The awesome thing is when you eat all whole/raw foods, it's easy to avoid.

I would consider myself to be thriving. BUt not everyone wants to have their images (let alone vids) up on the internet.

Of course it's not ONLY the fruit. And of course some people have stronger teeth than others. Very few people are living the perfect life you mentioned so for some of us we have to be careful. I think the biggest problem time is when you're crossing over... coming from a very bad lifestyle and diet to a raw foods diet. Your body needs the fruit, but your body also hasn't had the time to heal,

I disagree with california. I grew up in the farming area in central cali and it was hard to find ANYTHING organic there. Anything... it was a very poor area and stores simply didn't carry high quality produce because no one would buy it and it would rot on the shelves. I also had a hard time finding specialty items in any of the stores there, even stuff like Coconut Oil or gluten free pasta. It

So is he saying that one must have these things to thrive? I thought he was going to say how to thrive if one COULDN'T get these foods... I don't see how anyone can say these foods are THE foods for the human diet. If that is the case a large portion of the earth's population is going to have to die off I suppose, because there is no way we can grow enough bananas and dates to feed the entire

I take a D3 supplement every day and it seems it has done wonders for my health. I only got sick once last winter (when I normally get 2-3 colds per season) and it lasted maybe 4 days vs the WEEKS of sniffles I usually get. Then again, I started the D3 around the same time I started my high raw/grain free diet... so I'm not sure which is actually doing what... Either way I'll stick to my D

An entire bulb of raw garlic would be pretty intense! I do put quite a bit of raw garlic in my raw ranch dressing though, and I love it.

I eat it both raw and cooked, depending on what I'm making.

My ex fed his son nothing but canned spaghetti and ravioli. The "vegetable" would be like 1/4 of a can of corn or something, and the kid usually wouldn't even eat that. It was one of the reasons we broke up, it just made me so sick to see, and I couldn't change it because since the kid had been raised on junk he would completely freak out if I tried to make him eat real food.

Hmm, I don't really have any advice but all I can say is the raw honey I had a little while ago was solid. Of course it was refrigerated being raw, which would make any honey solid, I'm pretty sure.

^The same thing happens to me if I try to eat oranges that way. I have to peel the orange and take the little sections and eat them whole. I like it better that way anyway. Also- toothpastes which contain glycerine stop the body from being able to properly remineralize teeth. Basically everything I was ever taught as a child about dental care is wrong (fluoride is good for us, brush with toot

They are out there! Actually most of them probably ate grains + animal products. I knew a girl when I was younger who claimed to never have eaten any fruit or vegetable in her entire life. So gross.

My body likes it, my teeth don't. I eat it every day I just blend it or juice it and use a straw. It helps my digestion a lot.

Very good point, power... What I should have said is, I believe the body is self regulating in perfect conditions... So perhaps had I been born to a pure mother who'd been living off all raw organic foods in the middle of a rainforest with the purest air and water on earth, and then been raised in such a lifestyle, I would have been self-regulating in my early twenties instead of nearly losin

I don't think you can listen to it online anymore. You can buy the mp3 somehow I think but the link they set out to the live debate doesn't have it recorded. I'm surprised there wasn't an instant follow up video from DR, lol... especially since Richard has done multiple follow up blogs since. It depends on what you mean by "gone well"... over all, it's obviously a matter of person

I've been gluten free almost 3 years now and I still feel I am healing my intestines from the damage. But you have to completely avoid gluten. If you're sensitive to it that is, which it seems you are. As far as recovering from an individual glutening, that's hard to say. An accidental ingestion (which, if I had to guess, would equal probably less than a teaspoon of gluten)for me the effects w

Well, fruit CAN hurt your teeth. I'm living proof... I'll spare writing out the whole history of why I have messed up teeth/bad enamel as I've talked about it on these forums before, I think. Anyway, it's not important. But it's something I've been suffering with and working on healing a long time. And it's gotten much better this past year. But there have been times I couldn't eat fruit a

Something interesting- When I ate more SAD, and would then eat a lot of raw fruits, I would get these canker sores. But since I've been high raw, and have alkalinized (or healed, balanced, whatever word you want to use)my system, I no longer get cankers at all and eat probably 2-3x as much fruit like oranges, pineapple and lemons. The same thing happens with my tooth sensitivity. I've h

Wow, I was given Cipro when I got dysentary while traveling in Cambodia a couple years ago. I didn't end up taking it, despite my friends telling me it would kill off whatever was making me sick. My instincts told me to just ride it out, and although I had severe toilet issues for about two months, now after reading this thread I'm so glad I didn't take it. As for the nutritionist... yeah it
