I seem to be heading towards being a fruitarian. I guess I am hesitant because I want to be 100% sure that I am not missing out an any essential minerals that are not in most fruits. So I guess my question is, what do you do to make sure you aren't missing out an anything essential? Do you supplement with some sort of mulitvitamin/mineral? I don't want to be 50 years old and realize that my h

coconutcream, yes, he gets some hot pics of me, but I won't be posting those on here! In fact, he just told me that he wanted to take some new ones of me this weekend. He just got a new lens as well. Is that Chickadee the cutest bird? He waited and waited for the right time because it was really cold out, and he knew the bird was going to "fluff up" at any moment, and sure enough! H

My husband always wishes that I would just sit down, or lie in bed and "relax" for more than 5 minutes at a time! The only time you will see me sitting very still, for a long period of time is when I am meditating.

Rawrrr, I agree completely. I know plenty of people that are not vegans that are just as you described. Being vegan doesn't make you a "better" person.

I lift weights as well, and I agree with you sunshine. I do yoga, lift weights and run, and all of those things make me feel teriffic! You are right about lifting weights...it gives you that "can do" attitude. But so does Yoga, for sure.

Here you go, coconutcream! He entered this photo into a "Nature and Wildlife" contest and it won First Place. He's an amazing photographer! I've seen your pictures, though, and so are you. I left the picture big so you could see all the details in it. And here two more of my favorites of his pictures:

We LOVE young coconuts at our house. My 3 year old daughter loves them more than anything. I only eat them once a week due to their high fat content, but I wish I could have one everyday!

Yummy! That looks so good and it just made me realize that I was hungry. Time to go get my fruit! My husband has the same camera as you, along with a bunch of different lenses. He just won an award for a picture that he took with it. It's an awesome camera.

I can tell you what we grow, but I can't tell you much about the process because my husband does the gardening and I do all the meal preparations. It works out great for us. Currently, we are growing spinach, cilantro, and some different varieties of lettuces. Last summer, we had 16 different heirloom tomato plants growing, all kinds of different lettuces, broccoli, red peppers, cilantro, onio

So I have been eating them, and I really like them, but do they make it hard for anyone else to fall asleep at night? I only have maybe a teaspoon full in my fruit smoothie for breakfast, and I am not able to fall asleep. Does this happen to anyone else?

I agree completely, sunshine. I am a runner, and after running on a hot day, and not replenishing my "salt" (I use Himalayan Salt Crystals), I feel very spacey and like you said, just "off".

I agree completely about everything that you said! Sometimes, I wish more parents would give a lot more thought to what they were feeding their kids, AND how they were treating their kids! People always gave me such a hard time for being so picky about the things I ate when I was pregnant and breastfeeding. It made such a huge difference in how I felt, and how the baby felt!
