You are asking full price new for a used item, actually more. Discount Juicers is selling an HP3A for $400 + free shipping and you are asking $450 for a used one. You should knock off $100. Note, I'm not interested in buying as I already have one. But just commenting on your asking price. Kref

It's kind of the squeaky wheel gets the grease. What's remarkable about an athlete, vegan or otherwise who isn't fat? What would be remarkable is seeing one who is fat. What is remarkable about a vegan, athlete or otherwise, who has normal B-12 level in their blood who gets B-12 shots? None of that is remarkable. What is remarkable is how often we remark on it. Kref

Jodi, I understand your feelings about warranty based upon your experience. I value long warranties as long as they are original and not extended warranties. I have submitted two warranty claims with Omega, one for an upgrade for a tighter fitting lid for my Omega Big Mouth and one for a cracked screen for my Omega VERT. Both claims were serviced within 5 business days. I have no persona

Can be toxic and is partially soluble in cold water. Ultem is a different story. The MSDS (material safety data sheet, required by OSHA) doesn't indicate either toxicity or solubility. So, in addition to being safer than melamine, it's more durable which is why the Omega 8006 warranty is longer than that of the 8005 simply because it is a better resin. A better question would be, what is

Jodi, Thanks. Glad you like your Greenstar. No doubt it is an excellent juicer. But the plastics vs. metal in JJs post above is a little oversimplified. Don't ya think? First, the comments about stainless steel being healthier and safer are just his opinion. No data to support them. Second, "plastics" is an oversimplification given that the materials have changed (melamine to

Melina and Davis have commented that chickpea sprouts are full of anti-nutrients that interfere with protein absorption. Personally, I wouldn't eat them. Mung beans and lentil sprouts are much better alternatives.

I can't speak for everyone. But "Helloob", you joined in August, have 5 posts and everyone of them is tied to JJ and his Greenstar Elite. You don't have a single post on another subject not related to Juicin John and his juicer. I will let the reader draw his or her own conclusions. Regarding the merits of JJs original post, it's just his opinion. Nothing more. No leach data

less calorically dense for the obese. A fruit and vegetable based diet is likely to be less calorie dense than a starch based diet as long as you limit the fat - nuts, seeds, and oils.

the way food companies are manipulating food these days with sugar, fat and salt, it you are going to make an exception, make it a raw vegan whole food exception rather than a cooked processed food exception. Not all cheating is created equal. A little indulging is ok provided it's a whole food or close to it. But some foods should never be eaten under any circumstances including cooked anima

What % can be removed through washing? Cherries are a stone fruit (e.g. pit, not Brad Pit, that's for the best looking cherry, but still a pit). Anyway, their smooth non-pourous surfaces. So how much can be washed off??? a lot a I bet unless it's a systemic. If it's a systemic, you are SOL. Eat melons and citrus instead. Cherries are the pits!!!

raw food will be helpful if protein is adequate. But if you are treating hair you've already lost, best bet is propecia, minoxidal 5% and hair restoration therapy when you've seen what you can grown back. Foods won't do it.

masking the taste of strong flavored greens like kale with sweet fruit if you are comparing it with just straight juicing of greens. To be fair, people frequently add either apple or pear to the green juice for the same reason.
