Yes my question would be if they were organic. I get mine organic from Whole Foods. The only times I've been to Asian markets in the past, not a lot of stuff was marked organic.

I am interested in getting the Clements book after this thread. Personally I seem to do way better on more greens/veggies/fat than more fruit sugar. My body has never liked sugar much. Yet fat leaves me "humming" with life and buzzing with energy! The way my body works on fat really disproves a lot of what people say about it weighing you down and what not. I still think that the

I have a question- If a person reacts quite unpleasantly to bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, etc. But doesn't notice an immediate reaction to tomatoes, do you think it'd be better to avoid tomatoes? Background: I am trying to heal leaky gut and have autoimmune disease. If I eat any sort of bell pepper, my skin gets very itchy and I feel hot all over. I've always read that nightshades further t

Hey there. I'm on day 11 or 12 or something... thinking about starting the process of breaking the fast today. Well, last night I was almost 100% sure I was going to break it today (was very hungry) but I woke up not hungry at all for anything but juice... so now I don't know. This has been an amazing fast though! Longest I've ever fasted.

I don't really sit and eat them but whenever I juice fast I just cram the whole thing into my juicer, seeds and all, so I'm sure some of their "stuff" gets in my juice... it's never made me feel sick or anything, but I don't know.

Ew! The picking nose comment he said was nasty as hell. As if that's something to be encouraged? That literally made me gag. Snot always disgusted me even as a teeny little kid I'd cry and run and tell my mom when other kids did that, lol. And B12 in the air? w...t...f! It seems like he just says whatever comes to mind. I don't care for him much honestly... I mean, in the most respectful w

Soaking them helps me digest them better, that's the only fact I care about really.

I agree, I think greens are one of the rare things that combine well with most everything. I am not a big fan of eating nuts, but I do like grinding them and mixing them with raw vinegars and oils to make dressings. My absolute favorite thing on earth is raw vegan ranch dressing. I also like to make nut cheese from sunflower seeds and put that in nice chunks on my salads.

Bananas are a staple in my life. They seem to be good for me as long as I exercise a lot to burn off all those calories. I'm a dancer so I really need them.

If she isn't open to bitters, will she drink enzyme rich juices like pineapple and papaya to help with her digestion?

They are both ridiculously hot. I'm so glad I discovered this path while still in my twenties. Maybe I'll just look like I'm in my twenties forever! I swear I've de-aged even in the 6 months I've been eating high raw.

I disagree that dentists aren't evil. At least, every one I've ever been to has been. Okay maybe not EVIL but completely misinformed. No, you can't radiate my brain with unneeded xrays. No, you can't coat my teeth in a fluoride paste. No, I'm not going to brush my teeth with extra fluoride toothpaste, either. No, you can't scrape my teeth like that, remember I just told you, they have NO enamel?

Newhoove maybe you could shed some light on something that I get quite often. It sounds similar to the lump in throat thing but a little different. First of all, I should say for anyone who hasnt read my other posts that I have a number of other health problems I've dealt with and am working on healing, including a lot of autoimmune issues, imbalances, numerous food intolerances especially to

It WAS my intuition that led me to go grain free. Grains were further destroying my already messed up system and probably leading to an early death for me, so in some cases, specific diets DO matter. If you don't understand why people would go grain free you've got a lot to learn. I mean that with no nasty tone what so ever, just that you literally do have a lot to learn. We all are learning.

Oh and I wanted to add I really think there is also some sort of back up that happens with deoderant, because of the toxins being released, and like anything else, I think people need some time to "detox" after wearing it their entire life, so when they first stop, there might be more smell. But after awhile, either you get used to it, or it improves, I'm not sure which. I just know I d

I just don't wear deoderant at all. Haven't for maybe three years now. Occasionally I'll rub a little sweet smelling essential oil like cinnamon or peppermint on, or put something yummy smelling on my skin like really rich coconut oil. But no deoderant. Your natural smell becomes pretty yummy when you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, especially tons of leafy greens. I notice if I eat too m

I don't know about nutrients, but a lot of people, like myself, cannot digest grains, they irritate our gut lining too much and cause leaky gut. So even if there are nutrients, they are not absorbed. And it's a really nasty downward cycle if you continue to eat them, when you react this way. I'm sure it isn't that way for everyone though. I was sick with autoimmune disease all my life and my

Have you checked if you're celiac or gluten intolerant? I am, and severe cystic acne like lesions and the inability to keep any weight on are two of the symptoms I had. I still get violent skin reactions sometimes from even being in the same ROOM as wheat, that's how sensitive it can be. It can take a long time for the skin issues to heal up, so even if you've recently given up gluten it coul

Do you do any oil pulling? I swear I'd have lost my teeth by now if it wasn't for that (I was diagnosed with severe periodontis at age 23 due to the way my autoimmune disease wore down my gum tissue).

I can't quite tell if I'm sensitive or not. But I know I'm sensitive to bell pepper and jalapenos. They don't cause an autoimmune reaction exactly (the way gluten or something like that would) but they do hurt my gut and my skin gets very red and itchy for a day or so after eating them. Tomatoes don't do that but I notice if I eat them for more than a couple days in a row they start to inflame

Yep, raw milk is illegal here in NC. I know people who have to drive across the border to SC to get it, as if they are making an illegal drug run to mexico or something. It's truly insane. I am dairy free and have no desire to drink milk but it's still maddening. The food system in American is so messed up. I'll say this though, I've had a bad feeling about chicken for awhile now and have been

They are a nightshade, correct? I've always avoided eating too much of them because I thought they were. Nightshades can irritate people in a variety of ways.. joints, stomach problems, etc.
