I tend to not eat much garlic anymore except when I feel like I'm in the first stages of getting a cold or flu. When I use garlic its more for the potent antibiotic. Its not an easy thing to change eating habits that have been with us for a lifetime. Be kind to yourself as you take the steps in your journey. Being 100% works the best for me because I find that a little cooked opens the door to more cooked and I find myself going down the slippery slope toward the cliff where the "used to be raw" peeps fall off. Being a "used to be raw" person might be OK for some but I would rather feel good and be healthy. I think a little raw is good and more raw is better and all raw is best.

I continually fine tune my my produce selection skills by looking the produce over carefully just before I eat it. I look at firmness, color, smell etc. and then cut it open and eat it. The connection between what I taste and my look/see at the produce is a great teacher.

When a person is transitioning to a raw diet I think it is better to focus on getting with the raw foods in general and not be to concerned with the low fat. Just eat anything you want as long as its raw and adjust from there.

When I went all raw I lost weight at a good clip for a long time and then my body leveled out and I stopped losing weightt. I did this while eating plenty of fat in the form of avocados but When my weight leveled out I still had a small spare tire of flab around my middle. It wasn't until I got low fat by cutting down on avocados and any other fats in my diet that the spare tire finally disappear

I find that when I get my greens I have small or no cravings. There are a lot of different ways to get some greens into the diet. I like to juice my greens. Basically I juice my greens and eat whole fruits as one food meals or in simple combinations. Good luck.

Foods that are still growing when you chomp down on them are the most alive. For example sprouts that are still sprouting away are top of the list of live foods IMO. Wilted lettuce and other foods that have been picked and sat around for awhile are further down the list of live foods. I also consider fruits that are continuing to ripen after being picked to be high on the list as long as the frui

When I'm not feeling well Garlic is one of the first things I reach for. I have found sprouted garlic to be the best. Many cooks throw out the center of the garlic where the sprout grows but IMO thats the most healing part of the plant.

My sister and I no longer communicate. She is "pushy" and seems to thrive on stirring up trouble that she claims she does "for your own good". I finally reached a point where I told her not to bother me any more. Its not that I don't love my sister but I just can't get along with her. Relationships are a fragile thing.

You might want to add some soft fruits like mangos and papayas for fiber and continue to drink plenty of fresh made juice to keep your calories up. A good place to start experimenting to find a combination of fiber & juice that works for you might be around 50%/50% of each. Good luck.
