My opinion:
-Necessary? There are no raw food police. Many feel that soaking them makes them healthier. I've tried them just about every way. I DO think soaking them is a little healthier and easier to digest.
-You can certainly do the research and decide for yourself the amount and types of nuts you think are healthiest - and to what degree you want to soak / sprout them.
-I definitely

2582. Re: New...kinda
Hey! Congratulations on your goals! My opinion is always that if you are going to do a good thing....then go ahead and commit to a lifetime process of improvement at YOUR pace.
-What motivates ME is to choose the things that I think are the best (like a good diet) and make small goals....and HIT them every day.
-I'm self-actuallized! Hooray!
-You'll get a lot of wonderful ideas and sup

-Do the research. I, myself, believe medication is not the best thing for my body. If I thought these things effected a cure.....or a bodily improvement....I would take them.
-Instead....I believe it is our actions and lifestyle that give rise to conditions like arthritis.
-I think it's great that you are trying to wean off of them. As far as medication goes? With close consultation with y

2584. Re: I'm new
-You are certainly welcome here!
Advice:
-Do all the research....talk to all the people......read any books......talk online......
....but eventually make a list of all the goals and dreams you have. Then underneath each goal, make a list of 5 VERY SMALL things you are prepared to do (and want to do) to reach each of YOUR goals.
-The important thing is not achievement - but excellenc

-My understanding is that they are always pre-cooked. If you want them raw - then one would have to obtain them from an oriental grocer (if at all).

David Mason here!
-I have eaten nothing but fruit for several years now....but that was a very GRADUAL transition - I assure you! Ha! Ha!
-In philosophy, I follow the Essene line....and think that any food where you are not consciously killing the plant.......is a good thing.
-I personally only eat actual fruits.....which are the seed bareing fruit of plants.....and not the leaves...nu

2588. Re: colonics
Opinion:
-The first steps are to be clean internally - through a light.....fresh fruit & vegetable diet.......plenty of fresh pure water.....light fasting....light exercise....positive spiritual practice.........etc.
-After that, if you wanted to cleanse your colon....you could start with some light enemas.....and later find an inexpensive colon-hydrotherapist.
-This has been very ef

Ha! Ha! Right.
-I think YOU should decide which foods are more optimal (at least for YOU)....and then strive to include more of those things in your diet.
-I personally don't think frozen food is as high a quality as fresh - so I avoid it. If you feel more comfortable eating frozen food - go for it!

Great conversation! My opinion:
-I think since most people agree that fruits and vegetables are generally healthier for you - then why not simply focus on increasing the amount to an amount that you are comfortable with? It's all about steps forward.....and not so much about adopting a 'raw lifestyle'....you know?
-For some one who eats like 99% cooked food most of the time......dropping to

Look:
In the end, you are never going to know the exact truth. YOU have to do the research - and perhaps even experiment. You CAN go with the many pioneers or gurus who have gone before you......and choose to eat a balanced diet based on their recommendations - but you'll still have to make adjustments for yourself.
-Just make a decision about what YOU have determined to be the healthiest
