Brasileiros are so friendly and nice and they want to be kind to you, so they probably try hard to find the thing that would make you feel most welcome. When I lived in France (I'm Canadian), it was similar - they wanted me to eat and drink lots of wine, but I just couldn't keep up to them. I haven't been to Brasil but have plans to go, hopefully during their summer, and would like to spend ti

I have low blood pressure and take cq10 - its very very helpful, even on raw diet with lots of greens - I don't function well without it. I also have congestive heart failure and kidney disease and I know it helps all those problems too.

Are you eating anything expensive? Try to buy low-cost vegs and fruits, also beans you can sprout yourself. Large amounts of nuts become unnecessary once you and your body realize you don't need the amounts of protein SAD eaters need. Oils and dried fruits aren't especially healthy, but they are expensive. You do have to eat a lot to get calories and it doesn't seem easy to satisfy yo

Hey optimist ! This forum section is where you're supposed to establish only ONE thread and add all your comments to it. (see where it says that at the top?) It's a diary or blog type of section, not for general questions. It would be fun to read your posts like a blog and you get to ramble on if you so desire, about anything that matters to you. I'm too lazy to commit to that, but I

Today I drank 2 of these: about 2 cups water about 4 cups rough-chopt parsley about 3-4 dates Blend for about 1-2 minutes on high. Add water if it's too thick. Yum.

If cravings kick in, don't worry - that's just part of detox and you'll have to muddle through without beating yourself up. Congrats, the coffee habit was huge for me too!

I eat at least 3 cups a day of parsley, by putting it in smoothies...I'm drinking a parsleyand date smoothie right now and I love the flavour. I use about $4 worth of organic parsley a day, which is approx. 4 cups chopt. My iron levels (skin tone and energy ) have improved dramatically since drinking these.... it only took 2-3 weeks to see a huge difference and it all keeps getting better.

Having orthodontic work can be extremely upsetting to the whole body. Both of my kids had orthodontics and felt completely miserable after each adjustment. Some people feel worse than others. It's best to expect it and your orthodontist should know that and inform you about it.

My iron levels shot up 2-3 weeks after I started drinking parley smoothies with little to no fat, just a little kale and a couple of dates added. I was anemic for years previous to this and with the complexion of fax paper, despite taking quality iron supplements and eating plenty of red meat (cooked rare usually). Now the skin all over my body glows and always looks tanned and rosy, though

Maybe the essential oils are too harsh for your skin. Or maybe there are hidden ingredients which bother you. The first two aren't organic (are the others certified organic, because almost anything can be labelled 'organic'), but there can be very harsh processing agents which aren't required to be listed on the label.

I have a mini-trampoline, but I don't recommend it. It gives a short, stiff bounce. Rebounders are said to give high, gentle motion, which creates the positive and negative Gs to help the lymph flow. I would like to get a good rebounder one day, (it's on the backburner), so thanks for the info on Needak!

I have sesame oil that is labelled: Unrefined, Cold-pressed (it's Orphee brand). I don't like reading instructions without explanations, so I wish they'd say WHY to use one oil over the other, or it just seems whimsical.

I got to really like D and G - the actress who plays her has such an upbeat way about her and free self-expression, that it made me feel upbeat too. You can get the bitter stuff out of cukes by cutting the end off, then rubbing the cut ends together in a (fast) circular motion. If there's bitter stuff in them, you'll see a thick, white, sort-of foamy stuff forming where the friction occurs. Yo

I'm going to try this - I can buy it today, but I'm wondering something: does it taste and feel like soap in your mouth? You know that harsh feeling when soap gets in your mouth? I hope it doesn't feel like that!

Just wondering if the materials you work with are causing a defiency or challenge as your body tries to deal with the toxicity of inhaling their dust or fumes or sawdust. My body reacts similarly to toxic inhalants as it does to foods I'm allergic or sensitive to - they act like xenoestrogens and I get many similar symptoms. (dry skin, though not bruising that I have noticed)

What other animal plays with its food the way domestic cats do? That's one reason I don't want to live with cats - I had them years ago, but really didn't enjoy the way they would torment and kill baby birds, then having to hear the mama bird cry for days afterward and having the whole neighbourhood angry at my cat! I knew a woman, now deceased, who used to be able to convince a cat to drop

Our chihuahua is allergic to grains - meats and vegs are fine. The only snack food she gets is dried ooligans.....I've given them to large dogs visiting us and they love them too, though they're small morsels for large dogs.

lara bars make me sickish and I don't think they're actually raw. Please try to eat very simple foods, just the way they come from the garden, even for a few hours or few days and see how it goes. Very sick people have to go straight to the best sources of nutrition, and anything processed is much harder to digest than simple garden food. And they're dense foods, which sickly bodies can't

Karen, I know exactly what you mean! You mention some problem and everyone starts trying to convince you how to fix it, as if you had never even considered the obvious over decades of having it! I was just curious.... I don't know how to cure autism! I had heard mixed results with cst, and don't really know anyone with an autistic child, and remembered you had mentioned cst, so...... W

Jodi, get some craniosacral....it's so great for releasing those 'irrational' feelings we have (patterns). There's no shame in having these things - everyone has them. It's surprising how both simple and difficult to deal with them....simple, because they usually stem from things we've known all along, and difficult because they have an amazing grip on us. Emotional detox is so similar to phys

Not a myth, but the best coping mechanism that standard medicine and diet could come up with. I had low blood sugar for decades. The hardest thing for me to give up for raw diet was red meat. I craved the protein and iron. Best solution for me: one or two daily parsley and kale smoothies with a tiny amount of raw sesame seed and some dates to sweeten. I'm in my forties and my skin tone is aw
