Peel them and then freeze in a ziplock. Smoothies are a great idea. Thawed out bananas are not the best to eat (texture) but you could definitely eat them if you want. Perhaps in a fruit salad. But smoothies would be perfect. As far as ice cream I LOVE it. I just throw in a couple frozen bananas chopped up to make it easier on my blender, add about 1/4-1/2 almond milk or water and blend. Then

That or the stuff from the grocery is already at the end of it freshness when you buy it. Like eggs...grocery store eggs are like 30-60 days old or older when you buy them. I bought farmers market eggs yesterday (yeah...I still eat eggs sometimes) there were laid on Friday. Huge difference in freshness.

The only reliable UNFORTIFIED sources of vitamin B12 are meat, dairy products and eggs. There has been considerable research into possible plant food sources of B12. Fermented soya products, seaweeds and algae have all been proposed as possible sources of B12. www.vegsoc.org/info/b12.html

I would like to see the blood work of someone on a meat containing SAD diet compared to someone that is high raw vegan or 100% raw. I can't speak for B12 levels but I can say that my experience since changing from SAD to high raw vegetarian (I'm not vegan yet) is: More energy Weight loss Clearer skin Sleep better Improved focus and motivation to do things Depression is gone General fe

Not lately. I'll have to get a current pic taken and posted...nobody on earth would ever think that I was a cop (not really one right now due to lay off) or ever was one.

There is a wild foraging class coming up in September in eastern WV. Not sure where you are in NOVA but it might be worth checking out. I want to attend, just not sure finances will allow it.

Ok...I'm back. Not to bring up anything about the OP or the original topic but to address the excessive force thing in general. I agree. There is a lot of that going on around the country. But it is not a new thing...just being brought to light much more often now that most people have a camera and/or video recorder in their pocket. I don't agree with it and would never purposely do somethin

Show me the law...not your interpretation of it. And flailing around after getting tazed...well...I have video of me as well as ten other officers that I worked with when we were tazed during training. Not one flailed during or after. Watching multiple videos on the internet I don't see people flailing about during or after. In your own words the guy was flailing around VIOLENTY. That is cause

There is also the fact that most officers receive little to no training on dealing with mentally handicapped persons and are usually instructed to take them in to custody and let the courts/hospital/state deal with them. So when the officer goes by their training and attempts to take the person into custody and the person whether it is resisting or attempting to "get the hell away" then

Well then perhaps the word murder should be used in the correct context. The police did not murder anyone so the word murder should not be used when describing the incident. I also do not condone the repeated tazing of a proned out non-combative subject. What I stated was to refute the OP's insistence that what happened was illegal and against training which it is not. It is NOT illegal to sho

Once again...more crap is spewing from you mouth. First of all I NEVER said anyone was lying. But getting information from distraught family members of a person that dies is not a reliable source of information. I didn't say anyone lied but views and perceptions of what happened are often skewed. Secondly, I know what the definition of murder is. I told you what it was before you tried to tea

"Police cannot be social workers or psychologists or surrogate parents." Sad thing is we routinely are required to do all three...sometimes at the same time. And to answer your question...yes, I have worked in law enforcement for the last ten years. Two in corrections and eight on the street.

Here's the thing. The OP wasn't there. The OP wasn't in the police officer's car when they received the call. The OP wasn't at the dispatch center when the 911 call was made. Police are at such a disadvantage sometimes because they respond to situation with only the information that is given to them and many times either the 911 called is not giving enough or the proper information or the dispatc

I missed your last paragraph. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. First of all, it is pretty much SOP to send LE to a call when there is a mental status change. Even if the person is not doing anything illegal or violent the police go usually to make sure that EMS personnel stay safe. Even if EMS do are not called the police almost always are. Someone obviously called 911. What

Not sure where you received your LE training but it it NOT illegal to taze a non-aggressive person. I can taze you for non-compliance. The tazer is the same as using pepper spray on the use of force continuum. And you are getting information 2nd hand from distraught and pissed off family members...hardly objective. Again...I wasn't there nor were you so to know 100% without a doubt what happe

I responded to an altered mental status call once. Guy was laying on the side of the road. Short version of the story is, by the time the call was over I was hauled off in an ambulance and my shoulder had to be surgically repaired. Now I get to live with pain, restricted movement, scars, and knowing that my shoulder will never be as strong as it once was, for the rest of my life. Several months l

I am not sure I could support legalized drugs but legalized weed would be ok with me as I don't really view it as a drug the same as coke, heroin, crack, meth, ect. But I agree...there are so many people in jail for marijuana charges. I have for a long time theorized that legal weed would over time decrease the usage. I think there are many more people that use it because it is illegal than don't

My respiratory tract often gets irritated at night when the a/c is on. I wake up with a sore throat and stuffy head. Unfortunately my fiance is pregnant so she is always really hot. Not unfortunate she is preg., just that is causes her to be so hot and "need' the a/c. What I would prefer to do is maybe turn on the a/c a hour or so before bedtime to cool the room then turn it off, open anothe

I can say that in all my years working LE, not one single time have I ever responded to a call where someone that was high on only marijuana was committing violence. Alcohol...well...I can't count how many times because there have been way too many. It's just disgusting sometimes how assbackwards this country is.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and grab a pack of paint strainer bags. They are these huge nylon fine mesh bags very similar to nut milk bags. You can get 2 in a pack for like $3. Blend your greens in the blender then over a large bowl pour the stuff into the bag and squeeze the smoothie until you get all the juice out. Takes a few minutes but leaves a very dry pulp and gives you lots of juice.

I have an ex who's father was the same when drinking. He would be down right ignorant to his family so I was told. At some point he replace booze with weed and it chilled him out. Still wasn't a great family man but at least he wasn't mean anymore so they accepted it.
