I feel you, I gave up on doctors years ago after a many year fight to try and get to the bottom of what was wrong with me. I had zero help... and spent thousands upon thousands of dollars only to be left suicidal and hopeless. It's only by the grace of God and the beautiful and strange synchronicity of the universe that I was able to stumble onto my healing path... Thank God we have places li

I don't think "doing one's work" is enough. I am a dancer and I rock climb, but if I don't train my body in other ways (cardio, weights, etc) on my off days, I don't make the same gains.

If you're high raw, why do you have to make a choice to go back to cooked vegan? I mean, if you're only high raw, aren't you already eating raw food + whatever cooked food you like?

Marinated mushrooms sound awesome. Can you do it with any acid such as lemon or apple vinegar?

Haha that's funny banana, because the Shitake's I ONLY like raw. But the baby bella's and other forms I only liked when I grilled them. (I'm high raw, although I don't cook mushrooms often anymore)

"Doubtful unless you have heavy metal, fluoride poisoning etc. Does this happen with all sea vegetables? " I do. (have those poisonings) That is why I know I need iodine, but at the same time the detox is so unmanageable.

Do we really need to be worried about onions? Answer: No. Should some people avoid onions if they don't like the way they make them feel? Answer: Sure. Almost all foods have good and bad things about them. That is why it's important to eat a variety of foods and avoid too much of any one thing. I would consider onion a flavor enhancer rather than a medicine or even a food. None of us

I've been trying to eat sea vegetables for a long time... every time I do I get a terrible terrible skin breakout. Is it the iodine? I know iodine causes detox but ugh.. these breakouts are very ugly, HUGE and quite painful. Does this happen to anyone else?

It's hard to say without knowing the EXACT details of how the child died... but I'd think that if these parents are going to be put in jail then so should all of the parents out there who are feeding their kids macdonalds and pepsi...

I buy them year round. Sometimes they are worse than others, but I don't really pay attention since I only use them in smoothies (I have very sensitive teeth and it hurts them to bite directly into the apple-to acid)

Yeah, he seemed pretty awkward about being on camera. I hope it was made known to him that he was going to be the subject of such a negative video. Otherwise that is pretty cruel.

I'm not really big on the idea of expecting horrible things to happen... but as far as food storage goes, the only things I store are rice, and a TON of sprouting seeds like lentils and mung beans.

Hey ya'll. I came up with something easy and good last night. I'm sure someone before me has come up with this but I figured I'd share either way. I made kale/celery/pineapple juice yesterday, and on an impulse I decided to take some of the pulp out of the juicer and put it away. Later I mixed it with some soaked ground flax (liquid), a bit of olive oil and a splash of apple cider vinegar.

Cilantro is an amazing detox. I have no idea how it works but it does something intense to me. I have experimented with it a bit now and eat time I eat a lot of it (It seems I have to up my amount every time which is good-means I'm clearing out) I get heavy metal detox symtoms, similar to when I detoxed with lugols iodine... I get this very strong metallic taste in my spit. Then the next day it g

I do wonder how people don't get sick of the fruit. You must have to really like fruit to do this diet. I did a basic 811 diet yesterday just to see what it was like and I was literally gagging after the 6th banana...

I just get why you'd WANT to eat like a chimp. Eating nothing but unaltered fruit would make for some boring dinner parties. Hey ya'll! Come over to my house so I can make you dinner! *Guests arrive and I hand them a banana* lol.... Not putting you guys down or anything. It just wouldn't work for my lifestyle. Food is an art, to me. But anyways this thread is just spiraling down to nowhere so

We are just going in circles at this point. Definitions of food on the Web: * any substance that can be metabolized by an animal to give energy and build tissue * any solid substance (as opposed to liquid) that is used as a source of nourishment; "food and drink" * anything that provides mental stimulus for thinking Doesn't say anything about being able to be eat

Sorry RP, I mixed up another poster with your posts when it came to the studies thing. Mad respect for the PHD! I'm personally not claiming pepper makes things more digestible, it just doesn't do anything bad that I can tell. If it does, it's just one of those things for me, like breathing air that is probably polluted when you walk through a city... you could avoid that by never going into

Oh I totally understand, but to me, someone saying they are going to eat soy is like them saying they are going to drink a bottle of poison. I couldn't sleep at night if I didn't try to stop them. I am still healing the damage that 3 years of being a soy eating vegetarian did to my body. It's your body, but I will never stop talking down about soy. It's marketed as a "health food" s
