-The only problem is if you compare your performance to some one elses.....hold yourself up to some 'ideal'. -There IS a level of raw food that you are comfortable with RIGHT NOW. Start from that level and stretch slowly......rather than wasting your time in comparing yourself to an ideal. -Bite the bullet....be realistic about where you are now....and are comfortable with right now....whe

Opinion: -There is LONG term health....and there is crisis. If you are in a 'crisis' in your mind / body....then you must address this first off. -It is great that you are doing the research....trying to find alternative methods. On the practical side: -In the short term, you can rinse your mouth with salt....drink lemon water...fast....and meditate with presence and love and accepta

Opinion: -My kind advice is to avoid the 'all or nothing' mentality. There is SOME level of raw food that you ARE comfortable with and are eating right NOW. It should not be bankrupting you. All you have to do is plan a steady stretch of 1-2% from there! You will adjust your lifestyle and spending habits to accomodate your new healthy lifestyle as time goes on. You just can't see the whole pic

Increase the libido? My personal experience / opinion is that the sexual libido response is often a response to heavy foods or life-threatening / fearing behaviors. My personal experience is that fresh, raw plant food does not automatically increase the libido. Rather I feel somewhat liberated from more compulsive sexual behaviors. -Just my thing. -David Mason

Opinion: -The highest form of medidation is acceptance & presence (being highly observant and feeling). They say (or I say) that moving toward your fears is the best advice you can give anyone. -Practice meditating by moving toward your feelings....and by practicing not feeling bad about feeling bad. The evil that finds love and acceptance in your own soul - will leave the world. -D

Anything other than the Oat Groats / Berries (you'll see that they look like little grey wheat seeds) are not raw and are processed. -Anyway: keep in mind that there are no raw food police. This board is a great source of support and information.......especially as to what is raw and what isn't. After that - it is up to you to do the legwork....and make a slow transition that is right for you

-I find it to be a nervous system depressent - and a container of no vital nutrients or life - so I personally avoid it. -But if you think it's a good thing - I encourage you to drink more of it. Just try to find a company that sells it with as few additives as possible - I would imagine! -David Mason

-Thanks guys. I felt I reached a mature level....when I could simultaneously accept (inside me) the things that pleased the senses.....and hold clearly what I wanted and thought was good in my mind.....and allow them both....and still choose what I wanted. So much about overcoming hardship is to accept it deep inside inside yourself. When evil finds acceptance in your soul...it loses all life in

My experience: -I was highly motivated to change my health (I had become quite heavy...with high blood pressure.....and I was only 28). So I asked myself what I thought was the best thing I could do to improve my health......and started doing reserach....and determined that changing my diet would be best. -It didn't take me long to determine (in classic engineering fashion) what would be th

Exactly as Rob said. Just make small, personal changes for the better in your own life! -Vegetables give very little calories. -I think fruits are great. Most fruit and vegetables are PACKED with usable protein. -In my opinion, the whole idea that if you don't eat animal products....you are going to waste away to nothing is generally a myth. -Check out the Fruitarian One (love that g

I have done EXTENSIVE research into this. You will never have much luck locating truly fresh organic nuts. If a grower IS organic certified....then they are probably commercial....which means the nuts are processed & heated to kill bacteria. BUT: You CAN often by nuts direct from individuals on E-bay during the correct seasons (usually in the fall). You can just ask the individual abou

Just my opinions / thoughts: The above posts are GREAT! The whole philosophy of true healing is you DO NOT try to stop symptomology. You must be MORE aware of your symptoms...and their causes....and be honest about what you really want: true healing....or more of the lifestyle that places a person in a painful situation to begin with. -On the practical side: get plenty of rest when your bod

Well: -Cooked food takes a lot of energy out of the body to digest and break down - and gives little sunlight energy to you in return. The net effect is aging and death. -People think eating fresh fruits and vegetables are just a matter of getting more nutrients....but that's just a small part of the story. -Fresh fruits and vegetables also carry with them the sympathetic vibration of

Opinion: -You should go as slow.......in proportion to how badly your habits and eating WERE....and for how long. I would definitely give yourself at least 6 months - 1 year to feel comfortable with increasing amounts of all raw. If you feel good sooner - more power to you! -How should you expect to feel? It certainly varies. You will probably oscilate for some time......feeling energetic o

Eat only from the food you bring. -You can always stuff a couple of apples into your pocket when you know you are being invited to your local Italian Bistro. -If anyone asks you to eat something else, just simply say, "I only eat fresh fruits & vegetables."

Peace to you my friend! -The fact that you think there is a 'wagon'.....or you think you 'fell' means that you are putting undue pressure on yourself to adhere to some lifestyle that deviates too wildly from what you are presently comfortable with. -Somewhere between achieving ALL your dreams at once........and completely failing.....you will find YOUR level. Be honest with that and embra
