Great post, coco. That is so true. Maybe some EFT therapy + deep breathing would help? With affirmations like: "Even though I have not yet been able to fully stick to 100% raw, I deeply and truly accept where I am on my beautiful path of healing and learning." (eft has helped me so much)

I agree that you should just aim for MORE raw foods without making it an all-or-nothing switch. I used to be very all or nothing about myself and go on similar detox and destruct cycles to what you mentioned. (except with me instead of baked goods it would be alcohol/cigarettes, then detox, then alcohol and cigarettes again-so silly) Make your goal being as raw as you can be. A no deprivation

I think it is just a raw forum, not specifically 801010. I am definitely not 801010, as a lot of fat in my diet works for me.

I really don't like the cult-like mentality I see in some of the 80-10-10 people... it's somewhat disturbing to me. If it works for you, it works and I'm glad. But it clearly doesn't work for everyone. I'm more of a fat person. I have a very very fast metabolism. I eat fruit in the morning only. It revs me up and awakens me. But I mix avocado in with my smoothie to make it heartier and preven

"I cant believe something so toxic and addictive is legal let alone so accessible" ^Yes... I lost the first half of my twenties to it... literally... I was a blackout drunk so I don't remember like five years of my life. The worst part is I was a blackout drunk who would do horrible things. Sleep with people I didn't even know their names, get into fights, and the worst, DRIVE. I am

I am a former alcoholic, alcohol-free since 2008.... giving it up (and all people who use it) was the best choice I ever made... too bad it took me hitting a MAJOR "rock bottom" before I could get there, but either way. I still like pot in moderation for medicinal reasons but I still really relate to your post... you're not alone! <3

What is your definition of thriving, fresh? Just curious... I come from a history of SAD, tons of health problems, barely able to get out of bed a few years ago (I'm only in my twenties too!), nearly died at one point I was so sick... so for me to be able to be athletic at all would be considered thriving for sure. But I suppose one can always thrive more!

Hey there. I found this forum looking for info about raw food+eye color changes and multiple people in that thread referenced a pic thread but I can't find it. I love looking at pics of raw foodies (not in a creepy way lol) as they are always healthy looking and inspiring. Can someone link me the pic thread? I've tried searching and can't find it.

Some people with super fast metabolisms, like myself, seem to need more fat and burn fat for fuel more efficiently. Others, with slower metabolism seem to be weighed down by fat. I think it depends on the person. But I agree with powerlifer, I just don't see the point of limiting myself further when I do good on the diet I'm on, no reason to cut out the fatty (good fats) things I eat when they gi

Ah, I didn't know that. Must just be something about it that doesn't agree with me.

I have been 100% grain free since the first day of 2011 and in these past few months I have never been healthier. Even rice was triggering my candida overgrowth and leaky gut symptoms and making me sicker. Plus grains seem to make me very acidic. I have tried sprouting grains like quinoa and still gotten a stomach ache from them. The no grain diet leaves me energetic and very lightweight!
