I can't remember reading or hearing anything about collards. But I do remember reading in David Wolfe's Sunfood Diet Success System that kale is high in sodium. So, it must be true!

There's a recipe book by Frederic Patenaude that he boasts as being all about simple. Common, easy to find ingredients, little preparation time. I forget the name of the book. I've never seen any of recipes nor eaten any of them. I used to read his website.

HIYA! I lived in Thailand for seven years. Two years in the South where the season is longer than in Chanthaburi. They also have more varieties, inlcuding the local ones that sell for next to nothing. Also, I'm told and pretty well believe that fewer southerners put ag chemicals on their produce. That includes durian and other agricultural produce. For more than a year I lived in a village

HIYA! Boy, I can add a few things here. First, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned clearly the horrible horrible astringency of a hachiya if it's not completely ripe. God awful. But a couple of you, I think, aluded to the astringency. Next, the spelling is hachiya. The fuyus and the hachiyas, my understanding goes, are both Japanese names. Fuyu translates as winter, in Japanese. I don't

HIYA! I also love jicama. Chomp chomp chomp. I used to eat them in Thailand! Didnt know until now where in the US they grow. I used to love jerusalem artichokes but have been out of the US for quite a few years. I know they're starchy but I like them. Next year ...! In the past I would munch on sweet potatoes or yams (I've never learned to tell the difference) but stopped because I sta

HIYA! I'm interested to see what you all use to clean conventional produce. I've heard and / or read that salt works, that vinegar works, and that baking soda works. I have looked around on the internet yet haven't found anything that I feel is convincing. I don't want to use bleach or dishwashing liquid, even green dishwashing liquids. If anyone can suggest anything, please tell me also how m

HIYA! djatchi, I looked at the link you gave. Yes, it was about juicing, blending and such, but it didn't mention anything about magnetic fields. I guess you are advocating grinding, blending, and juicing everything in our mouths. Thanks much. Troy.

HIYA! On August 14th I posted this question on the Juicers and Blending forum. It's been clicked 65 times but nobody has responded. So I hope it's okay to post it here. I reworded it a tiny bit. Thanks. Posted by: TroySantos (IP Logged) Date: August 14, 2006 09:53AM HIYA! I have a group of friends in Thailand who are pretty savvy regarding health things. Somewhere they got word t

HIYA! Several days ago I accidentally posted this to the Other Topics forum. Ooops. I'd much rather put it here. Thanks. HIYA! I have had hemhorroids since I started eating mostly raw. I recently read somewhere that too much fiber could be the cause. I was surprised to read that. Wonder if anyone else knows of this. Not long after my first raw meal, about 12 years ago, I went @

HIYA! I know a group of people in Thailand who are pretty savvy regarding health things. Somewhere they got word that blending foods destroys enzymes. That's because of the magnetic field. I've told them that raw foodists have been blending foods for decades and, so far as I know, there's been no talk of this. So, I want to see if anyone here has gotten wind of this. Thanks, Troy.
