Oh, yes, I did not eat the skin. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to, and it felt really tough, so I didn't eat it. Kind of glad that I didn't!!

ok thanks. The skin was green, but I wouldn't say it was awful, it was really soft and creamy, just not much taste. Thanks for the info!

...or favorite thing to eat on the raw food diet? My favorite fruits are passion fruit and mangos. I could eat those two things all day long! I tried a sapote the other day and thought it was really bland and boring - did I just get a bad one?

I get REALLY tired when I don't eat enough calories. It sounds to me like that might be part of the issue you are having. Can you increase your calories a bit and see how you feel?

I agree. Just go slow and listen to your body. And I do not know what it is like to have Crohns disease, but wouldn't going through detox be worth it if you didn't have to suffer from Crohns disease anymroe?

Thanks for the tip, but I do prefer to eat fresh and in-season fruits and veggies. I just feel better that way. The health food store I shop at does have frozen organic mangoes, but they just aren't as good as the fresh ones we get in the summer time! Thanks anyways!

Pleased to meet you and your little one as well! I don't think there are too many of us Kansan's here! We were going to move to another state (we moved here from Phoenix a few years back to be with my husbands family), but now we found an amazing farm for sale in Paola, KS, so we might be staying after all!

I still haven't been able to find durian in my area. I really want to know what it tastes like. Can I order any online? Fruit the size of a car - now you're onto something. Let me know when you get that figured out. I'll be a customer!

I do yoga, run, hike and I do strength training. Do you like yoga? There are some wonderful yoga dvd's that you could use at home. The yoga I do is a mix of going to a studio and doing dvd's at home. If you are interested, I can recommend a few to you.

Yes! We love Quinoa in our house: "Quinoa seeds can be sprouted and eaten as raw, live food for snacks or in salads and sandwiches. To sprout the seeds, soak about 1/3 cup seeds in a jar for 2 to 4 hours, then drain and rinse the seeds twice a day for 2 to 4 days. When the sprouts are about 1 inch long, place them near a window for chlorophyll to develop, which will give them a vibrant g

Thanks for all the replies. And just to clarify, when I said I seemed to be heading towards being a fruitarian, I just meant that I seem to be wanting and craving mostly fruits. I do still have at least two smoothies a day with different greens in them, and I love those. And I don't see myself stopping those anytime soon. I also love to wrap different fruits in either collard leaves or romain

Welcome to the forum! It's good to have you. Here are my answers to your questions.... I have a 4 year old daughter, and she is not a raw vegan. She goes to a Montessori school a few hours each day, and I am not able to send food there. At home, she gets raw dairy products. We can't make our children eat what we eat...we can only teach them about what is healthy and hope they make good dec
