I wish I had more. I have 20x20 foot space plus a couple raised beds in other parts of my yard. I am working on converting the entire plot into raised beds which will hopefully allow me next year to do maximum yield gardening.

It is scary that something like this would even be proposed. I don't image it could possibly pass but then again, if the ones pushing for it have enough money to line the pockets of law makers, who knows. I can just image having to arrest someone for an illegal tomato patch in their backyard. As a LE officer I can guarantee I would NEVER enforce such a ridiculous law even if at the expense of my

My fiance is anti-veggie as I call her. She eats very limited vegetables and I often try to get her to include more but it just doesn't work. I am not a vegetarian yet nor a raw foodie but I am working on it slowly but I do eat quite a bit of vegetables. I prefer the taste of them over meat in most cases. She is good at trying stuff though but I think she is kinda like a little kid in the way tha

Thank goodness I made the decision to do my first garden this year. I have lots of tomato plants out and they are all heirloom so now fish infused maters for me...this year at least.

The green ones from the site I linked to costs $34 to ship 12 of them to WV where I live. Not too bad. That comes out to $4.30ish each. I have never ordered from there and actually it has been many years since I have even had coconut but I plan to try to find some green ones locally soon now that I am starting this new lifestyle.

There is a place in FL that sells and ships and the coconuts themselves are really cheap but the shipping will get you.

Did the smoothie. Not as tasty as the juice but not bad. I think I will do juice most of the time with a smoothie here and there for a nice fiber kick. I just need to get that juicer ordered. I am getting ready to go outside to plant some more goodies in my garden including kale, mustard greens, broccoli (for the leaves as much as for the broccoli), swiss chard, and spinach. So in a couple months

I guess the only difference is you had a smoothie and I had juice. From what I am seeing, some prefer one over the other for various reasons. This morning I am trying it your way and doing a smoothie and I am adding oranges too. Should be good. I guess I just need to make sure I blend longer to make sure it is smooth.

I was pleasantly surprised. Made it pretty simple and beginner friendly...kale, spinach, carrot, celery, apple. Could have used a little more apple but it was still pretty good. Had to do it ghetto style, in my cheap Kitchen Aid blender with a little water strained through a fine mesh colander. Not the most effective but it worked enough to give me a taste. I am going to grab some paint strain

How far does a pound of wheatgrass go?

I am getting ready to order my first juicer and I am very excited about starting to add wheatgrass in to my diet. I have not searched my area yet but I live in a rural area so there is not much in the way of health food places so I have a feeling that I will be limited to ordering wheatgrass seed off the internet. I was wondering what other grasses might be good juiced and especially stuff that m

Hello everyone. I have just begun my journey to a healthy life still in the research phase, hoping to make some life changing changes very soon. I am pretty intimidated by the raw food diet but it is something I would love to try. So far the little reading I have done here this seems like a very friendly place to hang out and learn. Chad
