It's been exactly 1 week since my diagnosis of ALS.
Half the time I want to give up and not do anything particulary healthy. You know, go back to cooked vegan stuff, bottled psuedo healthy drinks... Not cheeseburgers and beer, but back to where I was before committing to raw a couple years ago.

I too have recently been thinking of how we are all subjected to so many toxins. It's overwhelming what I have been subjected to over the course of my life so far.
I have already lost much of the muscle in my right arm and hand. I am hoping it is not too late for me.

I'd like to order something by this weekend. I don't have much time to think... I've already lost most of the strength in my right hand and arm. I'm right handed. Now that I know what the symptoms are... I know it's starting on my left side and in my legs. Typing is difficult.

Calling all experienced juicers! I was hoping to buy a juicer by next year. My recent diagnosis with ALS has made me rethink that. I was leaning toward an Omega 8006. But then there is the Greenstar.

Yeah, right-handed. Can't hold a toothbrush in my right hand any more... Stuff like that. Hand/arm trembling when I try and hold my green smoothie jar in my right hand.

I have been diagnosed with a motor neuron diseases. Right now, atypical ALS. I am going to see some specialists ... who are more specialized than the specialists I am seeing.
Conservative medical opinion holds that there are two theories: (1) Genetics are to blame, or (2) Neurotoxins are to blame.
I can't do much if I have an inherited genetic disorder. However, I'm interested in any advice

For me, it's not about whether chemo is right for this kid or for you or for anyone. I think adults should have the right to decide and childen with the guidance and veto power of parents should decide, in consultation with doctors, how they will proceed.
Maybe chemo IS the right thing for this kid. Maybe not. But it should be up to his parents to have the final say.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I just got home from a SAD BBQ -- I brought two watermelons and ate half of one! No one else touched any so I didn't feel too bad about that. The SAD people ate store bought cake for desert. I had watermelon for lunch and desert.

I've been mostly raw for the past couple of years thanks mostly to the advice and information here. I'm having a problem, I was hoping some of you could weigh in on... For the past several months, I have had swollen lymph nodes in various places (groin, arm pits, neck variably). I think my lymphatic system is overloaded.
Any suggestions specific to lymph cleaning? Cleansing in general?

I was thinking how if the kid who is on the lam, running away from chemo, didn't have medical coverage the doctors, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies would let him die.
A dear friend of mine died a few years back because she couldn't get medical treatment because she didn't have medical coverage.
I say we let people live and die as they see fit and use the savings to pay for medical
