For relaxation I do a mantra. Also, devotional signing at group meditations that I attend. I am a very nervous person, I have to work on staying relaxed. I am also very sensitive to media. I do not watch violent movies. I also think that crying is important. Yesterday I heard a terrible news on the radio about a murder of an 8-year-old girl. (( I still feel shocked by it. I keep having thoughts a

Marcos, what I am saying is that I am happy for others to believe what they do and do colonics if they wish. I am not interested in trying to change other people minds on this. I ask for the same. I can only repeat what I already said. I do not like colonics and I am not planning on having them. I do not believe that I need to. I do believe that my body will take care of itself. Please please do

1) Eat raw foods you love. 2) Relax. Enjoy the journey. 3) Be open to change. 4) Be open to trying foods that you thought you did not like. 5) Don't dwell on the past. All experience can be used as useful learning. Gosia

No, I have not been raw all of my life. Still, I do not like colonics. I've had them in the past and I simply don't like them. I consider them too drastic on my inside. I firmly believe that my body will take care of itself in adequade time. I don't feel the need to speed up anything. I agree. If one wants to do colonics, feel free. But telling others that they should too is going too far, in

I wish I knew the answer. To me becoming vegan was effortless, because, without even realizing it, I gradually lost the desire for animal products, over the course of several years. So for me becoming vegan was more realizing that I already was one, rather than struggling to become one. I think that my transformation to high-fruit diet was similar, that is spontaneous, once I decided to go raw. P

I did have colonic irrigation as a SAD eater, many years ago (I am that old). I am not interested in them now though. I know that my body will take care of itself anyway. Gosia

blissmummy, I totally agree. In fact, we are slowly moving our kitchen to our backyard. So far, we planted some grapes, next come persimmon trees and orange trees. cfd7f, when I shop, I keep loading food as other people keep passing by. For example, I load four big bags of mandarines, while the passers by load at most half. We eat a lot. Gosia

I wonder, what IS a raw kitchen? In my kitchen, there is no stove, but you will see lots of fruit around, in baskets, on the bench tops, on the table, under the table. The only appliance that we use on regular basis is a blender, we use it for making smoothies. Otherwise, it is just a messy display of fruit. We are a busy family. It is perhaps not a kitchen in a conventional sense. We kept the fr

I enjoyed it Skye, thanks for the good laugh. I think that the idea of putting durians next to the toilet was the cleaverest disguise. When my family first bought durian and opened it in our house, my son locked himself in his room. It smelled like a fart ( a one with a large radius of spread). Afterwards, a similar strong smell emanated from my husband's armpits. Gosia

Interesting question. Personally, I believe in collective consciousness. And monkeys (nature). I wonder also about the difficulty of tracing who really started that, considering that not all might have been recorded. Some historical notes are available at . Gosia.

Hi Ally, Thanks for sharing. I'm glad that you are better now. Yes, I think that on cooked we are naturally inclined to eat more calories because we are not getting enough nutrients otherwise. Interestingly, Luke (my husband) and I observed that we do experience dizziness whenever we allow some cooked foods in our diet. Otherwise, we are fine. I experienced dizziness as a young girl (I was

"Rawgosia, Knowing the number of grams of protein you get in a day DOES help you determine whether you are getting sufficient protein for that day, but ONLY if you ALSO know how much TOTAL protein you SHOULD be getting (the RDA for the specific food). If you know that, right on. If however you don't have that information, there is not much reason to bother counting up the grams. But if

Fruit-based raw-diet simple daily-menu example: 12 bananas, 2 heads of lettuce and 7 slices of avocado. This gives 35g protein (1972 cal, carb:protein:fat ratio approx 82:8:10). Plenty. Gosia.

I eat when hungry, which is can easily be more than three times a day. In the past I used to graze more, but more recenlty I find that the time intervals between my meals can be longer. A funny thing with raw foods is that often, as soon as I notice some pattern, it changes! Gosia

Kohlabri, the is the worst case of misunderstanding I’ve ever seen on raw boards. Let me explain. I will attempt to be as explicit and detailed as I can. ------------------------------------------------------- “> kohlabri, throwing wrong/hostile statements in my > direction does not help your argument. Oh my god, this is the weakest comeboack I've ever seen in my entire life.

kohlabri, throwing wrong/hostile statements in my direction does not help your argument. "So how come you didn't know that 1.2 grams out of a 100 grams is 1.2 percent? That is so basic it's like first grade level." Where specifically did you see me saying that I did not know that? Do you think that saying that helps your argument? Please note that it doesn't. It only proves that

I see that this surprising discussion is still going on. I am really surprised, because I have never seen and statistical or even anecdotal evidence that specifically raw foodists should worry about becoming protein defficient. On the contrary. I see raw foodists who heal themselves from all sort of problems, and transform their bodies. I see kids growing up on an all-raw diet in all-raw families

Hi again everyone, I maintain what I said. That is, being a raw foodist does not cause protein deficiency. I don't care about how much % of protein a lettuce or anything else has, because I know that whatever it is, it is enough. How do I know this? Because I exist! And, because many others do, naturally. Have a look at this guy, for example (The Fruitarian One, fruitarian for 11 years):

kohlrabi, I will make my point clearer. I am not interested in all the argument (which I read all) but in facts. In this case, the fact is that people eating mostly fruit and greens such as the guy above, obviously do not suffer from protein deficiency. I don't either. No amount of argument is going to prove otherwise, naturally. If one wants to engage in rationalizing, it is well known (and a
