. The assumption that yo

This study seems to suggest a different why acidity accelerates the leaching of BPA rather than solubility as the study you cited above about the ph 5 being the highest for an amphoteric compound. . "The data presented in figure 1 reveal that all products leached detectable levels of BPA, although there were differences in the amount of leaching from different manufacturers' products.

Kind of makes sense to ask the question since so many on this board are prospering on that type of diet, high fruit, greens, limited nuts and seeds, monomeals. Just curious has anyone studied 80-10-10 or a fruit based vegan diet for health outcomes? If so what was the result?

Well I don't know how exercise crazy Bragg and Walker were. Certainly not in LaLanne's league. But as far as exercise having a practical limit for longevity, if you aren't training for competition, 60 minutes a day, everyday should do ya. As far as an alternative to a long and healthy life.. not a mutually exclusive one...
