Yes, on Curezone there were recommendations to do a liver cleanse for locked shoulder. I was always a high fat eater because I never put on any weight. "more whipped cream please, and cake.." My sister's shiatsu massage healer has done what I just have to call a miracle on my shoulder this morning. I can raise my arm to shoulder level again, there was a lot of cathartic tears too am

Thanks all. Feels better already. Thomas, I go for brisk walks with my dogs every day for exericise cuz that's about all I can do and it definitely helps, I think my body is more efficient at producing endorphins now than in the past. Tension is part of my life right now, that was what lead me to this diet most of all I think. Rawrrr! Cherries, I love cherries and will devour some as soo

Have had 4 sessions of deep tissue massage and some accupuncture. Helps some but no real improvement, still feels likes it getting worse, more locked. The massage therapist is the one who suggested I try eating steak though he's a very nice person. Am going to try shiatsu tomorrow, my sister recommended me to her longtime shiatsu masseur who is up to the challenge. Thank God for this diet

Have been transitioning to raw for about 5 -6 months. Have come down with a very nasty painful case "frozen shoulder". It's been building for a couple of months. Doctor gave me painkillers and anti-infalammatories which I couldn't stomach - literally. I felt horrible on them. The only way I can control the pain is by eating all raw and very little fat. So now I'm 100%, that's the goo

Re wheatgrass, I've found a store that sells fresh wheatgrass juice and it's helping. I'm not eating any fat to speak of and staying raw and the shoulder pain is now bearable, I can even sleep on my side again. Have to stay 100% raw or I'm in agony! Happy spring to all!

Congrats on diving fight in. You won't regret it. I've been at this for about 5 months now. I try not get down on myself too hard if I eat unhealthy stuff occasionally and remember that this takes a while. Cooperating and communicating with my body is very is hard sometimes but is very rewarding on many levels and I hope you too find your way to vibrant 100% health!

Thank you so much Sachelle for sending me good vibes, you are truly sweet! Am trying to source out a supply of wheatgrass to try and heal my shoulder faster. That was agood suggeston. There was a huge bag of it a Planet Organic for $20 bucks but I wouldn't get through it all before it got bad.

Thanks Sachelle. Went for deep tissue massage and accupuncture and cupping on the shoulder last night, felt like it had been run over by a meat tenderizer when I got home. But it is helping. This is me (in the middle) a couple of weeks ago while on vacation. My sister, on the left, had breast cancer last year. I gave her Victoria Boutenko's book A Green Life. She knows what she has to do..

Thanks for sharing your story Uma. I too struggle some with the low weight issue but am lucky to have this forum to save me from myself and to have got the fruit message so early in my transition to raw. I probably would not have been as brave as you, just would have reverted back to cooked confusion when the going got tough. Re banana meals - I hate days when I don't have any ripe ban

I am still transitioning, it's been about 5 months. In the beginning to deal with the new empty feeling in my stomach, (I just wasn't eating enough fruits and veggies), I started snacking a lot on unsoaked nuts and seeds. Then I started to get symptoms of IBS (irritable bowel syndrome from undigested nuts and seeds in my gut). Fast forward to now, I have found that you do crave what you eat a

I now have all white plastic amalgam fillings, I doubt if they're perfectly safe either but when I had my silver fillings removed the dentist wrapped a rubber "dam" around each tooth to keep as much of the mercury from getting in me as possible. My current dentist told me the mercury in tooth fillings is "inert" and can't hurt me. Small comfort after seeing that video of v

The trouble for me with watching TV is I want to eat something, even after I've already eaten. I notice that salty stuff really makes me feel yuck the next morning. Am eating less and less and so need less and less.

I found this product and several others on a link through PETA. This dog kibble is decscribed as "raw" but the oats are steamed. Am seriously considering trying this type of product and maybe adding whole raw free-range eggs or maybe raw fish occasionally to stop having to buy animal parts :< to feed my dogs. Anyone else feed their pets veggie foods?

Thank you kindly for your words. Am struggling with a "frozen shoulder" and I feel the effects of the wrong food choices right away in the form of pain. Salt is bad for sure. The better my diet, the less the pain it's that simple.

I too feel cranky and irritable sometimes and I figure it's just because I'm not giving in to my usual cravings for fatty salty food like I was before. I take it as one of the challenges of transitioning my diet to a raw and healthy one. When any addict comes off their drug they get cranky too. Quitting smoking can make people very irritable. I also once read an interesting theory that parasit

My JRT was about a year old when I started him on raw, I remember nervously putting a raw chicken wing down in front of him and held my breath as I watched him expertly crunch and swallow it in less than a minute. Why was I so surprised he knew what to do lol? I try as much as possible to buy organic and free range chickens and organ meats. I also make sure they get a variety of vegetables and

What helps me to stay raw? Reading posts on this forum. Noting how horrible I feel when I eat cooked unhealthy foods. I'm frankly scared to go back to eating the old way. Eating raw still has it's challenges for me but the alternative is fatigue, days filled with anxiety and depression and being stiff and sore constantly.

Starfruit, You are so lucky to live in NYC. Raw restaurants, cute bartenders, tap dance classes, old guys bowing to you... The almond flax thing sounds interesting, how did it turn out? Do you have to soak Nori? I keep picking it up at the health food store and then putting it back, it seems like I have to pre prep it but you guys really seem to like it and use it often. Maybe I'm missing

The good news... I'm 100% raw today so far. Had a large papya for breakfast and 5 bananas for lunch and a delicious spinach/organic valencia orange green smoothie when I got home followed by a mashed avacado blended with two chopped tomatoes, no salt! The bad news... I'm not all that hungry, feel nauseous in fact because of painful tendonitis in my shoulder. Tried a few of days on Advil

Stockholme, I feel your struggle, I suffer from the stockholme syndrome of cooked food in the evenings in particular. My abusers are steamed brussell sprouts potatoes and Becel. I am always reminded of the parallels of eating raw to spiritual discipline (or any kind of discipline I guess). Dealing with cravings frequently reminds me of the famous Buddhist tale of the Ox Herder. That g

My goal is to get my body to the place where it is running so well it can take what it needs from mostly fruit and occasional greens and occasional fat. This can, as Bryan has said, take many years for some of us. But the good thing is you don't have to wait several years to start feeling much healthier. For me the journey started several months back with the green smoothies, not exactly the
